I think that a phrase book would be really nice. I've found that when you're away being able to converse with the locals even if its just a few words is helpful. Even if you can't provide your guests with a phrase book, they'll definitely appreciate a phrase sheet. With the important stuff like, "one more beer" or " where's the bathroom?" This is a really neat idea

I love the idea of barefoot sandals but for those of you who have actually used them... What other shoes will the attendants wear? I know from personal experience sand can be hot lol...Lastly and I know this should be a no brainer, but What if people don't want to be barefoot? I'm just coming up with all the lame excuses I will probably hear. I like the idea of them!! If I can save my attendants money on having to buy shoes?! this is fantastic!!

For those of you who have been to MP is there a map of the resort. I hear it's very large and I'm really having difficulty imagining it. I'm not sure if I've missed it on the threads here or maybe someone can direct me to Google. Let me know! I am looking forward to saying 'I do' in 2014!!

LOL... Do you have a date yet? I'm not sure if I saw it or not. I'm trying to learn everyone's names and dates. I'm almost certain I will forget and ask again, so please forgive me. I still don't have a date. I spoke with my TA last week and I'm just waiting on her response. So let's keep our fingers and toes crossed about that as well.

I think I might attempt to try to assemble (create) my own invitations if I can keep them in a reasonable price range. I'll just have to employ the help of my FI and SIL. I think I'd be a little less stressed and worried if I thought I had bridesmaids that were nearby. I'm a transplant to my area so my bridesmaids are ALL OVER. I do have my future SIL who lives right down the block to help. I guess I always imagined that I'd be one of those brides who had the full company of her court to fulfill her every need.... ok ok ok I'm exaggerating just a bit. I guess I'm just learning that everything is not what you see on Bridezilla. ( & yes I know that TV show is a gross over exaggeration) But I think you ladies know what I'm getting at, especially when it comes to Destination wedding planning. It's a whole new ball game.

I am hopin' and wishin' and prayin' that I get unlimited events. Let's all collectively keep our fingers crossed because my wedding budget depends on it! I'm going with the complimentary wedding because as everyone has stated before it's only 15 minutes and it makes no sense to spend an exorbitant amount to decorate for a 15 minute ceremony.

Is anyone choosing the complimentary package over the Colin Cowie packages? If so how are you decorating your spaces. I'm a bit of a frugal bride and the a la carte menu of decoration scares me just a little bit. I feel like I could go overboard at any minute.

So can someone chime in about having a separate WC? I've read about this on a bunch of different forums lately. The resort doesn't provide you with one until like 3 months before. Where are people getting these offsite WC from? I'm assuming that the WC and the TA are two different people that serve two different functions. Please excuse my ignorance, I just need some clarity on the topic.

I am using Destination Weddings. FI found them and thought they'd be a good choice. I don't have any complaints as we haven't really done much at this time. I'll let you know as things go along. Really? I was hoping it'd be over soon... this is nerve wrecking!!! ::Deep sigh:: It's like I'm waiting on a date. I'm trying to get FI to agree on a style/theme etc. it's alot of work! I have to say, FI is very supportive and very involved. He wants to be apart of every planning step. Which sounds amazing, but in reality it can kinda be a little frustrating. I'm not going to complain though.

You guys got me wanting a an AHR now.... my FI will kill me if I even mention it maybe I'll mention it to my future SIL and maybe she can convince him lol. I seriously need to get organized. I found an old accordion folder to store items. I need to hurry up and hit my 150 post so that I can see some of these attachments. I think I might want to attempt passport invites. I just need to see how time consuming and involved they will be. Oh... And I went to the post office today. Totally didnt factor that not my budget :confused:
