  1. @@June7BeachBride Hi! I saw u mentioned something about a free private event for 16 rooms booked? have u gotten any info on that? Im getting married at Azul beach and thought it was 20 rooms. I would assume that the rules are the same for all the properties? I want to look into this
  2. @@girlinthecity97 why were u against it? I see pros and cons to going v not...
  3. right next to post theres a button that says more reply options. when I hit that the download thingy appears
  4. I have been very lucky with early teething. some Tylenol has always done the trick. at 18months...the molars are coming and wow! is it an experience. My normally sweet, very good natured little girl has turned into a tantrum throwing unconsolable child. Its been a very difficult week for all of us.
  5. I work 40hours a week at a dog kennel & grooming. About 10 hours a week coaching cheerleading. 4-5 hours a week waitressing at a local pub. I have an 18mo old daughter. On top of all this my wedding is less than 90 days away. To say I am busy...is an understatement
  6. I am 31 and not married yet. My FI and I decided to have a baby first because I refuse to get pregnant after 35...that's my cut off. We discussed it and looking at the time frame...I will be 32 when were married...and assuming I get pregnant right away... I would be 33 for the first. I would def need some time to adjust and not jump right into baby 2...so who knows. If we waited I may not want to have a 2nd. Honestly...the decision for baby first was best for us. Plus we have the added bonus of sharing the day with her. Also, I am def ready to have another after the wedding...so everything worked out.
  7. im lucky that I have a job that allows me lots of computer time.
  8. ive been with my FI 5 years. at the time of proposal 4. and he was a total wreck the day of the proposal...even tho he knew it was a sure thing
  9. ive worked in restaurants forever... I think the worst proposal I ever saw was when the ring came out on the desert plate. Even the woman seemed not impressed. Just plain poor planning
  10. I was also pregnant at the time. I am a cheerleading coach and we were at the Cupid cheer challenge competition. I (as always) was a nervous wreck waiting for awards. The song single ladies came on and my fiancé approached me. (backstory to single ladies- the year b4 at another comp my cheerleaders went to my FI and danced around him to the song) Anyway...he got down on one knee in front of the crowd and proposed. It was awesome. Cheerleading is one of my great loves. so to be proposed to at an event & win 1st place moments later... it was def a memorable moment.
  11. I am so jealous of anyone who can afford Del Sol. Everything ive seen by them is flawless
  12. how come you opted not to do the website? I thought it made it so much easier than worrying about wording or inserts with STD and invites. Plus...if details change its so much easier to change it on the website. Our vacation itinerary is on there...some extra activities we plan to do. Our registry. I have a small but very demanding group of ppl coming to the wedding. instead of individually telling everyone our plans its outlined for them on the site and they can chose to join or do their own thing.
  13. I am getting married april 12 in cancun. originally we wanted to get married in may but a bridesmaid put up a fuss so we changed. anyway, we are planning on a small church wedding for family that couldn't make it to mexico & we hope to do it in may...so that's about a month after we get home. Not sure about an AHR. I refuse to spend a lot of money after the destination. Several ppl let us down when it came to mexico...soooo I don't feel like I should spend a lot putting together a reception. after wedding the next milestone is to buy a house. Im not trying to put myself in debt 2 feed ppl. Will prob just do some kind of backyard BBQ.
  14. I am in the same boat. Part of me really wants the video. Its a keepsake that I would like my daughter to see when she's older. but....then theres the budget. my resort also has an extravagant outside vendor fee & the approved video ppl are over priced and the work prob not so good. Soooo I dunno at this point. Like girl in the city said her friends regretted... I may also regret it.
  15. OK...details please! I love mac at home and I was hoping to get my makeup done at a mac in mexico! Did you go to Norma in a Mac store or did she go to you? Did she do your hair and makeup? I am so excited that I found this thread! Also...is she coming to your resort? Does anyone else have outside vendor fees? Mine are crazy-$800!!!
  16. Congrats to dreams brides. I am not getting married there however I was a bridesmaid in a wedding there. It was beautiful. If it weren't for already having attended a wedding there it would have been my first choice.
  17. I know I mentioned this in another post about the karisma packages not working...but my coordinator also said that its much cheaper to design on your own anyway. I think its like $3000 just to decorate for the ceremony- that's a waste. The ceremony at most is 30minutes!
  18. @ Tammy Host Yes im getting married at Azul however none of the pre-set options work for me. My theme is peacock @girlinthecity I wish I had had the opportunity to do the dress rehearsal. I guess it will be a nice surprise when I get there
  19. I kept it simple bc I did magnets n everything had to fit on one side. in addition to what u said u already have...I just said additional info can be found at: and included my wedding website address
  20. I used etsy for my invitations. I had an idea in mind, drew it and sent it to an artist- Whirlibird. That shop then converted my drawing into a digital file that I was able to DL at home and print at staples. Saved a ton of money and is unique bc I designed it the artist did a great job. only complaint is the slow response time.
  21. Wow... It is good to know that someone out there was in the same boat. Most stuff I come across on here sounds so amazing and everyone is so happy. I should be so excited! In the type that ha dreamed about my wedding my whole life... But lately it's been more like crying about it. Just today a couple ppl backed out. One decided she couldn't afford it bc the price was higher than I said (she booked last min and lost the group rate) the other is going to court for DUI. Because of the one dropping out the girl she's rooming with will most likely do he same. I feel lost. Like the dream is slipping away. Now im debating... What's the point of a dj? We're down 2 about 20 ppl. Only a handful are dancers. Do I still pay the extra money for a private reception or save n just do the dinner reservation included in the wedding package? That would also save us the money on centerpieces, decor, etc. I just don't know what to do. All rooms are supposed to be paid off by the end of the month. I have a feeling more drop outs are coming
