Beaches in Ocho Rio is too far out, and my fiance wasn't crazy at all about the Riu

I prefer Montego Bay because it's the closet to the airport. As for the resort, out of all my guest, I believe myself an maybe one other guest may bring their children. My children will be going of course to see the ceremony and be apart of it. I myself will not have a bridal party, it will just be my son as ring bearer, and my daughter as a flower girl. Even though many of my guest will not be bringing children from what I gather it doesn't matter to them if it's an all adult resort. I think the only thing that does matter for everyone that it's a nice affortable resort.

Wow! You are certainly on a roll! I need major help!! I just got off the phone with my travel agency. I'm will be meeting with my agent on Sunday. My dilema is finding a great resort suitable and affortable for my family and guests!!! I need to be lead in some type of direction because right now, I'm all over the place! LOL All I know is that I want to be married on a beautiful island beach in the month of July for a great price! LOLOL

I am working with an agent whom gave me a few to resorts to pick from with the Beaches and Sandals being on the list. I think the decision will be the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites. I will keep you posted I'm bout to take it in and rest my brain until tomorrow, or later on I shall say at this time.

A mutual friend of one of my friends got married at the Sandals so we were trying to go a diffrent route, and we were't moved by the Beaches

I'm sorry the Iberostar is in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Jamaica is the location we decided, and we picked Montego Bay, because it's the closes to the airport other than Negril or Ocho Rios.

Yes, I actually have considered getting married on a Thursday! I spoke with a wedding manager today at Iberostar Rose Hall Suites and she gave me week days that were available I think I may go with July 24th which is a Thursday,The only dilema now is that my Fiance is leaning towards the Sunset Beach Resort and Spa which is cheaper!

I just came from checking out the Sunset Beach Resort and Spa on the trip advisor and there are mixed reviews. I'm caught between the Ibersostar Rose Hall Suites (which I would have to have my wedding on a Thursday because all weekends are booked for July 2014) Or the Sunset Beach which the accomodations are cheaper. I just don"t know if it's as nice or about the same, I also see reviews saying that the Sunset Beach Resort has a small beach. Intially my heart was set on the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites until my original date I planned to get married on which was July 12th got booked and and then after waiting about 2 weeks, all the weekends in July got booked!! So now I'm at square one again...

Thanks for the info, I actually will need a resort that accepts children. My heart was set on the Ibersostar Rose Hall Suites but so far all weekends in July 2014 are booked. I looked into the Iberostar Rose Hall Beach but the scenary looks all that great from the pics I have seen. I also came across the Sunset Beach Resort and Spa in Montego Bay that seems affortable but I haven't seen any recent reviews from brides that married there, the ones I have come across where in 2011, so I'm kinda skeptical plus the website doesn't really sell me. I will take your advice and look into the Riu!! For now this seems to be the hardest part, and it's only the very beginning!
