I would recommend you reach out to wright travel (the owners of this site) and let them know the resort you are interested in, and ask them how familiar they are with the hotel. I'm sure they will be able to assist! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sad news post hurricane! I was at this resort last year just before it moved from a Barcelo to a Hyatt- I'm sure they will have it back to it's glory soon but very sad! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You can have your WC send you the info as well... It's pretty standard. $15/pp for 3 hrs on the beach with s'mores fixins.... Bonfire is very small but it includes an open bar and reviews from past brides has been great! We are planning this for our welcome event too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ahhh perks! (Not packages).... Yes this is good stuff! Most GI agents will share what they can provide you! Some are even better than this! Depending on the number of guests, the cocktail reception is usually free anyway- and the caribe photo credit is only good of you go with them as your photographer (many do not)... So spa package is the best bet- or check with your TA they often have better perks like excursions! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

To Have A Wedding Party Or Not?
kmk2016 replied to ANM3's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
We are having a bridal party but we are paying for their dresses/suits. We don't want to have them pay anything extra out of pocket to be standing next to us at the altar since our package price was expensive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Beach Spikes!

Depending on how DIY savy you are, you can buy these a lot cheaper from oriental trading company and others, and just personalize yourself! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
worried about low attendance for our wedding
kmk2016 replied to BethandBill's topic in Brides Roll Call
Our deadline is on Monday, and as expected most guests are "my family" our friends he acquired through our relationship... He has 3 school friends who have booked and his brother/wife and his parents.... We are still hoping one remaining childhood friend still books (said he would), but thankfully his groomsmen all came through! Our biggest surprise is the number of friends who we have met in recent years through our kids activities who are all good friends to us- who have booked! Shocked really- since they are all coming with their families so a big expense for them!! We have 6 families from hockey alone! The kids are thrilled! We are currently at 72 people... We may get to 75-80 by Monday but all the outstanding RSVPs are his... So doubtful. At least it looks like my reminder postcards are working!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
What do you mean "thousands of dollars for music"? Yes DJs are between $800-$1500 depending on what you want (but you can always do an iPod reception if a DJ isn't what you want). But if you are looking at bringing in a band or performer those can be expensive depending on what you are looking for. The weddingsbylomas website have all the vendors that are currently approved by Karisma and will give you an idea of costs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Did they have a cloth feel? Or were they more real touch rubbery feeling? They are so pretty! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

They should no longer be working as a single wedding coordinator. They are now a team. Brigette normally replies to me working a few hours.... Or someone else from the team... But since the change I have never waited longer than 24hrs for a reply and clear answers to my questions or corrections. You should also have full visibility of your detail sheet online. You simply need to ask for your password and log in info... It's helpful to ensure your updates are correct. Make sure you ask your questions is bullet form so they are easily replied to and ensure you use your master email that links your queries (don't change the subject line) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

We aren't having anything at home either- those who don't want to/can't travel to our wedding want us to do am AHR, but no go. It would have made our DW irrelevant. Stay firm to what you want and don't let anyone else make you do something you don't want. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

-Coordinating your guests travel plans and not having them phone you for details and questions -negotiating great pricing -experts with your specific resort and their property advantages/disadvantages -assist with resort WC when needing back up in discussions -perks, bonus deals and incentives that would not otherwise be offered Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

One tip I would give is to decide your budget and then look at what approved vendors are available to you at the resort you are interested in and start there. If you can find an approved vendor that you like, it's the best way to go when trying to be conscious of your budget since if you decide not to use ones supplied/approved by your resort you must pay an outside vendor fee (or a room stay minimum as a guest for the vendor). karisma has an $800 fee per vendor, for using anyone that isn't approved. So that can add up quick! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm assuming you know what resort since you are posting in the forum for the resort- but sky decks are at azul sensatori and azul fives... And one is being built at generations riviera maya. These are all karisma properties and use the same planning process/WC team etc.... There are other hotels in Mexico that also have elevated decks but the Karisma ones are all very similar in what is included etc. Good luck and happy planning! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I agree on the recommendation to use a travel agent! I'm getting married at Azul sensatori in spring 2016 and the TA has been invaluable. We will have close to 80 people and quite a few kids as well. Canadian packages are very different so find someone good! Both Tinker and I are using the same girl and she is fabulous. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If you choose the legal ceremony you can not add or divert at all to the script. It has to remain exactly as they have it written. I think someone posted the specific ceremony in the official thread- or you can ask for it from your WC but it's very clear you can't add your own touches when choosing the legal version. I would post this in the buy/sell forum rather than news/updates to get more responses Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes!!!! Not sure if you are American or Canadian but Canadians book with a TA and it's with an operator that coordinates a hotel/flight combo and Americans book separate but use someone like Wright travel whom are top GI certified agents with Karisma and can negotiate great rates and promotions for you!!! My WC experience has been excellent actually. I had a great one initially and now that they have changed to working as a design team with several girls on one account it's been really fast! I still don't know how they can have your ceremony at 4pm and another at 6pm in the same space! Changing the gazebo drapery, chairs, flowers, decor... All before guests arrive for. 6pm ceremony gives them 1hr tops in between! If the date was already chosen when you booked your location in surprised they allowed it. That's why I would double check your detail sheet file online to confirm you have the space. I would add a cocktail reception following your ceremony as a place holder... Just to see if they say you can't due to another ceremony taking place- you can cancel it before your wedding lol. Maybe the second ceremony is somewhere else on property? (They don't allow two wedding ceremonies to be happening at exactly the same time) I locked down my time/location immediately on same day as I booked my wedding... And made sure the space/time was available. I'm not until February 2016 so I was lucky to be first on the list and get the priority time... It's amazing how quickly they get reserved! (I guess I'm an example of that haha)... I knew however that if I couldn't get my requested location for both ceremony and reception I wouldn't want to get married there. I'm at Sensatori sky deck not Fives but WC and planning/rules are identical from what I have read/seen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ahhh that just plain sucks! Hopefully she will consider working with the schools to do his exams early!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm surprised they are allowing even that! Normally at azul resorts they only allow 1 wedding ceremony per location/day... 2 hours between ceremonies is not much time at all! Especially since they need to swap out all decor! I would confirm with your WC that they in fact have 2 weddings on the sky deck that are 2 hours apart! There is no way I would pay the $1700 and have this happen. It would be unacceptable. (We did the BDR in June) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
