i am doing them in March when it gets warmer... i want to have pictures on my save the date

i bought a $30 bunder/organizer book. It helped me a lot with the interviews for the venues and photographers.. I havent looked at it after lol hopefully i get to organize it this weekend and continue my planning!

i was totally in your shoes in December!.. dpending on what costs you are talking about ... for example our WC for the Gran Caribe told us the more in advanced you book your rooms the least expensive they would be.. so the rates of the rooms wouldnt fluctuate as much. The plabne tickets do go up in Jan but its not SOOOOOO much. At the end we had to make a decision on what its really gonna work FOR US. trust me the people that want to attend your wedding would not mind a $80-$100 difference to ticket prices. They told us that November is just the end of hurricane season and I got nervous.. even though basically any month can rain, they told us that is less likely to have that much rain in Feb/March... We considered spring break and also valentines because as @@girlinthecity97 said its VERY expensive the weekend of valentines so we went with Feb 28th 2015. and set the wedding date Lets hope for the best!

I am sending magnets because i think they are the ones that people would look at the most, and i want to send out my pictures with it lol I think i will send out the invites WAY in advance.. so I can ask them to rsvp 5-6 months before the wedding so i can get everything already set by then.. when are you setting the date?

do you ladies know where i can get my magnets (save the date) for less than $1 each? thank you!

do you girls have any idea how many welcome bags are "too many"?? i am debating wether to have them or not since we are expecting a t least 80 people i was thinking maybe a small paper bag with little stuff... but not a beach bag.. thoughts?

im still debating on my colors.. i really havent found THE pallete that i would like to follow for my wedding colors, thinking silver/blush/purple violet :s i am not sure right now. I looked for ideas on pinterest but most of them are for different "themes" than what i envision ..

These center pieces are awesome! i am really considering the fake flowers.. but i heard some of my friends (who might be invited to my wedding *past brides*) that to have fake flowers is tacky .... im really against spending the ridiculous amount of money the hotel vendor wants to charge me

Just so you know if you book at gran caribe real you will not be able to go to hyatt zilara like you could when it was royal cancun before. It will be implemented in 2015

i had the same concern about the feb and nov. but decided to go for Feb. Spring breakers dont get to come until March, so you will probably be ok then. Also its less likely to rain then.. BUt you never know bc its crazy weather. April they tell me starts to get really HOT and that was a no no for me. hope this helps!

hello what kind of flowers are you getting (centerpieces, for the ceremony, bouquets, etc?) how did you make the comparison? do you know the name of the vendor that the GCR works with? what about the one you are working with? Please let me know I initially budget $500 for flowers but just the bouquets for the bridesmaid are $80 each DEl sol clients had elizabeth as their wedding coordinator and their event look amazing.. I think the bar is only open until 12 so maybe have a couple of drinks there and then head to the clubs? thats what im planning on doing

i hear the spa is good! i would definetely have a trial the day before just in case (i think thats $60) but you dont have another option unless: 1) you pay $350 fee for a make up artist to come 2) or go out of the resort to get it done in a salon I also heard that if you book through apple vacations they give you nighst for free if you have a min of rooms booked through them.. not sure if thats true. @@kwink did you get better rates than the actual resort gave you? they still dont have any rates for my feb 2015 wedding.. My package is the catholic one but i think it only includes an upgrade

true! whos your WC on site? I will assign some of the decorations to a family member/best friend I was informed that our guests do NOT get a special rate so it makes no sense about room blocks. They said that they have to book as soon as possible so they will get good rates

I dont think you can ever be overdressed at your own wedding! i cant see your dress but i am sure you will be the star fo the night.. dont worry about it!
