Does anyone know if the marriott would allow someone like Janelle to come in and assist since she is a planner outside of the marriott event planning organization?

@TheTomato @petunia or anyone else in this thread... where did you have your receptions in st john? We are doing our ceremony at Trunk Bay and do not have a location yet for our reception. We would much rather do a dinner than a "reception" as we are having a full reception when we return home. @K&Rwedding Do you know if they do a discount for law enforcement? Or just government employees? Either way that is wonderful! Did anyone stay at the Westin, Caneel Bay, or The Ritz (St Thomas) for their honeymoon?? Looking for a very romantic location for my future hubby and I after our destination wedding! @@Ursie77 @@lpstjohn81 I am assuming you both probably have had your weddings by now (LOL) can you give me any advice on locations for receptions? Also hair salons? Has anyone worked with Ceremonies of St John as their planner? I would love info on whomever you decided to use as a planner!

@@rosewolf Which villa did you end up using? I was unable to find a villa that would allow me to just rent out for the weekend vs for an entire week. Did you use a private chef? Do you think this would be doable for a "honeymoon" after a destination wedding? To charter a boat and said for a few days? We would need a boat with a crew so I just curious if you have any insight into cost. There is a chance that I read WAY too in depth into that one sentence in your post lol but I figured it was worth a shot! Also, @@IslandLover I would love to hear where you ended up doing your wedding!! We are staying at the marriott, getting married in st john with our dinner at havana blue after. I would have LOVEDDDD to use the Ritz, but good God too much money. WAY TOO MUCH MONEY. I do however hope to get to the Ritz for a couples massage or something while we are there!

I have been in contact with Adventure Center and they have been wonderful so far in helping us plan a "boys day fishing charter" and a "girls day british virgin islands snorkel day" for our wedding guests!

Havana blue looks gorgeous and exactly like what we wanted. Did everything go okay for you? @@Yvette we are getting married in st john but staying in st thomas as well. Do you guys think its too outrageous to have the guests, my fiance, and his groomsmen ride over on one boat and for my and my girls to ride over on another boat?

@@SJHitch Hi! Were you able to do a bonfire on the beach for your beach party? Also, did you communicate with Havana Blue planner to arrange the beach party after your dinner or did you deal with marriott planners? Was your beach party at "SandBar"? It all looks awesome and I cant wait to get down there! Did you guys take up the entire havana blue restaurant? Or did you just get a small area? We have 35 guests so far and I want to make sure we all get sat together if I cant rent out the entire space but was told by the marriott planner that i cant make a reservation for that many people. Do you recommend dealing directly with havana blue planners? Also does anyone know if they would allow us to put up our wish lanterns from the beach at either the marriott or at the sandbar in front of havana blue?
