@@Soon2bmzbrooks They lowered the band price back to $200 for the upgrade from the Mento Band, so I agreed with that. I heard the Reggae band and the DJ was good. I scaled back on the gazebo decor and will just have white shears on the beachfront casita. Overall, I am pleased with everything, so hoping everything will work well on the "Big" day!!

Wow!! Thanks for sharing!! I asked for the microphone too to use during the ceremony, so we will see how that works out. So happy your wedding turned out FANTASTIC!! Congratulations!!

@@Meandhim Welcome fellow November Bride!! You are getting married the day before me. Woohoo!! I'm sure you are doing great!! Just had my bridal showers, so now I am writing all of my Thank you notes. My goal is to get that done this week. We finished to contract, so now I am making menu cards. I think this will be my final design.

@@amberc Just wanted to pack some things to get them out of the way. My dining room table is filled with so much wedding stuff. I just needed some space. I too have to finish put together my program fans, and do my pre-boarding letter, that I want send out 3 weeks prior to the wedding. Still trying to think of what group activity to do. I want something that at most is a 1/2 day excursion. Thinking we may just do a group activity at the resort. Maybe a pool tournament for the guys and beach/pool volleyball for the ladies. My Fi is still working on our playlist for the DJ. Just crossing one thing at a time on the HUGE "Things To Do List"!!

Ok fellow November 2015 Brides, we have 1 full month of planning, what is everyone doing now? I just had my bridal shower this past Saturday, which was so much fun. Gave out my "Bridal Entourage " gift bags which they loved. Packed 2 suitcases with all of my reception, and party decorations. Submitted my documents to the resort, and finalized my wedding contract. Now, that I have a final count of 23 guests that will be joining us, I am going to get my OOT bags together. Whew, I feel like it is all coming together.

Doing my contract now. The DJ is $250/hour x3 hours, The steel drum band upgrade is now $300 instead of $200. The gazebo decor is $200. Yes, the prices do add up. Thinking about just doing the Mento Band to save the $300.00. Does anyone have any experience with them?

@@pjsandwich Ok, so I need to confirm we will have mics, b/c that is a must. I have been to weddings, where you couldn't hear anything, so I don't want that for my guests. Thanks for the heads up.

Yes, getting excited now. One thing though, I went to mail my notarized documents and they told me to send it by courier instead. Most of the mail gets lost and never arrives or arrives too late.

@ pjsandwich Getting ready to turn in my wedding planner form. Is there anything that you thought was worth the extra money to get, and /or what did you think was a BIG waste of money to get. I see they added a lot of new "Extras" you can purchase. On my ~2 month countdown now. Getting excited!!

I just LOVE this website!! Just when you think no one understands, you read that other brides have gone through the same thing. My final deadline for RSVP was yesterday, and my MOH just added a Plus One last night of a guy she just met about a month ago. Initially, I was upset and told her he can come to Jamaica and the free wedding activities, but not the wedding cocktail hour, reception, and group excursion activity. In addition, my Fi and I are paying for everyone's airport transfers. "Frustrating" I know she just didn't want to come to Jamaica alone. I know I am whining, and eventually i felt bad and said yes, bring him along, but a little part of me is still a little perturbed. I'm just going to suck it up and enjoy the wedding weekend. No since losing a friend, when I am marrying my best friend. Also I agree, don't know why we created a wedding website when guests ask us questions almost everyday. : - )

If you can wear them, I like the last ones. Cute, Stylish, and Sassy. Unfortunately, my feet will be hurting 5 minutes after wearing them. You go girl!!

@@KG1990 my planning is going along pretty well. Thinking about doing my planning thread when I'm ~ 2 months out. Right now I post on November Brides 2015. Waiting for my RSVP'S to come in. I don't know why people wait until the LAST MINUTE to book their room and flights. So I still don't have a hard count yet, but I thinking it would be around the 15 -20 people count. Unfortunately, getting married on Thanksgiving worked for my fiancé and I, just didn't know the airfare was going to be over $600.00 round trip. My fiancé told me not to worry about it. We gave everyone at least at 18 months noticed with payment plans. We figured those who REALLY wanted to come will be there. Received the resort's form. Must be in 2 months prior to your wedding. My final RSVP deadline is Sept. 16th, will send their form back then.

@Jangin purchased the tote bags from the knot, their wedding shop. They had a sale where they were $9.95 + $4.95 for monograming. The robes I ordered from DH Gate for $14 each. @@malyna I am just wearing wedge flip flops. Beachy and comfortable. Will try to get more items done this weekend. ????

Oh No @@malyna!! I know that is stressful. I'm sure everything will be okay. It's a good thing you didn't wait until the very last minute. One of my friends was still getting her dress altered 2 days before her wedding.

Had a GREAT weekend!! My friends planned a surprise spa getaway weekend. They just told me to have a weekend bag together and include a swimsuit. Also to be ready at 9:00am the next day. Next thing I know, we are at a spa resort hotel getting a full body massage. Loved it!! Now, back to wedding planning. Lol. I have been very busy. Just sent out my invitations. Also, finished my Bridal Entourage gifts: tote bag, kimono robe, purple clutch purse with Jo Malone sample perfumes, wet bikini bag, shot glass, and flip flops. Finished my centerpieces. Still waiting for people to RSVP and pay for their rooms...so frustrating!! What are my other November brides doing?

Thank you So Much for your post. Getting married at SWO in a little over 3 months. Wondering is it better to tell the wedding coordinator everything I want in advance, or wait till the last minute. I want the steel drum band for the cocktail hour, but when I mentioned this she told me it was $1500. I love your cake. I thought it would just be a plain blank cake.

That is CRAZY!! I don't know what to say. If you rent the tent and it doesn't rain do you at least get some of your money back? Also, is the reception outside, maybe having a tent will give everybody some shade if it is bright and sunny outside. So it won't be so hot. I honestly don't know.. It's just CRAZY!!
