  1. From the album: My Dress & Bridesmaids Dress, plus accessories

This is the model picture from their website. Here it's in champagne. However they do sell it in ivory and white. I purchased the ivory.
  2. @@HoyaBeth... we have same exact colors! except I have some light aqua mixed in. Where did you find your menu cards from? I've been looking for something similar and having no luck. Really want to have the coral/aqua star fish with gold chevron or gold dots on the top or bottom.
  3. @shellsal oh no that's not good. Sorry to hear that........what happened? who was your coordinator?
  4. it use to be $800 but in either june-july they changed the policy to be only $400 for video/photographer vendors. All other types of vendors are still $800. The packet that was sent to me back last year around December - January stated that photography package A included: 36 pictures 4x6" and one 6x8" picture and album. did you save all your emails from them? That's what I did. I have everything saved that way if there is a dispute later I can show what they originally told me.
  5. This is our custom made cake topper from "Sugar Bee Etching" from Etsy. It originally came in black with wording - you & me married by the sea. We had them change it to our last name and added gold glitter.
  6. From the album: My Moon Palace Wedding Decor Purchases

Another item I won off Instagram Gold Sequin Table Runner - from Koyal Wholesale. I plan on using this on our cake/guest book table!
  7. From the album: My Moon Palace Wedding Decor Purchases

With Instragram I have won a few items for our wedding! I highly suggest other brides follow sites like "Something Turquoise" - they post some of the cutest etsy sites for weddings and work with those shops for contests... I won 5 of these custom bags for my bridesmaids from Almquist Design Studio. I am getting the bottom right ones but with coral instead of pink. so, excited going to purchase an extra one for myself!!!
  8. From the album: My Moon Palace Wedding Decor Purchases

Made by: Sugar Bee Etching found this etsy shop on instagram. they also have a facebook page as well. Originally it showed online in black with the wording "You & Me Married by the Sea" They will customize it any way you like. We had them change the wording to our last name and add the gold glitter..
  9. @NatCarVas pricing is quoted at the time you booked it. So, compared to last years bookings at that time and if current year occupancy is low still then Palace might lower rates to get more guests. The less rooms available, they will up the rate higher since there is a higher demand. Too many rooms un-booked, they will lower the rates. Airlines work like this as well. Its kind of like the stock market. Through the year the resort directly may offer specials, but those don't apply to group rates. When you booked it was a quoted rate based on occupancy at the time. Usually these are contracted and can't be changed. Did you do your room block with the resort directly or through a travel agent? Sometimes, TA are able to get the resort to wiggle on the price difference, but not always. Doesn't hurt to ask. Also, double check on the rates on line. More often I see guests state they see lower rates that includes everything. However, usually they are mistaken and does not actually include the transportation...
  10. From the album: My DIY items

This is going to be our wedding logo that we will use on our centerpieces. Also, maybe using these for OTT bags and other items.. I made this playing with excel and word...
  11. @@shan0487 @@LydiaButterfly @smilenstacy - we are thinking of having our reception at the terrace on Moon Grand Pool. Do you think there is enough lighting there or should we rent the hanging lights? If so, how many should be enough? Also should we do wrap around lights for the palm trees or do those have plenty of lighting? Not sure if we should do cocktail at Tucan garden and reception at Grand Pool Terrace. Do you think they are too far away from one another?? any other suggestions for cocktail hour? we thought about just doing Tucan garden and tucan terrace for reception, but afraid if we have large turnout wont be big enough Just, like the idea of the pool area being little more quite and private after 6 pm.. Also @@shan0487 - for your blumebox centerpieces did you decorate them prior to arriving to the resort or once you arrived? we are probably using them and not sure when to decorate them...

  13. thanks ladies, I might just buy another cheap dress for it. I doubt my actual dress will dry by then.
  14. Question for those that did the trash the dress photo sessions. How long did it take for your dress to dry? we are getting married on a Tuesday and were thinking of doing a trash the dress session either the day after or Thursday. We are going to do pictures on beach in the sand and partial in ocean/pool. I know I can hang dry it and also have the resort dry clean it. Just worried it won't be dry or ready since we depart on Friday afternoon. Do you think a day or two is enough time for my dress to be cleaned or should I use another dress? I do have another wedding dress that is very light weight, typical destination dress. However, its from my previous marriage. I just never was able to re-sell it. I really wouldn't care if that one got ruined or even left behind. I just feel really weird using it for this. What do you all recommend?
  15. From the album: My DIY items

Got these frames for free using a $10 coupon. Just painted them in our wedding colors. Found this cute White Sea Horse at Michaels - spray painted it coral. Starfish and signs sponge painted in mint blue
  16. Was wondering the same thing.. I also heard that the salon at Moon Palace just started using airbrush makeup. Looking for reviews on both what type of regular makeup they use and on their airbush makeup... on tight budget so prob gonna have to use my resort credits for the salon
  17. @@mspellman1 We are getting married there two days before you on June 23!!! Maybe we will run into one another We are getting married at the Tucan Gazebo. Then we are doing the Tucan Garden or Tucan Terrace for cocktail party. Depending on the size of our wedding group we may either have the reception at that terrace or if we have too many people may move it to a terrace on the Grand side. The only rooftop location is at the Caribbeano Restaurant. However, they charge you an extra fee per person for that.
  18. Has anyone used this website or others like it? Phoebebridal.com there is a stella York dress I absolutely love... in most stores its about $1500. On this site it says they will custom make it for $258
  19. @Dreamteam17 it was much cheaper to do my self. I purchased the small already made bouquets from either Michaels or hobby lobby. they had different colors each had about 4-5 flowers in them. I used clippers to open up the seal holding them, then purchased and added other color flowers I liked to make them bigger and to the colors I liked. wrapped in floral green tape, then glue gunned my ribbon around the green tape to cover it up and seal again. I had received a gift card from my electric company for being good customer, watched for sales and clipped coupons. After, all that my only out of pocket expense was about $60. that was for my bouquet and 7 small bouquets. with out the discounts I probably would have paid about $130-160 it is somewhat time consuming.. if you shop on etsy you can sometimes find great deals on there too. they will customize it exactly how you want. Even if you find one that states its for a package of 10; you can email them and ask if they can make it smaller package or just one or two items.. another idea, bouquet for you, and single flowers for bridesmaids...
  20. at first I thought the same thing... I've done tons of window shopping around. my bridesmaids dresses are coral.. our décor is mix of white, coral and mint/light aqua blue. I made my own bouquets. I found a tiny small one at either Michaels or Hobby Lobby (just in floral section not in wedding section). I opened the wrapping up and added other color flowers I liked. for floral try Michaels, Hobby Lobby and Jo-Ann Fabrics (that is where I found mint flowers). If you go to my gallery you can see a pic of my flowers I made. for table /chair linens try tablelinendirect.com they have tons of options and great prices. another thing I did was purchased a small color swatch of the coral and blue I wanted from Davids Bridal. I think they were about $1-4 each. can't remember. I carry that with me around to see if I find things to match up with it.
  21. So, we finally decided we are going to have all our bridesmaids in Coral (guava color from Davids Bridal). I told each girl to pick a short or high-low dress in the color any dress style of their choice. For shoes they will either wear silver or champange sandals. the Groom's mother will be wearing a mint/aqua color dress We're also going to use coral and mint as our decor colors: bridesmaids flowers - I made silk bouquets with white, coral, pink flowers and added 1 mint flower in each. with white ribbon around handle and tied a small aqua ribbon bow at top of handle. Bride Bouquet - Same as the bridesmaides, but larger and has 4 mint flowers, white feathers, 4 small pearl rhinesones and 5 starfish brooch pins. we are going to use their flowers as centerpieces for reception. Going to make vases using aqua Blumebox holders decorated with silver sparkle and starfish. for table linens havent decided yet but these are our choices: mint runners with coral napkins and mint maracas burlap runners with coral napkins and mint maracs mint & color cocktail straws if you go to my page on here you can see pics of the bouquets on my DIY photos
  22. wondering the same thing.... we have my self, plus 6 bridesmaids that will need hair and makeup done. Anyone that used the salon - do you remember what they charged for up-do and makeup? Also, with this many people and wedding at 4 pm; what time should we make an appointment for???
