I would think they have to honor then packet they sent you, as long as you still have the email with it when they sent it to you.

I don't have pictures of it, but I wish I did! If you happen to get any, would you mind sharing them?
Apparently the hotel has a bar, the Zky Bar which is open until 1 am. I believe they have dancing and stuff. There are also apparently a few clubs in Playa that are fun. it's 10 minutes away and I think someone said about a $12 cab ride. The hotel can probably arrange a van for you or something in advance. You may want to ask. We're planning on doing the Zky Bar.

@@Lilgabri03 I'm not doing the videography because my cousin is doing that part, but their video package is $3000. Videos are a lot apparently!!

So out of curiosity, how much did everyone pay for photo/video services? Personally, I got 6 hours photo, 5 hours video and a cenote trash the dress session. I see ocatvious prices, but they dont really look all that much cheaper so I am curious what was the total package cost including outside vendor fee?
I booked Photos in Cancun (www.photosincancun.com). They are really responsive and speak great english which makes me feel better. They're $2500 for 2 photographers + an assistant. They also give me a flash drive with all of the pictures after the event which is awesome. I've heard a lot of photographers take forever to send you your pictures. They also allow free access to all pictures so anyone can print them, share them on social media, whatever. They've been really nice and they discounted their fee to $2100 so I only have to pay $400 of the outside vendor fee. They added 3 hours of photography for the rehearsal dinner as well which is awesome. I'm just getting a day pass for that and he just happens to have a camera handy. Haha. Their package is usually 8 hours of photography day of wedding, but he also upped it to 10 hours for me at no additional cost. I highly recommend him. I read a lot of reviews online about him and they were all awesome. I literally couldn't find one bad review.

@@kmk2016 - yep, all chairs are included with the package, which is so nice. I just about flipped when I saw the cost of one chair!! I wish their default chair was the chivari chairs, but oh well.
-
@AallieH I had no idea those come flat! I am definitely ordering some and taking them down there then. That's awesome. Thank you!!!!
-
@@TinkerSofi I'm not having to pay anything for white chairs for the ceremony or reception. They're included all 120 of my chairs at no additional cost. Just FYI. Not sure why you're having to pay.

Thanks @@AllieH! I appreciate the pics. I love your wedding! Beautiful! I love love love the hanging lanterns. I want to do those, but they're so expensive. Thanks for the tips on the POC! I appreciate it!

Hello! I am trying to find out what the tables and chairs look like for the basic set-up for the reception. Are the chairs just the basic white garden chairs that fold up? I'm trying to decide if I need to order bows for them. Any brides who got married at an Azul property previously, please help. Thanks!
-
I still have to pick my food too! I'm now at 125 people!! I didn't realize so many people want to come to a destination wedding! Question for you all - who are you using as photographers? Are you bringing your own or hiring someone there? Thanks!
-
Are you all doing a memorable moments package? If you're not, are you doing any special linens, napkins, etc? I'm curious what the basic set up looks like. Thanks!

I think that's really rude of her! It puts you in a very awkward position. If you're like me, normally you wouldn't care, but since she didn't ask you BEFORE she invited them, that's really inconsiderate. Then it's just tricky because you don't want to be the mean bride who won't allow them to the wedding events because you don't want to have to pay for additional people you don't know, but then it looks bad. Just a bad situation to be put in. I'd definitely be upset with my friend if they did that. I hope it works out!

I haven't gotten the pics of the garden/pool area yet, but I really want to see some because I don't know what it looks like!!
I remember reading about a girl who had her flowers delivered and her fiancée met them at the gate. The flowers from Lomas are ridiculously expensive, but I'm just doing flowers on half of the tables instead of all of them. I just don't want to have to worry about getting flowers that day b/c I know I'm going to be so stressed out. Eek!

Hi! Would you mind sending me pictures of the photos you have of the garden/pool area? I'm thinking about doing our reception there, but I haven't been able to see any pictures. Thank you!!! My email is khmciver@@gmail.com. Thanks again!
@lilgabri03 Would you mind emailing me the chain of emails between you and the GM? I'd really appreciate it. The email is khmciver@@gmail.com. Thanks so much!!
@@KScheer - I didn't put your name. My bad. Do you mind emailing me your pics of the garden/pool area for the reception? I'm thinking I'm going to do that space too, but I haven't seen many pictures. Thanks!
@@Lilgabri03 - Never mind about emailing the GM email. I'm an idiot and just saw you posted it already. I totally missed it.
I think we're doing half of our tables with flower centerpieces surrounded by some votives, then the other tables with hurricanes surrounded by rose petals. I'm also bringing my own sheers for the gazebo, my own table runners and my own chair sashes. The resort charges you an arm and a leg for so much of it!
As for our room block, we did the biggest chunk of rooms as the deluxe room and, of course, most people are booking suites! Typical.
How many people are you all expecting for your weddings?
Lastly, if anyone has seen any recent reviews with pictures, can you let me know? I haven't seen any lately.

So pretty! Thank you for posting these! Can't wait to read the review and see more pics!! Congratulations!

Hi girls! Do any of you recently married folks have any pictures from your wedding at Azul Fives? I'm dying to see some real pictures. I'm sort of at a hiatus with the planning because I'm not certain how many people are coming so I can't do much else until I know that. Hope everyone's planning is going well!

Has anyone had any updates lately? I am beyond frustrated with this hotel. I've been waiting for 3 weeks now to hear what the various venue options are and what their capacity is. Literally 3 weeks. They write me back about other things...just not that. Its' really hard to plan a freaking wedding at their resort when they won't tell me my options!! UGH!!!!
-
Was Carol your wedding coordinator? My travel agent told me she left. She isn't my WC. I have Lucy who I have never heard from since she became my new wedding coordinator last week. I hope you get everything figured out! Good luck! Just breathe. It will all work out.

I need help. I saw a key card holder with Spanish phrases on here once and I can't find it anywhere now. Does anyone have a template of one? Thanks!!
-
@@Lilgabri03 - yes they were per centerpiece and per bridesmaid. Ridiculous. I wrote my wedding coordinator back questioning the cost and have yet to hear from her. Not surprising.

Here's what she quoted me:
Bridesmaid - tropical with roses light pink - $150
Bridesmaid - large tropical bouquet with roses, white hydrangeas, touches of green - $250
Centerpiece - Large centerpiece with white hydrangeas, white roses, pink roses and green - $400 (Same look replaced white carnations for white hydrangeas - $275)
Smaller version - with white hydrangea - $200 (replacing it with carnations - $125)
Small centerpiece - mini pink roses, pink roses, white hydrangeas, touch of green $250 (replacing white hydrangeas for white carnations - $125)
Let me know what she quotes you. Thanks!

So I've been talking to my wedding coordinator about bridesmaid bouquets and centerpieces. Are y'all having to pay a small fortune for these items? It is INSANE how much they're charging. I wanted to do roses and hydrangeas, but it seems like maybe that won't work after all. Sadness.
What have y'all done and what did they charge you? Thanks!

They have a few options. Look at this website and you'll see them. http://www.weddingsbylomastravel.com/hotels/Azul-Fives/locations
They apparently do keep an indoor location on reserve just in case it does rain.
Sheers & Table Linens
in Destination Wedding in Riviera Maya, Cancun & surrounding areas

Hi everyone! Does anyone have a website they can recommend where they got their sheers for the gazebo or table linens? I am thinking I want to bring my own now since theirs are so expensive. Also, does anyone know what size to get? Thanks in advance!
