  1. I'm using the one offered by destiantionweddings.com
  2. If your guest is staying at Playacar Palace, you will not need to pay the resort the vendor fee.
  3. Just want to bump this thread. I was told by my wedding specialist at destiantionweddings.com that the group pricing would generally be cheaper than online rates. It doesn't make sense for the hotel to charge more for group if we're booking a bunch of their rooms...
  4. I'm diggin bright green arrangements at the moment but these are all beautiful~
  5. Hello Tammy- I have sent a message to TA Wendy. I picked PDC because it has that nice calm white beach but any similar beach is okay too. My fav. beach is actually Maroma but my options are limited there. Thank you. KK2013- Thank you for your comments. I LOVED Paradisus but I just don't think I can afford their wedding package. They're asking $150 per additional guest on top of the $15,000 wedding. It just sounds crazy to me. But, you're right, the resort looks amazing. I'll probably stay there in the near future but not for the wedding.
  6. Hi Everyone! Does anyone have suggestions for resorts in PDC that fits the below criteria? We've been searching for weeks but not having any luck. We're now considering Paradisus La Esmeralda (expensive wedding) and Playacar Palace (no disco). -Disco/Night Club on site that opens until 1am or later (not a lounge with piano music) -Nice calm beach (little rocks/seaweed) -Family friendly but not dominated by kids (will have a few kids attending, maybe 3 or 4) -modern/newer feel -all-inclusive -in-room wifi, jacuzzi suites, swim-out rooms a PLUS++ Am I being too picky? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  7. Hello~ I'm debating between Paradisus and Playacar Palace. Is Playacar Palace really quiet at night? No music/lounge area to hang out after midnight? I know it's 5 minutes from 5th Avenue but I don't think my party wants to leave the comfortable/all-inclusive confines of the resort to night clubs. Any suggestions would be awesome!
  8. Hello TeamArceo- I'm also considering Playacar Palace. I've been hearing that it's quiet at night but it's walking distance to 5th avenue. BUT, last time we were at a wedding near 5th avenue, although we were super close, who wants to pay extra to drink/party OUTSIDE the resort? I'm also considering Paradisus but it's also expensive. Let us know which one you end up choosing! Good luck~
  9. I'm loving the Paradisus! Does anyone have any wedding package prices besides what's posted on their website? Is it really $100-$120 per additional guest after 40 for the full reception? I'm looking for a family friendly resort that has a nice seaweed/rock-free beach in the PDC area (calm beach) that has a disco/nightclub with DJs and dancefloor (not just a lounge or lobby with piano music). Is Paradisus what I'm looking for? Any other suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
