    Getting closer for us. We have a site tour scheduled July 15th. I'm honestly starting to regret going to Dreams because I just can't put my head around paying the food and beverage additional when it's all inclusive. It just seems like such a waste and because I have lots of design desires our number is getting up there. Wish me luck... Also, is anyone considering having their ceremony at the interest? I've seen a few pics that appear to be at the front of the resort.

    I'm going to do a site tour in July. We've actually already booked but we want to go early to really get a look at everything and make a few selections. Does anyone know if they offer special room rates for this. did you decide to use the cellar for your welcome reception? We're actually considering it for our wedding rehearsal.

    Hi. I'm actually evaluating the same thing. Currently we've signed up for the middle package. However, because there are services in the package that I will not use, I've done the math on going with the complimentary package and adding on what I want. So far, it's coming out a few hundred dollars cheaper. I haven't officially made the change to the complimentary package, but if it's allowed I will certainly consider it.

    Anyone having their ceremony at the Gazebo...what are your thoughts on the privacy? I'm getting mixed impressions from the pictures and videos. Some make the area look more private then others. Do insight on how they section off this area for ceremonies?

    Sure, our URL is www.damonandmesha2014.com. I really wanted it to be the go to portal for our guests. I used WeddingWire to host because their technology is mobile responsive and I found more templates that I liked there. I also purchased a vanity URL for about $12/year to make it easier for guests to remember the site. Good luck! Anyone working with a lighting company (for reception) in Cancun? Any recommendations?

    Oh no are you going through the resort directly or a TA? My TA is looking into for me. She said it shouldn't be a problem, but will let me know after she speaks to her contact. I'll certainly post the outcome because I'm going to have a VeRY hard time accepting that given the size of our party. That's a pretty nice savings for us because we were planning for a Welcome Reception.

    Thanks for sharing this! Hi! November 8, 2014 DR bride! Question...I noticed a new promotion on the DR site, complimentary cocktail welcome reception for up to 50 people if you book your destination wedding by February, 2014. This is awesome because we were going to pay for a welcome reception. Do you know if they grandfather you in to new promotions? We booked our destination wedding in September 2014. I love the resort, but we're already at 40 booked rooms, and I just wished they offered more incentives for large groups like some of the other resorts.

    Question...in regards to the promo incentives for Dreams Riviera...does anyone know if they grandfather you in for new incentives posted? For example, they're now offering complimentary cocktail reception for up to 50 people if you book your destination wedding by February, 2014. We actually added this expense to our budget, but I visited the site a few days ago and noticed the incentive. We officially booked our wedding there in September, 2013. Wondering if we'll be able to take advantage of this?

    I'm going to Dreams Riviera. While I adore the place, one thing I will say is that you don't get the perks that would at other resorts. My party has booked about 40 rooms so far and had we gone with a palace resort I'd probably get more perks (like free private events - which I have to pay for at Dreams). Unfortunately, my pickiness is costing me So, no regrets, but I'd caution you. You will not get as many perks with Dreams ;(

    Does anyone know if any cases where they have allowed a bride to bring in an outside florists? I'm a little concerned about the cost of floral, especially for our reception. Thanks in advance!

    My fiancé is about to go nuts because he's ready for me to make a decision. (I think I'm driving my agent up a wall as well LOL.) We're strongly considering Dreams (either Cancun or Rivera), however I can't find pics of inside ceremony options for Dreams Cancun (I adore their ceremony space). I've emailed, but I'm still pending a response. Do you have any pics of all their ceremony options by chance?
