@@GingerJ228 yes! I feel like it's right around the corner! I am probably sending my invitations out early march and asking for a response by May 1st . I think we need to give resort final headcount 1 month before the wedding when we submit our wedding planning sheet. Since everyone bokoed their rooms already I will have a good idea of who is attending so I figure two months to RSVP is more than enough time. I might even try to get it back mid April instead. As for entrees I think when you get there you need to have the table cards deliniated in two different colors for the two entrees you can chooce then you have to give the resort the seating chart and tell them that everyone with pink table cards is one entree and anyone with green table cards is the other entree. The other brides on forum have said it's really simple. That's what I'm planning on doing. Hope this helps.

@@GingerJ228 glad you decided on the beach BBQ! That will be the night of my wedding! Are you doing entertainment at the Beach BBQ or just food and drinks then move to one of the other bars at the resort? I feel like it's crunch time now. Id id alot of stuff during the holidays but now it's time to kick it into high gear!

No bridal party for me and my friends/sister are THRILLED ABOUT IT! they are excited to not have to buy a matching dress and have all the obligations of bridal party. THey have done more for me already anyway to help me with the special day. My best friend from growing up is officiating the ceremony, my sister will give a speech at the wedding and my other two closest friends with do a joint reading during the ceremony. So that is how I am incorporating my family. My dad will walk me down the aisle and we will haev our first dance. My mother and the grooms mother will walk down the aisle during the entrance to be able to get recognized during the special day. It is working out beautifully and when I told some co-workers that were married already they looked and me at said " best idea you could ever have" if I had to do ita gain I wouldn't have had a bridal party! I'm completley content with my decision.

Hi Jenny, I am using an outside florist and meeting them at the front door to avoid any resort fees. I am working with Alina at floreria Rivieria. She is awesome. Her response time is almost immediate, she speaks perfect english and her prices are MUCH cheaper than the resort prices. She's been great to work with so far. I sent her some pics of colors and ideas that I want and she sent me the prices for each of the ideas I sent her. I highly reccomend reaching out to her. For example I bought a bag of rose petals for my aisle runner from her for $20. My resort charges $150 for a bag of rose petals. She can create centerpieces within your budget. Her email address is: [email protected] As for linens/chair sashes/table runners I am buying on tablelinensdirect.com or another one of those websites and bringing them down with me. So much cheaper than the resort. Again the resort wanted $5/chair sash and I am getting for $.43 /sash on tablelinensdirect.com I will just bring them down in my suitcase since they won't take up much room. Hope this helps. Jenna My friend had everyone download an app called Wed Pics. then once they uploaded the photos she could see and print all of them once she got back from her honeymoon. She has hundreds of pictures! I also read on this blog you can set up another website through one of the photo sites ( I'll try to look for it) and guests upload all the photos to a link specifically for your wedding. Everyone will have their own cameras so maybe put a note in the welcome bags saying please upload this app and put your pics on here or please download your photos to xxx website after the wedding? I"ll see if I can find anymore information for you on those photosites. We are having our guests download the Wed Pic app and then downloading all the photos afterwards. I think for the OOT bags we are going to do some sort of mug, cute sunglasses ( $1.00 each at oriental trading) and a welcome note, itinerary and a key holder badge tag with a lanyard for people to take their key and some money in their beach bag to the pool. not sure what else. The glasses we are just doing more for fun and putting a tag on them that says "wear these so you don't get blinded by our love" or something funny like that! I'm not going crazy on the welcome bags though because people won't use alot of the stuff in it and I'd rather spend the $$ on other things. Jenna -check out this link for the photo site. Hi Jenna! I'm getting married June 7th at NOW Sapphire resort. We are confirmed for 82 people! ( I can't believe it!) and most of the big vendors are done ( photographer, DJ, Florist) Like Jackie I still have to do all the small stuff but struggling with what to put in the OOT bags. I have found some AMAZING ideas on this website for the pre wedding communication and the welcome bags just have to start to order stuff and get things firmed up! Jackie- are you doing any music for welcome reception? I can't believe your dress is already in! Mine doesn't come in until April! I def need to go on my wedding diet starting in the year so I can fit in that dress

@@TaraB thanks for the feedback on the lanterns. Are you getting married at beach terrace or tequila terrace? Let me know how it works out with the lanterns ( take a pic and post) and I"ll do the same thing ( order the lanterns and bring them) Also we stayed at secrets silversands ( sister resort of NOW) and my fiance did not wear jeans to dinner. the dress code said no shorts but I think jeans are ok he just didn't wear bc it was so hot out so he stuck to linen pants most nights.

TaraB your day is getting so close! Congrats. I don't know if you can lets omeone else usre hte hair and makeup but i was going to request the same thing. You already paid for it as part of the divine package so hopefully you can negotiate that or at least try to get something else in return for not using those services. I'm getting my hair/make up done by an outside vendor as well so going to try to let my grandma use the spa services that are included in divine package. I think same thing with private transfer but again you would have to confirm with anel/ramon. I mean you are spending so much money with teh resort hoepfully they will be flexible with these things. Let me know also for when I go to try to negotirate the same thing Thanks. Does anyone know if it's worth it to bring my own lanterns to hang for the beach terrace? I know the tequila terrace you can hang a few on the pergola but the beach terrace is open? I know to rent them and have the resort hang it's $1000! I have it in my budget because I just love them and it will be the bulk of the decorations BUT I will buy the lanterns online and bring them with me if it's much cheaper to do it that way. I will email anel also but it takes forever to hear back from her so wasn't sure if someone had already done this and could advise me? Thank you
