The interest/intent RSVP is GREAT!.. how are you wording that on your save the dates? what kind of save the dates are you sending? When in Feb are you thinking of? we picked the albatros terrace bc we "might" have more than 80 people :s its so uncertain right now on the attendees :s How are you doing with decorations? thats my BIG question mark bc I know i should be spending money on that for the pictures to look good.. but flowers are SOOOOOOOOOOOO expensive and no one will take them so it would be waste!

Hello brides! I was wondering if any of you knows where one can find a wedding color pallet? i am looking for silver/gray/purple/blush ish lol i have not decided on the colors just yet so i need some inspiration! Please let me know where you found yours

I am letting everyone know one year in advance since they will have to save money - i would let the closest people know of the date (in a conversation or text etc) then send the Save the Dates one year in advance... and if you are sending formal invitations do it 6 months in advanced to remind everyone!

Site Visit February 2014
Carlicardenas replied to ABCDwedding's topic in Riviera Maya and Cancun Accommodations & Site
Let me know how the weather will be like then we have set the date to feb 28th 2015! at Gran Caribe. We just came back and it was very nice! i loved the Hyatt Zilara (sister hotel) too.. but no children allowed so if thats important for your guest then you can have it at gran caribe (right next door) I went to visit only the ones with chapels (moon palace and JW Marrito) they are both beautiful but I opted from Gran Caribe for the breath taking chapel Also if you book with them you can do a food tasting.. I got the beef and chicken tropical.. i was not too fond of them.. but maybe you like them. Let us know! -
Hello ladies! i just got back from Cancun (i went venue searching) and i am happy to say I picked the Gran Caribe Real/ Hyatt Zilara. I was debating wether to have cancun or riviera maya. I chose Cancun because its easier to get from Airport. Trust me you dont want your guests to travel an hour after their trip from wherever they are coming from. (at least thats how I think) Now, Since I am catholic and I needed a chapel i went to 4 resorts (Marriott, Gran Caribe, Omni and Moon Palace) I chose Gran Caribe because the chapel is BEAUTIFUL. the Hyatt Zilara is AMAZING (yes they changed their sign and everything so its officially called Hyatt Zilara) and I did the food tasting... I was not amazed by their entrees but they said they could modify it for me. So DONT PANIC! Gran Caribel is a GREAT option! they are very professional and are used to do weddings.. but be prepare to drop some cash.. because they cahrge you for EVERYTHING :s Hope this helps! By the way - do you guys know of a threat for 2014 brides in Cancun/Gran Caribe Real?

Thats awesome! do you know if there is a group for 2014/2015 brides at this resort? I did not see any just the 2013 thread Have you heard good reviews of this DJ? I set my wedding date for Feb 2015! What are you thinking on decorations? I am working with Ana too.. Did you chose the Albatros terrace? If you are ok with the heat then thats good!. I went on December and its hot.. i cannot imagine if its hotter i would be melting.. The intense heat starts in May ... and hurricane season is around sept/Oct We were going to get married in Nov. but my fiance was scared of the rain after the hurricane season so pushed until Feb..

Thank you!!! we were there for new years and the weather was great until the last day we left (this weekend) it rained all day I fell in love with this place! and we booked our wedding date for Feb 28th 2015! We wanted to be a bit cooler than march/april Hopefully it doesnt rain (i will be crossing my finger since now!) haha I am between the albatros terrace and the villa terrace. They told me that Villa terrace wont fit 80 people and if it does it might be too tight and the only cocktail place they offer me if i were to do it in the villa terrace was the beach and i dont want my guest to have to deal with sand for that day in their outfits... Do any of you know of any other options?

How many people are you having in each table for reception? Whats the latest you can have the party until if its in one of the rooftops Is there a bar inside this resort? Charlotte, NC Destination Wedding Brides?
Carlicardenas replied to Carlicardenas's topic in Newbies!!
do you mean the one in January 12, 2014 The Bridal Showcase???is this helpful if you have a destination wedding? -
Thank you for this information! how many people sit in one table?.... Did you do anything for decoration for the cocktail hour? I think the lady I am asking all; these questions mentioned we cannot have it right outside chapel bc of respect to chapel?.. is that true? what is the area that you had the cocktail hour called? I was thinking we can use the girls bouquets for extra decoration... I dont know.. i was planning on not spending more than $100 in flowers overall but it seems like it goes over that

PSAV only does it in Moon palace? How much extra did you pay for more hours? I need at least 5 hours (1 cocktail and 4 recepetion)

We did the 4 hours of DJ as well and besides our little glitch, that I'm sure you read about in my review, they were awesome!! My guests kept going up and requesting songs throughout the whole night and they played every request! Hi! how much did you have to pay for 4 hours for them? I am thinking i would like to do 1 hr cocktail and 4 hours reception. They said I have to pay 2 more hours EXTRA even though it says that if you have more than 7 5 rooms you have unlimited events? so why wouldnt a cocktail hour be considered an event and just add one hour to reception?

Since i am going to have a pretty huge amount of guests coming of about 100, I loved the outdoor terrace but I dont want the reception to end at 9PM. I booked DELSOL photography their work is AMAZING. I also wanted to book DJ Doremixx because of the good reviews Ive read so far. How are your plans coming along? did you find DEL SOL pretty pricey?
