Can someone tell me what the average cost of the DJ was for a 4 hour reception?

My save the dates are out! I am so excited! Ive already started planning my wedding with my wedding coordinator, have to wait over a week for a reply though, it's like by the time I ask her a question. I forget the other one. I started getting quotes for photography and videography as well. Trying to locate a DJ as well

Awesome thank you! Can I ask people how long they had each for (photographer and videographer) and also how much everyone paid? I am trying to get an idea of where I can negotiate from.

Can anyone recommend a good photographer/videographer combo? Everything is sooo expensive.

Yea, I am communicating with my wedding person now, She is averaging about one week in response time but I am not trying to stress since I have a year to plan and thank goodness I read a lot of posts that show they take so long to respond! I aksed her in my last email if we can pick and choose from the memorable moments package, lets see what she says. They really nickle and dime you for evvvvverything. Like even having a little table with head coverings on them for the men (jewish wedding) they have to charge you for everything, so annoying.

Sooo...I just had my first conference call with my wedding person and so far so good, I started getting pricing but they are saying $250 for a table of 8?? That just seems so ridiculous to me, that doesnt even include centerpieces. At that rate, I can just buy some tableclothes and napkins myself and call it a day!

@asabatino please, please please take lots of photo's when you are down there for us brides that aren't going to visit! Can you take photo's of different locations if possible for the wedding? Like maybe what the inside of the restaurants look like? Ok guys, I know a lot of you guys asked what changes the GM said there will be, so here is his email chain below: we are quite busy with improvements and from April 21 to Dec 15 we will be in all sort of new creations and developments We are actually adding this year 120 new suites. 3 restaurants (Thai, Italian, Sushi) 2 Bar (Gin Bar and Rooftop) A very large plaza where most of the hotel action will take place Refurbishing and changing concept to existing restaurants Adding some meters to the beach and opening a beach Cafe He also stated he will be converting 30 double bed rooms to king size suites. Hope this helps! Based on recent travel reviews it does look like this has already started as several people mention a new Gin bar being built.

I'll pm you my email, ya I know the rooms are double beds, that was the one annoying negative! However then I talked to the GM of azul fives. Send me your email back and I will forward you the email chain between us. Pretty cool stuff happening there! We did mostly the cheap rooms, a handful of the others because I think most people will pick the cheaper rooms!

I am curious, and its ok if you dont want to share. What was the cost of everyone's room block for three days? Just curious to see if everyone is paying around the same amount or if one month costs more than another

I would love to see some pictures of the garden reception however I think if I was not going to do on that deck, I would do it somewhere air conditioned! I wonder how windy it could be? I feel like its so difficult to make a decision about where to have a reception without seeing it? Do you think it will be too hot up there? My dad went to a destination wedding in June in Mexico and he said it was very hot during the reception but theirs was at ground level so I wonder if the sky deck would have a cool breeze. I am also not a fan of the extra $15 a person however it just looks so beautiful!

Hey there, what is the difference between the sky deck and sky terrace? Sometimes they change the wording so often you cant keep up but I think I get it! We plan on doing our ceremony at the Sky Deck (the one that costs an arm and leg to rent_ , go downstairs to some place for cocktails and then back up for the reception. I know doing the reception up there costs an extra $15 a person, but after seeing this picture, there is no going back! I just worry about it being windy up there/too hot? Although, I am a worry wart. We are working with a destination wedding travel agent so she has connections to get me a WC although we havent gotten one yet, I do almost everything to her, she has been amazing. Did you guys use a TA for travel or doing it a different way?

Hi there KScheer! Our wedding will be May 12, 2015! We had wanted to get married in Jan, then it was February, then is was April and basically everything cost too much, so we pushed it to May. I just put down the deposit yesterday so I am super excited! We are planning on doing the Sky Terrace wedding with a Sky reception as well! What about you?

I wanted to start a 2015 page for Azul Fives because I only saw 2014 and if you are like me you probably are already planning even though its over a year away.
