my fiancee and I may go to Vegas in May (just before our DW in Mexico) and get marriend with just the 2 of us. No one will know if your DW is legally binding or not.

I am not superstitious but I will not see hime the day of the wedding. I want the photographer to catch his first look at me.

Wear them or have your parents or people close to you wear them on the flight for you - if you feel funny about wearing them before the wedding. I will be wearing mine if not I would have had my parents wear our bands.

We invited people with their kids. A few opted to go away without their kids - but that was their choice. I didn't really see it being appropriate to ask people to come to Mexico but to leave their young children home.

I am wearing a fingertip length veil. If it starts to bother me i'll take it off after pictures I am doing a cenote TTD session a few days after the wedding and I am going to wear my veil

Tell the agents when you arrive at your gate that you have a wedding dress and tell the Flight attendents and ask them if they can put it in the first class closets or in the overhead for first class (there is usually a lot more room). People love weddings and brides.... if you ask they will more than likely be happy to help you out. I just calledUnited and asked them about this, they said even through I am flying first class the closet hold wheelcharis so if there is a wheelchar that needs to go in the closet I will have to put my gown in the 1st class overhead bin so make sure its in a sturdy garment bag,

I've noticed that the response time to my e-mails is now only been a few days, where as a few months ago it was a few weeks.

@@vanessav53. THank you. I'll check out the sites you gave me. I just feel like its more stuff to pack and more stress. My fiancee said please make this as easy as possible and rent stuff from the hotel. His words exactly were… I don't care how much money you spend as long as you get what you want and are not stressed put about the planning. I think he know's that I am already going to had e 3 suitcases filled with clothes/shoes. He actually wanted me to ship everything before hand but from what I heard on this board it may not arrive at the resort.. ever. I feel like I am at a complete standstill until I have a headcount. Once I know how many people are coming I can order supplies for my OOT bags, favors, decorations, etc. The really fun stuff!!!!

@@DinaQtobe. How many things were decided for your wedding when you were in Mexico? How did you pick decor and colors? I am starting to wonder about things like linens and colors for the wedding and I can't get a picture in my head b/c I have no idea what the hotel has on hand.

That's so exciting!! I sent mine out last week and I am stalking the mail for RSVP's. Today a few purchaes were made from my registry!!!!!!

I am doing a welcome dinner the evening before my wedding and it is going to be a buffet beach BBQ. This what I was quoted as far as pricing from Anel directly from my e-mail correspondence with her. "Regarding the Welcome event, we can do a Beach BBQ, the cost is $35 usd, plus tax, plus service, per person. This cost includes; location rental fee, basic set up (round tables with white table cloth), private bar set up, dinner buffet style and open bar for 2 hours". As far as room bookings I used a TA, my Best friends mother, who is a very dear friend is my TA and she has done numerous weddings at NOW Sapphire that have gone off without a hitch. My fiancee and I decided to hold a block of 20 rooms, we had to leave a $2000 deposit to hold these. If they are not filled by a certain date (I believe its mid-April for our June wedding) we will release the additional rooms and the money will go towards the balance of our bill for the wedding. @@CurlyKristen. PLease don't get discouraged. I felt exactly how you do and I experienced the same treatment from resorts in other countries when I first started planning. I promise you everything will come together.

@@vanessav53 Hi! Thats great. I'm glad you are having a productive weekend! I'm not 100% sure how many people the round tables fit on the tequila terrace - I want to say 7 or 8. I am having my reception out there but depending on how many ppl I have coming I may do long tables for the sit down dinner. Did you ever find out the dimensions of the table? I would e-mail the resort - they should start to reach out to us in the next few weeks to finalize our details.

I am just starting to feel like I have a lot of stuff to do for the wedding. If I one across the books I'll let you know which store I find them in since you are pretty close to me.

I had mine printed. They are going to get ripped open and tossed in the trash, plus 90% of your guests probably won't notice. Have the person that is doing your invites print the envelopes.

Thanks this is helpful. I am really worried about the food. Not the quality of it but the quantity. I am an Italian from NYC so I am used to events having an overabundance of food at all events and meals. But I am sure I can add things on to the menu once I am down there.

@@rvalenka.. you have plenty of time and flights should be reasonable that time of year. This current time is very expensive (Feb - April/May) b.c of the winter and spring breaks. We were looking to get married around this time of year but air and hotel were so much more expensive.

@@vanessav53. I can't wait to put mine together. Right after the RSVP date I am gong to start to order stuff for them. Where did you get the cards? I looked into customizing the cards but it was like $4.50 a deck - i thought that was a bit much.
