Do you have pictures of the jewelry she is making? Sounds beautiful. I will check her website out. We are hiring DJ Mannia. He's expensive but I think it will be a big weight off my fiance and I's shoulders to know that no one has to go up and mess with the music. I just want to party and dance! We would prefer to have 1 long table too but I'm not sure if it would be toooo long @@TealMarie Did you use Beach Wedding Studios services during your wedding? Or did you opt to not use them at all?
-
Well bad news, Jessica said we can't credit the money towards something else if we don't use Beach Wedding Studios. She said we could use them in the cocktail hour or reception. Or you could probably keep them for the ceremony to get some extra shots. Since you two are using outside vendors for photography too, what do you think you will do? I am bringing maracas too! I think they will be fun. I bought small votives and candles to use on the tables. I'm still debating on a table runner because I don't know if we are doing 1 long table or 5 round tables for 32 people. I am also renting vases for our flowers.

Karen and TealMarie, Thank you both for the advice. I sent in a few options to Jessica yesterday so I'm just waiting for a response from her. We are getting married on thursday so we are having a Meet & Greet at Cafe Kafe on wednesday night to get everyone acquanted! I am happy to hear that you really like Cafe Kafe and you met up there often. I'm also excited for Martini Bar! Karen are you hiring DJ Mannia?

Hi Correak, Yes I can definitely ask Jessica what bars are open late, did TealMarie's answers match up with any of Gloria's answers? How did you know you could rent stuff from ERC? Is there a sheet they sent you that you could look at? I Just now got the beach gazebo decorations one and we are 3 months out! I have literally had to ask for all of the catalogues (flowers, decorations, price list, food, etc) not a problem but if I didn't have this website I would be lost! When you sent her a bouquet to choose from, was it a random one you found or a ERC one you had seen? Are you getting legally married there? Thanks! Hi TealMarie! Glad you are back! Yes I am sooo confused because in the Gold package I am not sure if it is included to choose a ceremony tablepiece (I know you didn't have one) AND reception centerpieces. I don't want to be paying $60-70 a centerpiece if it isn't included. If it is included how many reception centerpieces do you get to have? Did you get them on all of your round tables and did you have to pay for each of them? Were they similar to your bouquets? Jessica and I have gone back and forth 3x and I still do not understand. I should just rent the vases for my 2 bridesmaids, my bouquet and they can move the ceremony centerpiece that I know is included on the table and be done with it! Bahhh! We are going to have just over 30 people so we are going to do 1 long table. Also how did you know that you could rent vases? I really want orchids but they are $20 a flower, so I think I will splurge on my bouquet and then do roses for everything else. Thank you!

Hi correak, I wish I could help you with your answers but I can't because our wedding date is 6-12-14. With 50 people did you choose the Gold package? What locations did you choose and have you picked out your flowers yet? I am so confused by Jessica on centerpieces. Any help on that would be appreciated. Thanks, Kari

You are right, Jessica is taking over, Gloria is now her boss. Menu - Gold option 1, and picked out all cocktail hour appetizers as well. we just went with what sounded good to us. Flowers - I have a bouquet picked out, I really want orchids! But they are pricey! The flower pictures they send you are not good! I think it's hard to pick. Locations - we chose beach gazebo, X-Lounge (but I think I am going to change to Las Olas) and Barcelona for reception. It's a shame that more girls don't check out this forum for ERC. They redid the website many months ago and it's wayyy different, hard to find certain forums I think. It used to be way more active JessT: Are you getting legally married in Mexico? How many people are you expecting to come? I am bringing with me chair sashes, OOT bags for our guests, personalized koozies, maracas, starfish napkin rings I made, so far that's it. I'm using their table linens.

A couple more questions for you! 1. We are going to legally get married in Mexico too. Is it $200 per person or $200 per couple for bloodwork? 2. Do you have to get your marriage license translated into English? Do you know how much that costs? I'm sure it varies per state. 3. How many people did you have attend your wedding? Did you have a Meet and Greet? 4. How did you win an in-house photographer photoshoot? I would love to see more of those pictures if you don't mind sharing! The one you posted is adorable! Thanks!!

Thank you for such a fantastic long review! Very detailed and you looked gorgeous! I loved that you changed dresses too, how fun! Glad to hear that it was an amazing wedding day for the two of you (as well as your guests). Gloria has already been so much help that I just can't wait to meet her. I'm also happy to hear that the resort photographers were good, we are using them for the wedding day. Lovely pictures!

Yeah TealMarie you are right, it's $45 pp after 20 people for reception. I was getting that confused with a private rehearsal or meet and greet dinner which is $20 pp. Have you posted a review or any photos yet? I can't wait to hear how your wedding went! Did you bring your own chair sashes and table linens? Do you know if the Martini Bar is still there at ERC? Did you have any problems with the cake not being out or being served to you and your guests? Thanks!!

Hi JessT! I am getting married at ERC June 12, 2014. I am going to use the in-house photographers, I've heard mixed reviews but don't want to pay all the extra money for it when it's included in the Gold Package. Wedding video is only the ceremony part. I've also heard mixed reviews on that as well. As far as I know they don't video the whole day and do a summarized wedding day video. I wish they did! You'll have to recruit someone to do that. Any date set yet? Hope that helps. Hi IrishRose. I would assume Christmas decorations will be up all of December! If your wedding is at 4:00 there should be some time left for pictures but the sun does set there earlier in the winter. That ultimately would be a question for Gloria, also the question about the beach/pier reception dinner would probably need to be checked by her as well. Are you in contacts with her yet? Any date set? Hi Beth! My fiance and I are getting married June 12th! Have you for sure set the date yet? We did use a travel agent but only for the 2 of us. We are staying in the two-story rooftop terrace the whole time and our travel agent gave us a price that was $1,000-1500 more expensive than we were finding online (cheapcaribbean and travelocity) They price matched but it cost $100 to do so. My Fi and I decided that we would help everyone book their own trip. So far it's been going fine. I would say to go with a travel agent for your trip at least just in case anyting goes wrong it will go back to them. How many people do you think will come to your wedding? The Gold package is what we went with and it covers up to 20 people for a private reception. You will have to pay around $20 per person if it is over 20 though. You always have the option of doing "semi-private" and it is not a set menu and you don't have to pay extra. We are doing that for a "Meet and Greet" for all of our guests the day they get to the resort.

@@Bethbazzel I am getting married June 12, 2014! We leave the 18th so we will just miss your wedding. How is the planning going for you? We picked the Gold Excellence wedding package due to the amount of people that will be there and because this is our only wedding (we aren't doing a reception at home) Have you picked all of your flowers/centerpieces/menus yet?? Have you picked locations yet??

Thanks TealMarie and ampanda! That info helps out a lot! But ughh that's a lot of money just to play a 5 minute video! Bummer! You have helped convince us that we will definitely use DJ Mannia! Did anyone else have a problem with mosquitos?? I am just trying to figure out what all I want in my OOT bags! I think I pretty much have it narrowed down, now it's just time to collect everything!

Well it's official ladies! My fiance and I are all booked for June 12th, 2014!! I am soooo ready for it to be here NOW! I just sent Gloria an email full of questions regarding questions about the bouquets, centerpieces, locations, menu, etc. (she already sent me the options to choose from) but I wanted to ask a few questions on here to see if you all knew! 1. Does anyone know how much DJ Mania costs? I read that that company is on that list of approved DJ's so there is no $500 fee correct? We aren't having a reception at home so I want it to be a fun time! 2. What is the name of the company of in-house photographer? I think Gloria sent it to me but I can't find it anywhere. I wanted to research them some. 3. I'm also curious about the groom's room night before the wedding, this would be very helpful. 4. Anyone know if you can have a slideshow played at the reception? TealMarie your day is coming so fast! I'm excited to see how it turns out! Thanks everyone!

Hey ladies, I am new to BDW and my fiance and I are highly interested in having our wedding at Excellence Riviera Cancun. My sister-in-law got married at the Excellence Playa Mujeres and it was incredible! She had her wedding at 11 and it was very hot and no shade whatsoever. All you summer brides out there, what time of day did you have your ceremony at the beach? How was it? Also, if you have any pictures to show what it looked like that would be fantastic! I have seen some weddings that are partly shaded and that is definitely what I am looking for so my guests aren't dying.
