Hi Ladies, I have finally figured out how to get back on here. I concur with everyone's anxiety and feeling like there is not enough time in the day to complete everything. I have about 31 days until my big day. And I have to admit I have ordered and received all the décor I am taking with me (and packed it as well); I have had my dress fitting and alterations done (I will pick my dress up on Saturday); I am waiting for my bouquet to be delivered and my jr. groomsmen suit is being altered. All in all I think I am looking pretty good, except for the music (which I left to my groom so I have to get on him about that). Although, I think things are going well I still am a ball of nerves afraid I will forget something or just plain worried that things will turn out the way I envisioned them. All of you are in my thoughts as you complete your journey's to walking down the aisle next month (WOW, can you believe it, NEXT MONTH!...how time flies). Did you have any issues with documentation? I am confused did you just have to get the copies of the documents notarized or did you have to get them notarized and certified? Also how long did it take for you to receive your marriage certificate? Thanks. Also your review was lovely.

Hi Ladies...I wanted to know if anyone had any issues with their documentation....did you only have to bring notarized copies of the your documents or did you have to get them certified as well...I just to want to be sure I don't have any hiccups when I get there...also how long did it take for you to actually receive your marriage certificate...thanks...have a blessed one

Thanks for the advice on the OOT bags. YAY! We are going to share the same day...Keep me posted on your planning... I would love to hear how things are going...I agree with the WC at the resort, I finally started leaning on her more this past week and she has been wonderful...so the nerves are definitely subsiding and the excitement is taking over...The count down is on only about 4 months to go....

Furturebride714, sorry for the late response. I am happy to share some of my planning. First the invitations have been mailed, I did boarding passes for my invites ( I will try to post a pic later this evening). All of the arrangements for accomodations have been arranged with Sunset's state side coordinator so our guest can make their reservations etc...I don't have a bridal party except for my son and my future step daughter, so that;'s pretty simple...I have my dress which was a steal because I purchased a bridesmaid's dress from Wtoo that I am going to use...Our wedding package included photography and we are doing an iPod for music so not much to do there...Now I am just pulling together the loose ends, deciding on decor (which the facility has been very helpful with), we picked a menu with the help of the WC at Sunset, deciding on favors and OOT bags...things have been going pretty smooth and with all of the comments, help and ideas from this site I know completing my final tasks won't be that difficult...I will keep you posted as things progress...I am about 4 months out and getting pretty excited...let me know if you have any questions be glad to help...Good Luck with everything...

You did an amazing job. Everything looked wonderful. I am getting married at Sunset in January, 2014. After seeing some of your pictures and reading your comments I am glad I choose Sunset, a number of our guests are bringing their children so it is turning out to be a family vacation for most. I do have a few questions if you don't mind. I am doing the shot glass favor and Appleton favor as well; I was looking for a vendor to buy a case of Appleton can you share your vendor. Second, for the reception they indicated only standard white linens were available. The overlays in your pictures were they provided by Sunset or did your florist provide those? Thanks for sharing. It was beautiful. If you have any advice or tips you think would be helpful regarding Sunset, I would love to hear them. Thanks

Congrats to all of the 2014 brides! I am getting married Jan. 18, 2014 in Jamaica at Sunset Beach Resort and Spa in Mo' Bay. Would love to hear how things are going for you all. I know I am starting to stress about the little things, but my excitement takes over and I just remember it won't be long until I am the new Mrs., which for me has been 2 years in the making (we woke up about a month ago and said lets go to Jamaica so I am definitely way behind!). I too am a little skeptical about the quality and it has received mixed reviews but the wedding pictures I saw looked great and I also found someone's wedding on You tube and it was gorgeous, so I decided to go with it. So even if it is not five star, I know my wedding will be lovely and with family, friends, and a new husband what else matters. Good Luck and feel free to write back with questions. The staff has been nothing but wonderful. Another plus is that you get a state side coordinator as well as a coordinator on the island so that has been very helpful. Any recommendations for hair and make-up in Montego Bay?

Hi to all of the Sunset Brides past, present and future....my wedding is scheduled for January, 2014...Just wanted to know if anyone had any advice about the do's and don't's...one question I did have I read that they won't accept any packages on your behalf prior to arrival... I have some decor I would like to bring with me and thought about shippng it ahead of time...any advice? Again Congrats to all...
