I hope they go over well!

I'm going to try to do one long table and have open seating. No muss, no fuss.

Is anyone planning on using a photo sharing app? Wedding Party or WeddingPics are a couple of options... Just wonder if anyone has any first hand experience using an app for photo's and how it worked out!

I have read it can take up to six months. That's why my FI and I decided to go with symbolic cermony.

I love the idea of door hangers, but wondering how practical they are. Do guests really use them / appreciate them? I think I'd rather spend the $$ some where else! But I'm torn b/c they are sooooo adorable.

Hey Maggie! There is sooooo much information and planning involved. It's pretty overwhelming. I think if I was you, I'd decide between Plan A and Plan B and then pick a spot from there. Once you figure out WHAT you want, you can figure out where and work out the rest of the details.

I'm not exactly in this situation, but close. I asked my two besties a year ago (right after getting engaged) to stand up with me. A year later, I feel the relationship is strained with one of them. We're not as close. She just got engaged and I "officially" found out about it on FaceBook. (It's a little more complicated than that). Ugh. It sucks. Can you have two MOH's?

We're going old school and not seeing each other before the ceremony. I even moved the ceremony up earlier in the day at my photographers request, so we'd have enough time for pictures. I so love the idea of the first time he sees me on the day is walking down the aisle. And FI actually feels really strongly about it too. He was the one who demanded no first look. I think it's really romantic.

I think your plan sounds really nice. AND, it's your wedding so whatever you want GOES!! We're doing a court house wedding before the DW just for legality and convenience. Getting married in the DR is a ton of work and involves translating documents and a lot of fees. Not to mention having to get a judge come to the resort to do the ceremony. Just too many logistics and things that could go wrong. We're not telling anyone that the DR isn't legal. To US that's the ceremony we'll celebrate and consider the begining of our marriage. We are having an AHR a few months after we get back tho, once we get into spring/summer so we can be outside!

YAY! Thanks so much for everyone's feedback. I feel better about not bothing with invites. My TA keeps telling me they are not necessary and DW are low stress and casual. Hopefully I can start listening to her soon! hehe.

I just booked Pastor Rick York. My photog recommended him to me in order to avoid the spanish language with WC translating in English. Plus, I've heard excellent thing about him and THANKFULLY the resort doesn't charge a day pass or vendor fee for him to come on the property.

I REALLY want to do this, but gotta see how the budget comes out first. Our brilliant photog is like $900 for the TTD session. I need my headcount and wedding estimate before I book that. *sigh* Very much hoping to do it though!

I actually 100% agree with Jackshayne0123! My FI and I are going to spend the night before our wedding apart. We're not doing a 1st look, and he'll see me for the first time as I walk down the aisle. I think it's kind of romantic. I'm also planning on the somthing old, something new, etc... it's just fun. Who wasn't thinking about that stuff as a little girl? hehe.
