I believe the rates went up for 2015, the best wedding package is $3,500. It covers up to 25 people, for ceremony + reception, centerpieces, cocktail hour, guitar, sax or violinist, small photo and video package, bouquet & boutonniere etc.. Group rates really depend, we didn't do the group booking because it was an extra 120$ for each guest, it would've gotten us 6 free nights but I didn't think it was fair to or guests to spend that extra money.. so that's something you'd have to talk to your TA about, most resorts have the same deals. And another perk about the Jade tho, is if you book your wedding and stay for a minimum of 7 days, which most people do, you get a few free nights during your anniversary stay. We're getting married in September, I sent out invites in the beginning of March. I put an RSVP date of June 1st, so I have plenty of time to gather the meals, and seating arrangements before contacting Pilar & Isela. The WC needs the meal choices and all the forms 45 days prior to the wedding date, so for us that's August 10th. (Giving me about 2 months to finish everything!) Also with our TA, everyone has to be paid in full 60 days before our trip, which is July 21st. So I'm glad I got them out of the way nice and early so I don't have to scramble last minute, there's plenty of other things I'll be freaking out about by then. I did Passport invitations, and included a meal card with two choices and the website where guests can RSVP rather than waste money on extra postage. Congrats Lori, and welcome to the NJ wedding thread! (: I stayed at the Jade last September, and it's absolutely wonderful. The pool area has a ton of entertainment. There is music playing by the pool area, they keep an iPod behind the swim up bar, it's mainly the stuff you hear on the radio, or whatever's "hot" lol, they have daily entertainment, and an itinerary will be left under your door every morning with whatever they have scheduled for the day, wether it's volleyball, corn hole, a fashion show, etc. Your guests will have no problem having a good time. As far as dancing goes, the sportsbar is not a club atmosphere, there is a dance floor but I spent most of my nights at the blue beach bar, or what used to be the mix bar, which had more of a relaxing, enjoy your vacation, not a worry in the world kind of atmosphere. (Bring bug spray, not sure how the weather is this time of year but the Mosquitos are vicious in Sept) I will recommend finding Darius, you'll thank me later. He is amazing! BEST. BARTENDER. EVER. And he's truly an amazing guy, so sweet. But I promise you, you're all gonna have a blast. September cannot come soon enough for us, can't wait to go back! Hope that helps & Congrats again! Xxo

My colors were originally coral and mint also, but now it's more pink and mint bc it's impossible to find anything coral on Long Island apparently. I'm having gold accents and also want NOWE009 all white but add a Few pink to accent it... Love the idea of adding fake flowers, cannot wait to see your photos!!

I would recommend for the table, maybe asking Pilar or Isela to reserve specific seating for like the bridal party/parents and then letting everyone sit where they'd like.. OR drawing out a seating plan to your liking and assigning place cards to each seat? I've seen this a lot at the catering job I used to have.. Just a thought! And for the girls, maybe a little seashell bracelet or necklace of some sort? I haven't gotten this far yet, but my baby sister is 10 and I've yet to decide on her favor!

I attended the webinar also! What Isela meant is that bonfires are NOT allowed at the resort.. Obviously the presentation was old and should've been updated prior to the webinar..But the resorts used to allow bonfires/firepits. The Jade is on a Nature Preserve, they have turtles, and rare birds, etc on the resort so anything that could harm them is prohibited. Also it's their mating season I believe between May and October.. It's confusing, yes. I only know this because I've stayed at the Jade before. Other than the miscommunication about the bonfires, did you find the webinar helpful? I'm glad I was able to attend, I made a whole new list of questions I have to send Isela! Btw, I'm so thankful she's SO organized.. And I'm glad we decided against the Saphire, I sensed that Ramon was all over the place the other day! It was horrible! The Fire dancers usually perform once a week there, you could ask Isela for an itinerary of daily activities... But I wouldn't recommend adding the firedancers. They're a nice touch but after 15 minutes, it's kind of played out. And I think id rather spend the money on something else, especially if it's not private.. 188 days to go! So much planning! How is everyone doing with their planning?

We chose this, I hope it's good! When we stayed there last year, we tried everything and anything.. I wish there were more options for our wedding menu, my Fiance and his fam are all deathly allergic to shellfish, so that limits half of our options! WAAAH

I am not doing a TTD session, and we hired him just for the wedding day. As far as the terrace goes, it's gorgeous, it's just outside of the bamboo room.. I wanted our reception there but the mosquitoes are wicked at night during September when we're getting married.

You'd have to message Gonzalo about exact prices, but it's the slow season so you could probably get some kind of discount.. and if the photographer is willing to do all that you should probably just do it, lol. Our prices for the photographer was a third of that price if that helps (:
