We were married at the Zoetry in May 2014 and it was WONDERFUL!!! The wedding was fabulous - as was the venue. I would highly recommend. We had 57 people attend, many that had never been to Mexico nor outside the US .. so the small property and being all inclusive worked well. Also being able to go to the nearby Secrets and Dreams resort worked well for those wanting a change of scenery. We hired a florist that did flowers, brought in tables and chairs for reception and most of the decor. Also hired a guitarist for ceremony and another one to play during dinner.. then DJ for reception. We also had fireworks - probably one of the highlights (well worth the $$). The hotel did a fabulous job with working with us on the menu, the chef was very open and did a great job..almost not enough time to go through all the courses... but they always say the wedding goes by too fast! The wedding cake was also very good. The wedding coordinator situation was stressful - the first 2 quit before the wedding (i think due to being stretched way too thin between the Zoetry and Dreams). The last one was good, it all came together at the end - but we had to wait until we arrived to finalize many of the items. However she did everything she could to accommodate us, but as a nervous bride the waiting was difficult. We go to Cabo frequently - often stay at one of the top resorts but pay a lot more... so while this place is not inexpensive I would recommend for a wedding. Also, the part that drew us to the place was they only allow 1 wedding per week so you are not 1 of many brides getting married there (like Vegas). The entire staff was informed about the wedding and super nice.. the service is excellent. And one other note.. they told us they could only accommodate 3 people per room but they had other rooms that handled a few families with additional people. And lastly - stay in the Aquora (sp?) building with the rooms that have the spa on the balcony.. it is furthest but the nicest. We used Gilda Badillo as our photographer, Arturo Sotomayor played at the cocktail reception and ceremony, Daryl Currie played during dinner and then DJ Ricardo played at the reception. We used Sergio Farais for flowers and decor. There was no extra charge from the hotel to use these vendors. Please let me know if you have additional questions.. hope this wasn't too much information. Quote MultiQuote

I was married in May in Cabo - at the Zoetry Casa del Mar. The wedding was fabulous!!! We used Gilda Badillo for photographs and Arturo Sotomayor played at our cocktail reception the night before the wedding and then at the ceremony. He was great. We had Daryl Currie play during the dinner and then a DJ Ricardo afterwards. Everything was spectacular! Sergio Farais did the flowers and table decor. Everyone was very professional - all my guests had a wonderful time. Gilda is an amazing photographer and takes a lot of pride in her work. The Zoetry Casa del Mar is a great place for a wedding - we had over 50 guests. The food was fantastic! The only part that was difficult was trying to get in touch with the wedding coordinator provided by the hotel. It all came together in the end but it was a little nerve wrecking being so far away from the person in charge of putting it all together at the hotel. The service and food at the hotel were amazing and my guests really enjoyed it. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact me.

My hair dresser for the past 12+ years has indicated that he and his partner will be attending my destination wedding (of course they have been invited). Several of my friends attending also have been long time clients of his. What is the protocol here.. he would like to do my hair for the wedding but I think I should offer compensation. It is an all inclusive resort so the cost for 3 nights is almost $1,000 (just for him not including his partner) plus airfare. I was thinking offering to pay for his portion of the room in lieu of 2 practice hair style session prior to the wedding and ask him to do my hair and perhaps my mother's for the wedding. Does that seem reasonable? I don't want to offend him. Any insight would be appreciated.

I was hoping this site would have some feedback on the wedding... Anyone have any comments about the venue or willing to share ideas???? We are considering Gilda or Bradley Fraser as a photographer.. thoughts (I think they are both TOP notch but would love to know what made someone pick one over the other) > Also considering having a band play versus a DJ .. recommendations?

Any Capella or Esperanta brides out there???
TexasBride2014 replied to LA2Cabo's topic in Cabo Accommodation & Site
I have stayed at Capella and it is one of my favorite places of all time! The service is incredible and so are the rooms. However, you pay for all of it with their room rates. Because I didn't want to ask my guests to pay such high rates but still wanted the small, exclusive intimate feel we chose the Zoetry Casa del Mar. It is pricier than some but supposed to be worth it. There are only 63 rooms and is all inclusive.. with no buffets. And access to the Dreams resort next door. It won't be as nice Capella but that is ok.. we will probably go their for our honeymoon! -
We are getting married in May at the Zoetry Casa del Mar in Cabo, and very excited and yet overwhelmed with planning the wedding from afar. I have spoken to a wedding coordinator in Cabo but the pricing the hotel is offering is comperable and didn't seem to make sense. If anyone has recently been married and planning to get married at this venue and would like to share any of their experiences I would love to hear them. I am trying to figure out how to plan the table settings/decorations for dinner, whether or not to use a DJ or splurge on a band.. and if a band who to use? Flowers.. not a clue on what is in season during May.. ? Oh there are a million other items I am worrying about but these are some big ones!
