    Travel agents help coordinate everything and can have extra knowledge about the location or hotels you are considering. They also can get group rates. You wouldn't have to redo your stds, I'd just advise them via a phone call or email or wedding website to assist with their travel you got a travel agent. But they are under no obligation to use it but its available if here interested. My travel agent advises me when people book too which helps me keep track on who is coming:)

    I'm gonna get some. I figure that ill get the ones that stay for a few weeks instead of peeling off. Since I'm not planning on wearing lots of makeup while relaxing on the beach, I think it will still give me eyes that pop that I want and I won't hate every picture from our wedding moon.

    exactly this! we really wanted the dominican republic but Jamaica was so much easier to get married at. Less stress = happier bride

    Decide if you want to legally or symbolically get married. A lot of foreign countries have a ton of restrictions to get legally married there. A symbolic ceremony opens up a lot more options.

    exactly this. I am not going to force anyone to come. I'd probably be hurt if they started making excuses considering how much I spent attending all of their weddings, but in the end, those who want to be there will be there.

    How did the wedding look? We want to get married on the beach and I am worried since I haven't found anything on these boards about my resort. Its got lots of great reviews on trip advisor, but not much when it comes to weddings.

    Make a list of what you need to accomplish and go from there. I saw a checklist somewhere on this website about what to do in 3 month increments. If I can find it I'll forward it to you.

    I'm wondering the same thing. People know that we're doing a small destination, but are asking about a reception when we get back to celebrate with us. Our wedding is at the end of May.
