i would like to know this as well. So far what i think "from research" that we have to do is to get the pre-cana letter and permission from priest where you live. Will they be ok with those two documents? I am catholic and did batism communion and confirmation but my soon to be husband is muslim. He is ok going through the classes and agrees to raise our kids catholic. has this b een aproblem to anyone before? I have scheduled our info session with the church in November. I am not getting married until Nov 2014 or march 2015... so i am doing everything early in case i need anything else.

Anyone know where i can find bridal shows for destination weddings?

I am so new in this and I need some feedback on places you guys considered (flying from Charlott NC) any vendors that help you with your wedding from here? did you take your own photographer? did you use a travel agency? was your marriage catholic? etc...

Maybe you can create a STD electronically (i have seen a lot of them lately) that way you save money. I do not think invitations should go out a year in advance since people tend to forget to rsvp if its too early.. then you will have to remind them. I believe the earliest you can send out an invitation is 4 months in advance and give them a month to rsvp? thats my opinion

I recently got engaged and even though we would LOVE the idea of having a destination wedding I am not a "toes on sand" wedding person. My personality is very "lets dress up and look our bestbling elegant ish" Is the formal attire wedding in Mexico or DR even possible? i am not going to have it on the sand but would love the beach on the bckground... did any of you have one like this? would you be able to show me how you word it for everyone? what was your wedding party dresses/tux like?

I am at lost here. I just got engaged and my fiance and I are trying to have a destination wedding. Whilewe are beach lovers, I am definitely not having a "toes on sand" wedding. I always pictured my wedding as a black tie event. I want elegant attires, high heels, tux etc. Is this too much to ask from a destination wedding? Please let me know if you had one and how did it go?
