  1. @@yasminea84 I believe it was about $2500 because I think I rented everything she had. Haha!
  2. @@SteeleTheSpotlight I got so lucky!!! All 10 suitcases made it! I did take a fake excel spreadsheet with made up prices. Ha! But I got the green light and just kept walking. They didn't even look. I won't lie. I was so nervous!!! But I think they really don't care bc they know there are so many weddings.
  3. @@Teg07 Thanks!! It really was such a great wedding!!! I got my make-up done at the hotel. Flor did my make-up. I did do a trial with her, which I highly suggest. Their make up artists were really good and I'm super high maintenance about my make-up. They did my bridesmaids make-up too. Well most of them. I'd recommend them though! I did get my flowers from Lomas. I probably could have bought a very nice car with what I paid for all of my flowers. I would totally do silk flowers. No one would notice the difference!!
  4. I just want to say enjoy your wedding planning! I miss it so much. Our wedding at Azul Fives was PERFECT! You all will love it. I posted a link to the pics in case anyone is new and wants to see pictures from a wedding there. Have fun! And if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask. I'm happy to answer them!! https://www.facebook.com/khmciver/media_set?set=a.10100809953124424.1073741834.18310150&type=3
  5. You can get married on the pier! I don't know the cost, but I know they have weddings out there.
  6. Everyone used them. They loved them. They were so nice to have. And everyone used the tote bags too. And the medicines. Of course.
  7. @@kjb123 Haha! I'm such an idiot. We did them when we left the reception for our "exit". Loved it!!
  8. @@LisaAnthonyPoppy Yep, the Azul fives is a hotel but it's smaller than most. It only had about 300 rooms. It was great though. Good luck with your wedding and congrats!!!
  9. @@LisaAnthonyPoppy Thank you!! It was really pretty. It sort of became a picture background like prom! Haha! I loved it. It was super easy to do. They put up that pipe and drape, then a white sheet over that and then the lights which were just christmas lights and then the lace. I was so happy I was able to do it.
  10. The song is All This Time by One Republic. It's one of my favorite songs and the song I walked down the aisle to.
  11. @@LisaAnthonyPoppy I gave them the strands of lights and the fabric and lights for my light wall. Told them my vision and they Executed it perfectly
  12. I just got my wedding video back from our videographer (Photos In Cancun - they also did our photography) and it is simply amazing!! I told him I wanted to do a short highlight reel of our wedding and focus on me and my hubby. He did just that and it's absolutely perfect. If you're looking for a videographer and/or photographer, I highly recommend Derek Campbell. He and Lorena are awesome to work with and they are also really fun. Their videographer was Fernando and he did a great job. Derek edited it and pieced it together with the music. Words cannot describe how much I love our video and our photos. I also posted a link to an album he did for our photos on his Facebook page. Love them!! 13. @ - you're welcome!! It was so annoying when the brides would just disappear!!
  14. So I've had a bunch of girls from this site ask me how much I paid for my lights at my reception because everyone's hotels are charging them so much. I found a girl in Playa who has a TON of decorations and you can actually rent them from her. I rented all of my decorations from her because it saved me so much money. For example, the hotel wanted to charge me $200 per strand for those bulb lights to hang above the dance floor. She charged me $15. Since I was saving so much money through her, I rented almost everything from her for the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, cocktail party and reception. Her Facebook page is Love & Lace Wedding Decor. The profile picture looks like a white logo with purple writing. Everything she rents out is on her facebook page with pricing. She was so easy to work with and everything looked beautiful. I met her in town and picked up my decorations so the hotel couldn't charge me a $800 outside vendor fee. Some pics are below. Just wanted to share with you all because I know how much everyone wants to save money! You can contact her on her facebook page or through her and her husband's website. The contact webpage is http://loveandrum.com/contact/ Pictures - some of these are professional and some are just what my friends took, so sorry for the change in quality. For the ceremony, I rented the chair sashes, the mason jars, the bottles hanging from the back of the gazebo and she also did petal rose cone holders for chairs closest to the aisle so the guests could throw rose petals at us when we walked down the aisle after the ceremony. I don't have pictures of the post ceremony cocktail party yet, but I did rent bottles and vases from her for that event. For the reception, I rented everything. She did my light wall (which made some really cool pictures), all of my lighting (bulbs overhead, paper lanterns, pool lining lanterns, lights up the post on the bed), all the decorations for my sweetheart table, entry table, reception tables. For the rehearsal dinner, I kept it simple and just did the centerpieces for the round tables and a long row of bottles/vases for the head table.
