I would imagine tropical places like that have the same flowers year round because the weather doesn't fluctuate much. I made my bouquets so I wouldn't have to pay a trillion dollars for them and we can't even take them home to enjoy them in a vase on our dining table :-(

Hi!!! My ceremony is at the Zocalos Gazebo (on the beach near the pier) on October 11th @@Cj1053 Ok That's a big help!!! So if I bring the Christmas lights that plug up they will figure the electrical/ socket out or do I need to get special lights that are battery operated?

Hey Girls!! My ceremony is at 5pm this coming October and sun begins to set a little after 530pm. My reception is at Zavas Plaza from 6-10p. What lighting do they use to illuminate the reception area??? I'm debating whether I want to wrap the posts of the gazebo. Do they use rope lights on the surrounding trees in that area? I have seen pics of that space at night but do t know if the bride opted to have those lights or that was part of the resorts set up.

@@Cj1053 Which photographer did you use? Was going to go with the BBQ option for food but it may be cheaper to do pick and choose. I was scared the plated dishes would be not so good but your review says otherwise!! With the pick and choose, do I have to have each guest tell me which entree they want?

During your meeting did you just tell them what you want and they decorated or did you have pictures? How was the food at the reception? I'm soooo nervous. I'm bringing most of my decorations and I want to take some of them back with me. I want to host a pre-anniversary party next year and stage the beach with our actual decorations. I know I'm asking a ton of questions!! Lol Everytime I hit post, I think of something else!!! For the ceremony, I want my kids to read a poem to their "to-be" Step-dad and also have someone read something in remembrance of my mom and his dad (both deceased). Does the resort limit the time of the ceremony? I have bridesmaids and groomsmen walking down to music, I'm coming down to music, etc. Thank God for you guys!!!! Getting answers from the WC is like contacting the President!!! Lol

Hello Brides, I'm getting married on the beach and having my reception at Zavaz on Oct 11th and was wondering what customs was like as I'm traveling to and from with majority of my decorations. I'm bringing organza for the gazebo, tulle for the chair bows, bouquets I made, decorations for the chairs that line the aisle, centerpiece supplies, favors, fun shades, candles, votives, etc..... Does anyone know what that process will be like? Also, can I take my dress on the plane??

Does any brides, past or planning, know if you can swim at the pool next to Plaza Zavaz during your night reception?? Didn't want my reception super formal plus my family and friends are PARTY ANIMALS (even the old people). I was going to put a note in the welcome bags to bring their swim wear to the reception so after dinner we can dance and party in the pool!!!

I knowwwwww!!! I was sooooo surprised that so many people committed with deposits soooo quickly. What a blessing. I was surprised that they didn't offer more perks for a party so big. They did offer to allow me to have up to three events per day like a lunch, cocktail hour and dinner but that's only for 40 ppl which doesn't help me. Lol I guess I can't complain. Lol. That's why I'm starting now so I'm not overly stressed later. I AM stressed about this dress picking tho. I am fixated on the Mori Lee 5104 but I'm soooooo bad with decisions.

Hello Ladies!!!!! I'm new here but have read the last 2months of thread!! Lol I'm having a 100 guest ceremony at Azul in Oct 2014 and am STRESSED already. I'm making favors, bringing decorations, trying to choose locations, don't want to sweat terribly during the receptions so thinking we should have it inside, hoping the food is good, trying to find a dress..... :eek: Have any of you negotiated upgrades or perks because your party was so large???? HELPPPPPPP!!!! Lol
