I'm not really sur ehow helpful it will be, but I'm kinda just wanting to be in the presence of other brides, so i don't feel so crazy in my wedding planning world. Too bad you're not coming?! Oh wells... hopefully we too get nice swag bags too!
  2. Yay!!! I'm excited, can't wait to see you all

They are easy to transport and don't require much to set them up. I'm gonna put battery operated candles in them. My only concern is if it's windy...I'm going to have to figure out something else to put in them to keep them up and beautiful. I was thinking a few of those per table. I really don't know what else other than rose petals and the guest favors. I know I'm gonna go crazy with stuff so I want to try to keep it as simple as possible, yet show a bit of our style. That's so awesome!!! I forgot you said you had luminarias. I think you'll be ok, I don't think the bag will bee too flimsy and flip over. I haven't even thought about the reception yet. I'm just trying to make sure I stay on budget! Well that and getting all the important details squared away like, confirming my location for the reception.... oh! and Invitations. I did my STDs last weekend and the first batch will probably go out next week. (fingers crossed) Did you do a site visit? I feel like you said you went in August.

She didn't have to flat out say no the way she did either she could still help you in other ways and be there for you. It'll take time to get over it I know i'm going through it too. I asked a really good friend of 29 years to be my bridesmaid 2 months ago and I have yet to get an answer I mean I know its a NO now but so rude for her to completely ignore me. At least you got the no and can move on and find someone who you are close to who really wants to do it and will be supportive along the way. In the end the only 2 people who need to be at your wedding are you and your fiance. Good luck to you and hope your planning goes smooth. Thank you NJBride. You guys are very kind and helpful and I appreciate it. I'm just going to have to get through this.
  6. Thank you!! I still haven't found a budget planner I like, I'm definitely going to give this one a chance.

  8. Those hairstyles are beautiful!!!! I love them. TuffLuv have you considered any updos? I know it can be real windy and be humid in DR. I like the curls though.

For the reception: We are getting papel picado, custom luminarias (with candle inside), and some fun favors (silly things like mint tins, more maracas, etc.) - we'll also have placecards for each guest which will make it colorful and nice. My family sells all of those custom items on Etsy, so it'll be free for us, except for the setup, which I hope that my family will do for us to save on paying those fees. Check out my planning guide listed below. I'm going to be updating that pretty soon with more ideas and inspiration. Thanks!!! I checked out your planning page and i'm in love with your wedding already. Too bad I won't be there until the 23rd so i can't crash it . Are you doing centerpieces for the reception?

Its about 22 flowers per ball if you use daisies and more for roses. There's a ton of DIY sites on how to make them I didn't look to see how much the resort is charging. I just thought it would be unique. Plus I'm trying to cut some corners... clearly I have a little more work to do.
  20. ERRRRMAAAAAGHERRRRDD..... listen, those flowers are gorgeous. I love them!
