  1. Just a reminder girls... When trying to reach 150 I totally get that it's tempting to just madly choose random posts to comment on- but it floods the new content with often VERY old posts (like posts that are 4+ years old and OP Long since gone) There's tons of awesome info on this forum, so look for CURRENT topics that are of interest or which are about your resort/theme/area and start interacting! It will happen sooner than you know it... And will feel SOOOO MUCH less of a chore than one word posts... Promise! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. This bride was married 5 years ago! Lol... Why are such old threads be resurrected! Haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Yes they are one used frequently. There is an entire forum on dressmakers in china that is worth a read! Also wedding bee has very active threads on the subject! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I would!!! That covers the open bar staying open for that extra time too- (I believe)... If that helps convincing the FI! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Does their fee including set up and decor? That seems steep to me too. Most resorts will have wedding coordinators who will work with you as well- at no additional charge than what you pay the resort. Depending on what you need- you may not need to hire a 3rd party! A good TA and on resort coordinators can normally more than manage. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Check into outside vendor fees if you don't use one they have on their approved list.... But I think $1000-1500 is pretty standard. Then add whatever the outside vendor fee would be. You may be able to find one for $500-$1000 but may be more limited in what they offer Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Wright travel runs this site and is amazing according to many American brides! I would recommend them for sure! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Mine is like that. I built it on wedshare.com and my address is www.kimiandmark.com Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. The official sensatori thread has all the dimensions. http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/index.php?/topic/72018-OFFICIAL-Azul-Sensatori-Thread 10 would be very tight unless you were a table of kids. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. You can choose whatever you want when as Allie said, you meet with your onsite coordinator with final details. If you are identifying your tables with numbers (or something else) it shouldn't affect your ability to do your seating plan. The tables remain round and seat 8. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. They are round tables of 8 with an option for a sweetheart table. You can configure them however you like- space permitting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Our RSVP date and booking deadline were the same day to avoid confusion. We have 78 people booked and allowing people 1 year to pay off vacation. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Are you in canada or US? This will have be a huge factor since pricing is done differently. Also time of year and star level of resort. We are staying at a 5 star during high season and it is $2000/pp. (taxes, flights and transfers for 7 days included) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. It really isn't bad! Just get involved in the resort planning threads where you are getting married and join the discussion. Many simply make one word comments on OLD posts to get there- that kind of defeats the purpose, but if you participate and get to know the girls here, you won't regret it! The information shared is far more valuable than the templates! (But those are awesome too!) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Set up fees are $250 maximum and must be paid in cash at time of your onsite planning meeting with your WC. It can be less depending on your requests but $250 is the max. If you only need menu cards, programs laid out... They don't charge. This is discussed and negotiated on site at your arrival planning meeting... NOT with your Florida WC. This $250 covers all wedding events. It is not per event. Sorry... I know it's been written here before but obviously not in this thread (if you didn't see it either) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Welcome Best suggestion is for you to read this and the other azul fives threads from start to finish and most if not all your answers will be given! Then if there are still questions... Ask away! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. It's my saving grace! Thank you to all the great girls here! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I wouldn't plan a DW without one Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Most bring them down. The official sensatori thread has all the dimensions and lengths for string lights etc Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. We originally were going to ask a guest who is a professional photographer to shoot our wedding. (She actually offered) But she required a second shooter to get all the shots necessary, or at a minimum an assistant to help with lighting etc, (she explained this to me when we were getting into details) so two trips to our resort was the same price as hiring the photographer we liked from Cancun. I also didn't want the stress of not liking my photos and potentially ruining a friendship (though I love her work) and decided it best to not mix friendship with business. 21. I would book as early as possible to a) secure your date and lock in a current price! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Not sure if OP still checks in here so I thought id let others know I purchased the balls and parasols so for sure those aren't available any longer Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Not sure where you are getting married but usually no. But many brides factors in costs like decor and decide to bring their own linens/centrepieces and only pay a small set up fee. I loved that our wedding package price was quite low like yours, as it allowed us to custom design our day perfectly to our taste. So far, thanks to the research here on btw before finalizing our resort and plans.... There haven't been any real surprise costs... Sure my tastes have me having to cut some things and DIY others, but nothing has come as a total surprise to my budget. I'm sure there will be a few... But thanks to the brides here i can hopefully plan ahead! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. It's not typical for your officiant to attend the rehearsal but it CAN be done. It needs to be added to your detail sheet and scheduled ahead of time- and there is a fee for them to attend. You can book this with your off site WC... We are doing this. It is $100 for 30 minutes and can be done up to 4 days prior. You can also write your own ceremony if symbolic... And there are lots of great examples on this website. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. No chargers are included in the basic set up for receptions. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
