I posted it in one of my earlier threads, I think on page 2, but I will post it here. I had emailed back and forth with the GM for a little while because I couldn't decide between sensatori and fives. Here is his response we are quite busy with improvements and from April 21 to Dec 15 we will be in all sort of new creations and developments We are actually adding this year 120 new suites. 3 restaurants (Thai, Italian, Sushi) 2 Bar (Gin Bar and Rooftop) A very large plaza where most of the hotel action will take place Refurbishing and changing concept to existing restaurants Adding some meters to the beach and opening a beach Cafe He also stated he will be converting 30 double bed rooms to king size suites. The gin bar has just opened as well as I can see in recent reviews, so thats one thing done. Also, he sent me a ton of awesome new pics of the rendering, i cant post here because i haven't reached my limit but basically they were just really awesome renders of what it should look like. Hope this helps you guys! I spent hours, literally hours deciding between the two lol. Whichever one you choose, it will be beautiful no matter what :-)

I have a question for those brides who either already had their wedding down there or are planning. So I need flower petals for my flower girls however paying $35 for 12 petals is ridiculous. That is literally $2 per petal!! They don't allow fake petals down there, so what should I do? Suck it up and pay the $70 for 24 petals or is there another options?

Hi guys! Just wanted to let everyone know that I am going to that BDR on November 6-9th and I will take as many pictures as possible. If anyone is looking for specific information and wont be able to come down, email me things you want me to find out and I will do my best to get answers/pictures for you! I know how difficult this is so I thought maybe I could help ease the burden. lilpersits@@gmail.com Lillia

Omg @@Vickiw89 thank you soooo much!!! This is amazing!!! I wonder how I never saw this before from my wedding coordinator! This helps me so much and you can see everythung and how big the sky deck is exactly!! I wonder where the dancing is on the sky deck?? It looks long but not wide! So excited about this!

I realized that too and freaked out when I saw that. At first I thought it was an error, I mean how could pricing go up by that much?? I had my travel agent email and beacaue I had already booked my wedding and I had the old packet they are going to honor my pricing. As a side note, seriously though?? I mean you might as well not have a destination wedding for those prices! I wish karisma would chime in here on the insane price increase. I understand inflation but that's beyond inflation!

So out of curiosity, how much did everyone pay for photo/video services? Personally, I got 6 hours photo, 5 hours video and a cenote trash the dress session. I see ocatvious prices, but they dont really look all that much cheaper so I am curious what was the total package cost including outside vendor fee?

Hey guys! I just wanted to let you guys know what I have done so far and what;s going on. I am getting Married May 12th, so far we have booked the DJ and photos/video. We used Sarani photography even though she is pretty pricey, if you take a look at her work you will understand why. She is absolutely amazing!!! I think her work is well worth the price. And we booked Discomovill as a DJ. You can add songs manually to a play list which is awesome. We will be having our ceromony on the Sky Deck so just like everyone else we had to pay $1700, then we will have the cocktail hour on the sky bar and then back up to the reception on the sky deck. We will also be going to the brides dress rehearsal in Nov. So exciting! If anyone has any questions feel free to ask me because I have been crazy planning.

i have a question for all you brides that have already been down there or married. I will be picking food soon. Who has had what and what has tasted delicious? I want to be able to give my guests chicken and fish possibly for dinner. Can someone make some recommendations on food? Also, I am seeing that the food includes open bar right?

@ reynbow just so you know there is a planning 2015 thread as well! As a heads up, I plan on paying the outside vendor fee twice for a DJ and photography/videography. It sucks I know, but I feel that those are the two things that can absolutely make or break a wedding. Flowers I dont really care about. The DJ that is outside the resort with the best reviews on here is DJMoxill(spelling?) His prices cost just about the same or less than the DJ for Lomas. I cant find any info on their DJ so there is no way I am biting that bullet! @kmk2016 so excited you went to the rehearsal! Can you tell us more about it for us brides that arent able to go? Well, I guess let me rephrase that, do you think that it was worth the money going to the rehearsal?? I am debating whether I should go or can I just do most of the stuff through here?

Dont worry @@TinkerSofi you will hear something soon. Just be prepared when you do start planning, it will take weeks before you hear back from your coordinator about a question. So I just do about 15 questions per email. @@BDABeachBum. I know that with the ceremony you get white glove service, everyone get s a cocktail, there is acess to a live webcam for those who couldnt come, and a bunch of other stuff. They charge you more per person I am guessing because they dont have a restaurant right there and maybe because they have to carry it up the stairs? No idea on that one but I will ask my W.C. I am still working on planning my ceremony....one step at a time

@@TinkerSofi, nope you just pay once. You only really pay for having the ceromony there. You get a bunch of stuff included in that $1700 as well. I do think the food for the reception is like an extra $10-$15 a person but I think it's worth it for those views! We will be doing our ceromony and reception there but our cocktail hour at the sky bar
