Nope, she is definitely trying to charge me for a private event on this terrace - she said; 'if you want to avoid the fees for plated and private dinner for 20 you need reserve inside the restaurant with the regular guests (no private space). The Arrecifes restaurant is Buffet style, so you don’t need an special menu. Please let me know' They are also want to charge me for the plated menu (which is usually for over 50 guests) because i only have 17 guests! im really stuck on this one, i just dont know what to do!
  2. Thank you for your post Shan0487 - I was advised by my wedding planner that this area came at a cost of a private event!? i will email her again and see what she says, i hope there has been crossed wires as this would be ideal!
  3. Hey Ladies, Im having major problems with the hotel/wedding planner at the moment and i only have 9 weeks to go! We only have 15 guests but because everyone booked through different sources we dont have any free private events whatsoever. I have now been told that because we have under 20 guests we arent allowed the buffet, we have to have a plated dinner (so the guests cant choose what they eat) at approx. $80 per head - ridiculous! i wanted a quiet/informal do and its escalating in to something that i didnt want at all. another option is to have a meal in a normal restaurant, but we wont be seated all together? they dont seem to be accomodating at all! I really need help on this one please- any advice?????

  5. Hi Ladies, I am getting Married on the 9th May at the MP! SOOOOO EXCITED. I have stayed at the Hotel before (9 years ago) so a lot has probably changed since then! it would be helpful to hear from other brides getting married around the same time to me as to what they have planned already - what they have left to organise. im aware that we dont get assigned a WC until a couple of months before but im finding myself pulling my hair out at wanting to set things in stone as i have made a lot of decisions already! i do keep on emailing the sales person for MP weddings as i have no-one else to contact but i can tell im annoying her with my questions! i only have 12 guests at the moment so its far from a massive event, but i would at least like to know what i can book in regards to evening receptions/decorations for the day etc. Any help would be much appreciated!
  6. Hi! I am also getting married at the MP on the 9th May. What time are you having the ceremony and how are you getting on with your arrangements. Would be great to know how your plans are coming along, especially from a fellow May9th Bride! our ceremony is at 6pm and i have requested the locations, but not sure whether i will definitely have what i want!
