Same here, we are going to get something small from Jamaica as favors for the ahr.

I'm going to do something old, new, borrowed and blue.... My mum passed away when I was a toddler, and I recently found her wedding dress, when we were clearing out my Dad's house. I'll be using little flower embellishments from her dress, and attaching them to a sash from my dress, so that's old and borrowed covered. My dress will be my 'new', still have to get blue..... I'm also attaching a photo charm to my bouquet, with photos of my Mum and Dad. Also thinking about having little bells, its an Irish tradition, its supposed to ward away evil spirits, restore harmony, and remind us of our wedding vows. Not sure how to do this one.... but it sounds fun!! :-)

That all looks great, only thing would be the parents wording.... I'd suggest Please join us, together with our parents of along with our parents. I think its very noble of you guys to ask to make a charity donation, truly heart warming :-).

I'm honouring both my parents, thinking about getting the bouquet charm... that way when my sister walks me down the aisle, we'll all be ` together ` .... hadn't really thought about parent/ child dance, think I'll leave it out, too emotional for me.

@@Dreamteam17 Congratulations to you and your husband on your marriage :-) how exciting!!! We are doing the legal bit in Jamaica.... I'm okay both waiting to do the name change, I still have a year or two left in my passport, and Drivers license.

I was at wedding where they did the fingerprint tree, all in autumn colours.... it was really beautiful... thinking about this for our own.... or a polaroid camera, and guests can stick their photo and a message into an album :-)

I'm going to get cups sewn into my dress, not sure what undies I'll get yet though....

Also having that problem.... my Fiancé has a big family, that all seem to get along, and live in Jamaica.... we have ended up caving into pressure and invited them.... his parents wanted invite more people, we just had to say no, and politely explain we don't want a massive wedding.

I'd also say to try going to the same jeweler the engagement ring was bought if at all possible. I did, and he custom made a wedding band that sits flush with my e-ring. He happens to be a family friend, so we got a discount on it too!

I love the yellow and grey, you could have little hints of aqua ( as a compromise ?). We're having white and deep purple, with hints of lime green.

I'm going with french too, will probably get a design or a little bling on the ring finger though.

@@Kyliewylie maybe you can get a pink hair piece to incorporate the colour? Or a sash? I'm getting my MOH, a different hair piece to make her stand out.

I'm paying $116 for hair and make up on the day, and $ 40 for hair and make up trial.

Firstly congratulations on your engagement!! I'm getting married in Jamaica too!!! I'd suggest Grand palladium, in Montego bay, Riu tropical bay Negril , Rockhouse hotel in Negril, or club hotel riu in Ocho Rios :-) they are all 4/5 star resorts, not sure if they all allow kids though.... good luck and happy planning :-)
