Our guest count is a concern for us as well. so far we are inviting 69 people, and it keeps going up. I'm so worried about not finding the right resort or wedding package to cover at least close to that amount with out killing our savings.... I'm really hoping for around 40 to actually attend.

I'm hoping to do some site visits as well. I know Azul offers a bridal rehersal site visit. Does anyone know if other resorts offer something like this????

I actully just got back three weeks ago from the Azul Beach. it was an october wedding. there is no disco/club. For nightlife, there is the main bar in the middle of the resort right along the beach. Usually at night we hung out there. Some nights they would have live music there. One night there was a girl who sang.. she was amazing! these are the events or things they did on certain nights. One of the nights at the same bar area they had little vendor shops/ booths set up selling jewlery, bags, cigars, and other items. One of the nights they had a disco party on the beach another night they had a fire show on the beach there isthe tequila bar that is open til 1am. Usually we would start at the bar near the beach and we would end up here by the end of the night.

I also like both of these resorts. I'm trying to get the most bang for our buck. how many guests are you planning on having? right now our guest count to invite is up to 69! I'm hoping it goes down... don't want to go way over guest count and have to pay a whole lot extra. does anyone know if either of these resorts do free functions if you have a large guest count (meaning free cocktail, welcome party, bon fire etc)

Just wondering from those who had a large wedding here approx how much did you pay for going over guest count. we are estimated right now between 50-69 guests it seems to go up every day! Also for the reception for a large party like this; do they use a bunch of round tables or one long table?

I'm wondering if any of you had over the 40 guest count and roughly how much more it ended up costing you. I was going through our guest list and its crazy almost 50-69 guests...
