Hi Ladies! Well I'm married!!!! We ended up moving the entire wedding to Sandos Cancun Luxury Resort and I could not have been happier. I was really nervous as I had my heart set on Cabo, but it turned out just as imagined. We were able to keep our same date and Miriam, their wedding coordinator, worked with Lupita and myself to transfer everything over for me. We only had 6 guests change their minds so we ended up with a total of 43 people. Our wedding day was perfect. The hotel was beautiful, the food was great, the staff was super friendly and helpful. Several of our guests and us plan on going back in the future. Our photographer, Bradley Fraser from Cabo ended up flying himself to Cancun to capture our wedding. He is a little pricey, but I highly recommend him. He was so great to work with. If you need ANY help please let me know I would love to help you make your day as wonderful as mine was. An update though on Finisterra, they are opening Nov. 1 and the place looks fabulous. I have been following them on facebook. I will write up a full review with details later, right now I am trying to catch up on two weeks out of work :-/

@@MissMarissa all of our flight were originating from the US, but many different cities. They should work with you no matter what.

@@MichelleT No worries I knew what you meant As of this morning I officially confirmed with the mwedding coordinator, Meriam, at the Sandos Cancun that they have our wedding date avaialbel and in the process of moving all the rooms for me. She also asked me to send over everything i have arranged with Lupita since there is no interent or cell service into cabo. I joined a group on facebook that is farely accurate with updates and it looks like it may be weeks before they are ready to take any sort or guests. I have spent the afternoon contacting airlines and thye have been more than helpful, all have waived transfer fees for me. I also am looking for a photographer. I am really worried though I might lose my deposit with the photographer in Cabo. Thayt would be a lot of money to be out, but In the end all that matters is that my wedding happens, everyone has fun and is safe. Praying for those in Cabo. @@MissMarissa i would contact the Hilton Coorporate office. I think the Hilton received significant damage. I'm not trying to upset you I just want you to have time to make arrangements. Also they are without electric, food , gas and water at this point and many of the roads are un driveable. They are advising tourists to stay home since the can barely accomodate the people of Cabo. The airlines have all been wonderful to work with. If you need anything let me know. I know this is SUPER stressful, but your guests will understand no matter what happens, this is completely out of your control. All that matters is that you will get to marry your fiance and you will have a beautiful wedding. I promise it will all work out. Best of luck to you!

Yesterday they cancelled my wedding and offered us either a later date or to relocate to a sister resort. I am in the process of trying to move to the cancun resort and hoping they can still give us the same dates. Sandos said they will be closed for at least a month but the was hit bad and will more time to recover. Both usairways and delta are waiving our transfer fees for flights. I am concerned I may lose my photography and linen deposit at this point but we will see. I'll keep you posted as I know more. I wouldn't worry yet

@@MichelleT I have two guests staying outside of the resort and have not asked what the pricing will be since I just found this out. I will email Lupita and see what she says. @@hyoungquist the hotel provides all white linens but once i saw the room decorated for another wedding I felt like it was too much white. The round table linens were $57 each. I am also doing a bride a groom table ($64 for linen) and two long tables for the wedding party. Since i am doing a wider table I also had to rent two rectangle tables. (tables $30 each and linens were $69 each). I told them what my budget was and my colors and they gave be a bunch of ideas. The ladies were great to work with and I had originally had something completely different booked in March and changed my mind in August and they were more than accommodating. I would highly recommend them if you want anything more than the white provided by the hotel. I ended up going with white flowers for the tables since I am doing blush colored linens.

@@hyoungquist I am doing all roses because they are actually included in the flowers. I was originally told that lillies were included and also asked for calla lillies as well, but once I was told they would be more I went with just roses. I am using linens, things and more for the extra stuff. I am using the center pieces provided, but added table clothes, chargers, an entrance table and a cake table. I also am just doing a white cake with pink roses. I am bringing my own vases for the bridesmaids flowers, but I am just giving them to the linen company. I did not ask about having anything added to the ceremony space so I don't know what they are charging $200 for!?! That seems ridiculous. I am doing a rehersal dinner, but holding it at the buffett so it is not costing me extra. I also asked for a bill last week so I know what I am looking at and I have not been provided one yet so I am going to email Lupita right now. SO far this has been farely easy so fingers crossed all goes smoothly. 6 more weeks!!!!

@@hyoungquist Lupita sent me a few pictures of brides who has their hair done, but they were all down and curled and I was looking for an updo since my hair does not hold curl well. The salon is accomodating 6 bridesmaids, myself, the groom's mother and my mother. We just have to go at different times which was okay with me. I am going to schedule a trial so I know what I am getting even though at that point it won't really matter.

@@soulgroovy I was between Gilda badillo and Bradley Fraser. There are quite a few options when it comes to photographers. I ended up with Bradley because I wasn't thrilled with the lighting in Gilda's photos, but tons of people have given her excellent reviews on here. I am going with the hair and makeup at the hotel and taking my chances. My worst case is that I do my own. I am a little nervous but I think it will be okay. I sent Lupita a picture of what I wanted and the salon said they could do it.
