Hello fellow brides! I am trying to decide between Azul Beach and Beach Palace. They are both smaller resorts, and in the same price range for guests. Looks like it might come down to how much the actual wedding will cost. Could anyone share their research they have done for Beach Palace? Their weddings seem VERY generous, with lots of perks if you reach the 75 booked nights. I am assuming I will hit the 75 room nights, and will have around 50 people at my wedding. I will probably be doing April 2015. I would go with the complimentary package which includes 30 people, so does anyone have a cost breakdown for additional people? I am on a pretty tight budget, so would love to hear from anyone who is willing to share. Also - does it cost extra for the sky terrace for either the cocktail reception or dinner? Thanks in advance!!

@jasstz @KaraEbeth @@talicea7812 Thank you so much for your replies and advice! I am becoming aware of the crazy outside vendor fee's, but plan on going with a DJ and Photographer from Lomas to avoid the fees. It seems like Lomas doesn't have the best selection, and is very expensive, but it might be better than paying the outside vendor fee. Also, I will probably just do a very basic floral centerpiece from Lomas, maybe a single daisy or something in a vase that I will provide, and will just be going with white linens and keeping everything pretty basic. I am a graphic designer, so will definitely be adding little touches, but the location of a beach for a reception will be beautiful enough, I don't want to overdo it with a bunch of overpriced decor. I'm not having a wedding party - so that will save the costs of bouquets. I am just going to have a maid of honor and best man. Is anyone else just going with a photographer or DJ from Lomas? I am meeting with my travel agent on Saturday to look over everything, and hopefully will book a date at Azul Beach soon! Please keep me updated on your research and plans, this is the best free resource that I have found! Much appreciated! Stephanie MultiQuote -
@@CurlyKristen I just stumbled across Azul Beach in my research for a destination wedding and it looks amazing! I am also looking at Moon and Beach Palace, and Dreams Riviera Cancun. Azul Beach seems very affordable for the guests, and they also seem to have very generous wedding packages. I would be going with the complimentary wedding package, and then adding everything on. Aparently, if you do a reception dinner on the beach, it ranges from $14-30 per person, which includes EVERYTHING - dinner, drinks, tables, chairs, set up fee, etc. A lot of the other resorts nickel and dime you for all of that stuff. I went on Azul Beach's website and got on the live chat feature, and chatted for a half hour with one of their wedding planners, and got such great information! Here are the links that really helped me! http://karismahotels...ip.com/i/183324 http://www.memorable...otherLinkTest=0 I'll keep you posted on my learnings!

This thread is awesome, thank you all in advance for sharing such valuable information! I am very interested in Dreams Riviera Cancun, and if I had to guess my wedding would be April 2015 with about 50 people. It seems very affordable for the guests, which is my main concern since I am dragging them all the way to Mexico! Can anyone share any info on the additional costs of chairs/tables/dinner etc. for the additional people, because I noticed the packages only cover 20 people. Also - do they use the same chairs for the wedding as they do the reception for dinner? Also - what kind of group rates did you get? Do you get any perks for booking a certain amount of rooms? I am also looking into Moon Palace, which is more expensive for the guests, but they offer a ton of perks. Thank you in advance!

Hello fellow brides! I am still waiting to hear back from a travel agent on the details, but my wedding will probably be April 2015. I am trying to decide between a few places, so far Moon Palace and Dreams Riviera Cancun are my top two. At Moon Palace, it looks like you get a TON more perks, $1500 resort credit, free events if you book a certain amount of rooms, etc. But Dreams Riviera Cancun looks like it will be a lot more affordable for the guests. If anyone could share any info with me that would be extremly helpful! Thanks in advance

Congrats on your exciting and beautiful wedding - looks like it is coming along very nicely! I am currently looking into Moon Palace, looks great for a large group, including kids. If you don't mind, could you share the rates you were given for the rooms? Approximately how much would it cost for a couple for 7 days? The wedding seems very beautiful and affordable, I just want to make sure I get the best deal for our guests. Thanks! Stephanie

I just joined this site today, and am also interested in Privilege Aluxes! I am in the same boat as you, having trouble finding good reviews. The resort seems awesome and decently priced for our guests, and the ceremony/reception seems affordable as well. I vacationed in Cancun a few years ago, and took a day trip over to Isla Mujeres, and absolutely fell in love with the place! But during my search on here I've found a few people mention how amazing the Zama Beach Club is, so I'm going to try to find a cost breakdown for there. How many guests do you anticipate having? Keep me posted on your research, and I will do the same! Thanks and best of luck! Stephanie

I would love to get married on Isla Mujeres, and am in dire need of some help! Is/has anyone gotten married at Privileges Aluxes or the Zama beach club? If so, I would truly appreciate a cost breakdown, and maybe the total cost (and number of guests) I am also interested in Moon Palace in Cancun. I am on a very tight budget, but these are my dream wedding places! Thanks in advance
