    This thread is the best! I just laughed so much reading all of these. Some people are really clueless... It's unbelievable! I forgot about my wedding stress with all this nonsense in these stories. Looking fwd to more.

    I would choose Turquoise. I think it's such a pretty stone and have loved it since I was a little girl. Q: If you had to kill one person in your family(not yourself), so that everyone else could live, who would you sacrifice?

    @@GingerJ228 Thanks! I can be really anal and controlling at times, but planning a wedding from a distance teaches you that you really are NOT in control at all. It becomes easy to loose focus of what the trip is really about- you becoming a union with the person you love. When you view it that way, everything seems so minor. Are you ready for your date? It's right around the corner!!!

    @@cassie06 I haven't gotten married yet or to this point quite yet. I was planning to do an AHR but we have about 50 people traveling for the wedding (more than we expected). Most of our close friends, parents, and a few family members will be there. So we are debating about doing the big AHR we initially planned. We will probably just do a family BBQ in our yard so our families can celebrate and mesh after we return. We will not do STDs but will send announcements with a invite to the BBQ celebration. They will only be sent to family (even the ones who attended).

    @@kjb123 Exactly! Funny you mention Target because I first bought some bags with net bottoms from there for $3 each. I bought about 50 but returned them because my fiancé didn't like them. He and my teen daughter both said they were cheap looking and shouldn't have cost that much. I like the dollar tree bags and they are in our wedding colors. They look nice!

    The bottles of tequila from Mexico is great! I'm headed to the Dominican Republic so I can easily print thank you tags now. I'm going to try to price small rum bottles when we arrive there. Our guests would love that. Thanks for the great idea!

    @@kjb123 I also have bags that I bought from Dollar Tree. I am not using them as beach totes. I also figured my guests would have beach bags with them already. Mine will be for small items & snacks. You can't beat the price of a dollar!

    Good luck with your planning. I booked my wedding without a TA as well. I emailed several times and didn't get responses. I called and finally got in contact with Carolina and booked via phone. After that, I have had no problems with email communication.
