a picture of my bouquet (beginning stage). I haven't finished it yet. Still have to add some other details. Going to add some rhinestone brooches, white & Tiffany/light aqua ribbon. Plus going to attach a small charm with a picture of my mom who passed away. Once finished I'll post the final bouquet Our wedding colors are coral and light aqua -
those that made the fake reciepts did you use the templates listed in this post or did you find one that looks like an actual store reciept? I'm worried cuz I have 12 OTT bags that I used a groupon for, but on the reciept it shows the full value not the discount I paid. Plus, I have all 7 of my bouquets that I made... It was $90 to buy all the supplies but I actually only paid $35 out of pocket. (I won a visa gift card, so I used that to buy everything and paid the remainder out of pocket)

Bringing it all to Mexico
misbosox replied to BridetobeABCD's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
so question.... do I have to declare and show receipts of my handmade faux flowers and table/chair decor? They are not gifts... I understand I have to declare any gifts I bring: OOT bags and favors, etc. Cuz I already know if I have to declare everything including my decor its going to be over $300. Should I only bring reciepts for the gifts and favors... and just give estimate if they ask on the decor. Cuz most of my decor and my flowers I really only paid almost nothing for out of pocket, due to won/ or given gift cards. But on the reciept it shows total $ with gc. I have my bouquet + 6 small BM bouquets gel beads for the centerpieces 8 chair starfish decor items 12 OTT bags for wedding party 60 maracas favors Bride & Groom wedding chair signs Photo Guest Book Cake Topper might be also bringing 6 table runners and napkins -
Just wondering if any past brides booked their rooms through a Flex group rate? It's not a contact group rate that is one rate for all guests, but flexible?? We are having our wedding at Moon Palace. We are trying to figure out options for booking. We have group room block rates quoted. Someone mentioned about instead of blocking you can do a second option called Flex booking. It's where you book at the current rate and get a discount from that. So each guest could be paying a different rate??? Bride and groom don't get free nights, but you still qualify for wedding group perks like unlimited events, bride and groom get $50 back per each room booked and resort credits. Has anyone heard of this? If it's going to save $ for our guests great, but I'm worried we won't qualify for group wedding benefits. We really need the free unlimited event perk.

@@Britt - hope you had a wonderful wedding week! Would love to see photos on what Zuniga did as well. My email is [email protected] if you don't mind sending them... Loved your ideas from your past planning journal. Just a few questions: Our wedding is also at 4pm and we are having about the same amount of guest (60 total). Did you have your cocktail hour and reception in the same location at Caribbean Terrace? Trying to figure out if we have both in same area or do we have cocktail in one spot and reception at another. Did you end up doing the ipod/speakers? Was it enough time for dancing Any tips of things would change or must do?

question regarding the complimentrary honeymoon package. when you signed your wedding contract was it worded in there? Or is this something that gets added later when you are booking your rooms? I ask because on-line it states all packages come with the complimentary honeymoon package, but looking at my contract it doesn't state it or the items that are included with it the honeymoon pkg....

Thanks everyone for the responses... so I've been playing with a template I found on here thanks to all you great ladies! For somereason my Word/Paint won't let me put a picture in the background of wording so I'm figuring I'm gonna have to print the passes out with some of the design I want first... then reprint on the same paper with the wording layout . Or use a stamp of starfish instead...... Gonna just play with it and see if it works....

so we picked it and put our deposit today! We are going with Moon Palace. we looked back at what we and our friends paid to go to a recent wedding at Azul Beach this past fall. It was only about $50-150 cheaper per person for Azul....but that was low season! Our wedding is in June which is second-third from low season... Plus there is so much more to do at the resort. So since everyone that went in the fall will be there for ours we figured we will have no issues with that group...Just now have to see how everyone else will book.... Also, ladies defiantly shop around with multiple travel agents. I found one actually the next town from me... she was able to get same deal as the others and palace + plus for every 10 guests booked we can get an additional $25 back + plus airline credit $500. hanae, Moon's rate are little higher, but its a much larger resort (almost two-four resorts in one) plus it offers larger incentives for group bookings. Our biggest choice was the amount of guests included in packages, group incentives and things to do at the resort. The other resort we looked at that had better/cheaper room rates for our guests was NOW resorts. They may have a wedding package or what you maybe looking for. Other options is to have your wedding very late August - thru - October. That is low season when rates are cheapest. It just wouldn't work for us since my daughter was in school and we want her part of it..

we actually first went through a travel agent that I did find through this site. However, the prices the TA quoted us were only $15-20 cheaper than the resort. plus the TA quotes did not include transfers to-from hotel. So in the end the hotel directly was a tiny bit cheaper. Not sure if I should keep shopping around with other travel agencies...

we are hoping to get married June 2015. we already know we are going to have at least 48 guests, possibly 67 total. We loved Azul Sensatori or Azul Fives, but looking on-line even with 30% off group rates it seems little high priced for our guests. I have written karisma multiple times to get room block rates quote for June 2015. However, they never send me the info. Instead they send me info on their wedding packages... So we then looked into Moon Palace. It has everything we want. Great rooms, food, activities and group/wedding incentives. BUT the room quotes they gave us are too high for our guests. We really need a nice resort that can offer similar to Palace or Azul that accommodates large wedding groups with out hurting our bank accounts or our guests bank accounts. Does anyone have suggestions: - would prefer 5 star - 4 star resort - need family friendly (we have two pre-teens and two teenager guests) - all-inclusive with great food, drinks, nightlife (bars/dance club) and teen club area - wedding packages that include cake/cocktail/ reception for at least 30-40 guests. (after that we know we will have to pay) - great rooms, with great prices.... hoping to get double room below $200/ nt per guest (including transportation) If it was $200-300 a night per room with double occupancy then that would have been great. But per their request its per person; not per room! My friends are already giving us a hard time about this since they looked on line and can get the same resort/ same rooms for per room price cheaper. - guest incentives - earn resort credits, maybe kids free or 1/2 price - possible wedding incentives - bride/groom free room, upgrade, possible free event, etc - able to give out multiple non-resort day passes to wedding. (this is big problem right now, Palace only limits to 20% of your guest count. So if we have 50 guests we can only get 6 day passes for those not booked there ---not good if too many book at another resort)

I'm in the same boat...stressing right now. this is what we were just quoted (incudes transfers) for April, 2015- Aug 2015 Our problem is we have to get married in late June or early August. Some of my family can't travel until then due to kids in school and my fiancé can't get time off in July. SGL DBL TPL CHLD superior deluxe garden view 382 211 165 58 superior deluxe ocean view 408 224 178 58 concierge level 458 249 our problem is there are cheaper resorts, but we are having about 60+ guests. So far we have 48 that have confirmed they are going... we were hoping that we would get a good rate so everyone will want to book thru our group booking so we could qualify for free unlimited events. Now seeing these prices I'm freaking out! Every place else that has cheaper rates only include a small amount of guests in their wedding packages. Once you add up the cost for each person over that it jumps drastically. we are on such a tight budget. with these prices I doubt most of my guests will book through our group link. About 12-14 of our guests work in the travel/airline industry which we typically can get a deep discounted travel employee rate. So I'm pretty sure they all won't book through our group.. plus my cousin who is a brides maid I already know will be complaining about it and probably stay off site. That's another problem they only allow you 20% non-resort guest day pass of your wedding guest total. So if we have 50 wedding guests we can only give out 6 non-resort guest passes. Does anyone know if Beach Palace, Hard Rock Riviera Maya is cheaper around that time in June? We love what palace/HR offer just wish pricing was little better or at least just under $200/ night per double.. I know Azul was offering a similar deal this year for so many rooms booked, but for the dates we need and the fact we are having two teens ages 15-16 and two pre-teens age 12yrs old their prices were even higher...

we are currently in the process on booking the Moon Palace. However, we originally wanted what is now Hard Rock Riviera Maya. when we first inquired about it we were told they would be closed 2014-2015 due to construction in changing the brand. Now I have seen on this site and others that some have 2014 weddings there. I have tried to call the wedding and group department numbers on their site, but only get an answering machine. We have also tried to fill out the request form, but I don't think it goes through. Each time we hit enter it just defaults back to the request page. It never says it went through and no returned calls.. Does anyone have another number or email to contact their wedding sales department and group sales department? We know their packages are very similar or exact to Palace, but does anyone have any other info they can share: wedding locations, cocktail/reception locations, food choices, vendors, extra fees our biggest deciding factor is group rate for June 2015. If they are less than Moon, we'd rather go with HR any help appreciated!

okay thanks... are they really slow on getting stuff back to you. Lula Muniz contacted me last week. Has anyone worked with her?? I had already sent her the wedding request form and some questions. She had called back answered some questions. She said that later that day she was going to email/send more info and also group pricing. Its been a week still haven't received anything.

We are getting married at Moon Palace in June 2015 Just looking for input/ suggestions from past brides 1. In June, what would be the best time to have ceremony? How long for pictures? Also, how many hours in advance before wedding should we get our hair/makeup done? 2. With the complimentary wedding do the give you an iPod Dock/speaker setup to play music during ceremony ? 3. We are looking at 40-67 guests... any suggestions on cocktail hour and reception locations? I know some locations charge an extra $12 per person for setup fee. Is there any that would fit us that does not charge the fee? 4. For that many guests how much cake do we need? What's your favorite flavor? 5. Also any recommendations on which cocktail food choices and buffets would you suggest ? Also, do they let you have your own signature drinks? 6. Any reviews on Moon's DJ? Dancing is a must!! Or is it better to rent iPod Dock/speakers? 7. We are planning on having a welcome dinner or welcome cocktail party? Any suggestions on where and what time? 8. Do we need a rehearsal? 10. For the reception we might buy one of the collections, but if we don't can we rent one or two pieces from a collection? I seen the Zuniga catalog and even their prices are high. We might use the resort photographer for wedding. We would like to do a TTD session. Would that take place on site at the resort or off site? Trying to avoid outside vendor fees. Any suggestions of local photographers and pricing/packages for TTD

I have been working with a travel agent for group room blocks and finally got in contact by Palace Resorts. Has anyone worked with Lula Muniz from Palace Resorts? Thoughts or insight on how things worked out with her? I was expecting to hear from someone in their MIA office since I read on here that you get assigned with their agents and don't work with the actual coordinatiors in Mexico until your there. When she called it was a MX phone number.

Where To Buy Custom Koozies
misbosox replied to misbosox's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
It looks like totallyweddingkoozies.com is best. they include a free bride and groom koozie then second best pricing is discountfavors.com vista print - would be only good if you had a 50% off coupon or groupon deal plus check online sometimes you can find coupon codes for these sites to bring the price down even more. -
for those that made Boarding Pass invitations. how many invites did you make? and how much did it cost you to make them? We will need about 25-35 invitations.. I'm trying to see if its worth making them ourselves or if I can find someone on etsy or other to make them. If its only going to cost a little more money on etsy then I might have them do it since I don't have much down time. also those who have made them, where did you get your background pictures used for them? Thanks..
