@@BeeJewell Im even worse off I wanted a 3 pm ceremony, because im getting married in the winter season so I didn't want it to be too dark for my pictures....but all they had left on my day was 2pm or 5pm...so I went with 2...so I have hourssssss inbetween. :S I don't know how that's gonna work out. Trying to figure out what to do with all of these people for 3+ hours. im sure pictures will take about an hour, but then after that I don't know. I guess people can always go back to their rooms to freshen up or grab some snacks from the snack bar.... Im hoping my FI doesn't get too liquored up before the reception either loll. I don't think 4 to 630 is too long of a break, that's pretty good actually. @@MrsSheppardToBe Ya im only doing a 3 hr reception too....ive read on multiple reviews that people usually go down to the pool bar afterwards to continue the party. Plus really the lobby bar is right outside the reception area im sure you can just move the party over. At least that's what im planning on lol

Did you get a flower catalogue yet? the girl has said she attached it but it wasn't on the email. @@MrsSheppardToBe Just curious whats your timeline for your wedding day? I cant remember if the ceremony with the champagne toast is an hour? I swear I researched so many resorts all the infos mixed up now loll I was thinking of doing the speeches at the champagne toast part.

@@BeeJewell Ya I plan on doing the same & just using the resort photographer...I've looked at the website 7 prices are reasonable & their photos are actually pretty good. so I was checking my confirmation email from the resort, that also was asking me a few details for my wedding & ana isn't on the email, you think I should forward her my reply email to the resort? just in case...

@@BeeJewell. Okie so I ended up getting my wedding deposit receipt and wedding confirmation....finalllyyyyy! It actually took me getting a little nasty for me to get anywhere. I told my TA that if I didn't hear anythig from the resort before June 1st I would cancel with the resort....next thing you know I got an email confirming everything and asking for my details from the group coordinator at the resort sent to me and cc'd my TA. She had cc'd Ana and that guy Sergio's email too, so I guess my TA went above their heads I dunno. But I'm 7 months away from my date...had to get er done! Hopefully you get yours as well!

@@MrsSheppardToBe @@BeeJewell Okie, so I still haven't really gotten any confirmation from the resort on wedding or anything. My TA spoke with Sergio again today & again im still waiting on him to send me confirmation that the weddings fully booked so I can start nailing down the major details like wedding package & locations. So basically I am bombarding them with emails. I sent an email to the address you posted Britt. & I sent Ana an email requesting my wedding deposit confirmation & also requested all the major details for the wedding that I want......package I would like, ceremony type & location, reception location ..I cant really afford to wait another month to sort this big stuff out. I'm staying polite of course, but im done patiently waiting for them to reply back to my couple of emails. I need this stuff confirmed on paper from the wedding coordinators. the clock is ticking! fingers crossed, we all get some information back from the resort on everything we're waiting on. Fingers crossed ladies!

@@BeeJewell I don't have Sergio's email just the ones for Vanessa and Ana...but sounds like your in the same boat I am! I'm still waiting on the confirmation email and haven't been able to pick my locations yet. Didn't get anything today either from the resort but I'm gonna call my TA tomorrow, he's pretty good at getting back to me & getting info. I'll ask him if he has this Sergio's email etc. It's literally been my number 1 source of anxiety I feel like I'm in limbo until I get the details locked down...and clock is ticking...need to send invites too! Ughhhhhhhh I need to check my cc statement too to make sure they've processed it or not. I'll keep you in the loop with whatever I find out

I want to have the ceremony & reception on the terrace..So im kinda stressing a little...I just want all that stuff confirmed, so I can relax for the rest of the details. fingers crossed I can get it all locked down before june rolls around. Ya its much easier just using the resort vendors, I agree. Im debating on using the resort salon to do hair & make up....im a bit picky, but I then I think it could totally be a disaster if I do my hair myself loll so im on the fence. I wish there was more pictures of brides that have had their hair done at the resort salon! You'll have to send me some pics when you come back from your wedding! Its sooo soon!

@@MrsSheppardToBe Yes don't freak out! Its all going to be great no matter who is coordinating! I mean really who knows if they're really gone for good, or maybe he meant they're on vacation? I dunno. Supposed to get my confirmation today, so fingers crossed I can get it all settled & finally get all the major details settled with the resort...like reception & ceremony locale. I'll let you know what happens & who sends me the details...I do know that this Sergio guy, had all of my emails I sent to vanesa, so try not to worry! P.S. are you gonna do your hair & makeup with the resort salon??? @@Leslied You really did ease a lot of my worries though! soo relieved I don't have to worry about what wires to bring etc etc! Getting very excited, your wedding sounded exactly how I hope mine turns out. A super fun party with friends & fam! Ya I never thought of bringing napkins...duh loll but that's a great way to add the pop of colour....im doing peach & gold & creams. Your napkins & table runners sound beautiful! wish I could sew loll! have a good day ladies!

Because I had sent my deposit in weeks ago...no replies then finally about a week ago Vanessa replied that they were gonna process the deposit and send me confirmation as soon as it went through....well I never got anything back....tried emailing but nothing. So I took your advice and called my TA...he found out the Ana & Vanessa no longer work there????? What!!!!!!! Omg honestly, most stressful few weeks ever. So this other guy Sergio has all of Vanessa emails and said he would process the deposit. So hopefully everything will be sorted out by tomorrow. Now I just gotta check with my CC company that it wasn't processed twice...just in case. I just hope my date and time is still available and everything works out. I need I confirm my ceremony & reception locations. Totally stressful.

A few questions if you don't mind loll what did you need to bring for the Ipod hook up to the speakers?? Also, if you don't mind my asking how much did they charge you for the extra hour of dancing?? Great idea about the napkins at the reception & champagne in the room for getting ready! And possibly options for dinner. I know the Del mar/beach are most affordable, but basically they're all next door to each other so i doubt a huge difference. anyone have any prices on in house DJ? or even just adding a sound system/ipod hookup for the private dinner reception?

Hi so I am getting the silver package with an upgrade to the private dinner reception, only Paola just let me know a sound system/iPod hookup is not included. So I'm assuming I only have the option to hire a dj? Anyone have any quotes for how much the dj cost at iberostar paraiso?

Any other jan 2015 brides booked for Oceans T? I just received notificatoin from the wedding coordinator, and they've increased the prices by $400 for the wedding package! craazyyy. Trying to get them to honor 2014 prices, anyone else have a similar experience? Thanks, Amanda

@Pitita@dknight0001 I totally read this review myslef ladies, & i was having mini panick attack lolll But then his info didnt make sense....im pretty sure pics arent included in the wedding packs? and he said something about using outside vendor for mayan ceremony? something like that??? So im choosing to ignore lolll most of the reviews i've read were really positive. especially regarding the wedding coordinator & service.

@@dknight0001 No i dont personally have any pictures, just what i have googled. They're pretty into the social network, the resort has a FB page, Pinterest & instagram loll. I feel like it helps me to relax a little seeing actual pictures. hahaha Im looking to book for mid Jan 2015 sometime soon. When you booked did they give you any information on whether bar was included in the Turquoise breeze package or if it is an extra? I keep forgetting to email them this question.
