@@malyna No reason for asking. Just curious. Are you planning to somehow incorporate touches of your culture into your wedding/reception?

We gave DIY luggage tags with our brochures so all our guests will have the same tag on their bags, but the fabric idea is cute. I have read many forums saying the DR doesn't provide wash cloths. I would check with the resort before going out and purchasing. All the times we've been there, our hotels have always had them. @@itswrightsc You have to do a small bottle of Jamaican rum in your bags (Wray & Nephew). That can only be brought in Jamaica & it's STRONG! Like 100 proof!!!

Sent wedding coordinator my guest list for group reservations. Waiting to hear back from WC so I can print my wedding day itinerary to go in the OOT bags... We've been counting down for awhile now but it's becoming real for me now!

By the time it's all said and done, the OOT bags end up being a "not too costly" notion that turned out to be the opposite- costly. I keep seeing cute things that I can't resist getting. The bags are unique and I'm sure my guests will LOVE them but I'm not even going to add up the contents because I'll hear it from the fiancé. (He thought they were an unnecessary expense from the very beginning.)

Are you going to have your ceremony recorded. I know it's not the same as her being there but you two could watch it together & have a special moment. I'm sure she will be emotional (the pregnancy hormones).

It goes really slow at first. Then out of nowhere, 150 just happens and you wonder how you reached it so quickly. When you get to view attachments & templates, this site is so much more meaningful. I'm still trying to decide. This is my second marriage also. My legal name is my maiden (but many work people don't know this). My family is very connected so using my maiden name has a lot of advantages and it works in my favor so I never did completely let it go. However I always used my married name at work and everyone knows me by this name although some are aware of my maiden because I would sometimes hyphenate it. So in all actuality, I have 3 aliases. My maiden, my 1st married name, and a hyphenated version of the two. Soon I will have a fourth with this new last name. Boy oh Boy! This thread just helped me realize I have way too much craziness going on... I need to clean this up and decide on 1 (or maybe 2). LOL I'm probably, maybe going to hyphenate my maiden and new last name . Job folks will adjust.

So sorry to hear this. It's (pregnancy) a blessing but the circumstances are unfortunate. I hope your friends will be able to make it! We have only our children in the ceremony. But our closest friends were invited and we expected all but 2 to attend. We found out yesterday that 1 of his best friends will not be able to attend because his finances are not allowing it. He has a daughter who just graduated college & is beginning Grad School. He has to foot the bill solo. I was saddened last night as I watched my fiancé try to be understanding telling his friend that he totally understood & he has to take care of his responsibilities... but he was deeply hurt. He hung up and told me, "Darn he really won't be there!" It seems like people are having to drop out as the date nears. We're less than a month away. It's disappointing because we wanted and anticipated these people coming, but what can you do?

I have confidence that the hotel decorations will be beautiful based on the package we chose. I'm taking a few things to add a personalized touch. They have our names & date on them. We're trying to pack light with decoration things because the items for OOT bags will take up a lot of space and I don't want to travel back home with all those decorations. Besides, we still have to decorate for our AHR.

The Pepto Bismol is cheaper if you get the box from Walmart and just cut two off the plastic sheet. It's $1.48 for a box of 12. That averages out to about .25 per person (2 tablets). Also the small sunscreen tubes are $1 at Target in the travel section. That site is still great for some items. I just like to price compare and get the most bang for my buck! Hope that helps someone.

These are a really cute idea! Beach themed but different from the seashells or starfish that everyone usually uses. I like these A LOT!!!
