Overall, I'm super happy with how everything turned out and would definitely recommend GP! Thank you so much for the review! I am leaving in 3 days and any additional information is definitely welcome. At this point, I am in between feeling ecstatic and incredibly nervous. The reviews on here and trip advisor are either great or terrible. Thanks again for posting your review
  2. Last minute details..... Anyone flying from the US, what are you planning to do with your dress? Are you planning on calling the airline ahead of time to carry your dress on? I am getting nervous about this part!
  3. Oh My Goodness..... I will blame this on wedding brain. I did mean to post that! It is in response to jfolkes!
  4. I would definitely be up for it. I'm a very laid back bride though so your expectations may be different from mine. My wedding coordinator is Omeshia, it has been hit and miss as far as her helpfulness/responsiveness .
  5. jfolkes- we are getting married at Grand Palladium in Jamaica. Our wedding date is Nov 18. We will be there untill the 24th though. Who is your wedding coordinator?
  6. @ Wedding2014 I haven't received my veil yet but I also used abusymother to order my veil. I did a custom listing with her, just told her what I wanted and she did it with no problem. We will see what it looks like when it arrives.
  7. I just ordered my cathedral length veil from etsy.com today. I tried one on at the bridal store that was $270. I wasn't willing to pay that but found some great deals on etsy. There are veils for very reasonable prices on the website. Can't wait to receive mine. I will let you know how it turns out!
  8. We plan to celebrate our anniversary on the day of the ceremony in Jamaica.
  9. I like the barefoot sandals on the right as well!

I found this map that made it easily visible, but was curious if any of you have anything similar to this on your site? Any thoughts on if I should include a section on this? I love this map, so easy to see, read, and understand! If I were headed to Mexico, I would definitely be sharing this with my guests!
  11. @flowers Ran across this old thread and saw your price for photographer. Now that you have had your wedding, did you like your results? Who was your photographer?
  12. November 18, 2013 here! 4pm ceremony. Private reception at the Blue Lagoon after. I was told from the resort that November is a VERY popular month for weddings for them but I don't see many November brides on here.
  13. I love this picture!!!! This is one of the many reasons I want to wear a veil.... a beautiful picture by the ocean with my veil in the wind. You did it right!
  14. We plan to do the legal part at home first too. For ease in the future. I don't want it to detract at all from our DW because that is what it is all about. However, knowing my family it will be very difficult to keep this secret. I don't want the legal part to feel "special" at all. No ring exchange and no personal vows. BUT being the girly girl that I am, I have to wonder, did anyone wear anything special? I can tell you what I was wearing the day I met my FI, I can tell you what I was wearing the day he proposed. I can't help but think I might want to have something a "little special" on when we officially get married. What does/did everyone else do?
  15. Hey everyone! Joining the party a little late (better late than never). I have been reading BDW for a year now and finally decided to get in on the action. I am a November 18, 2013 bride. We are getting married at the Grand Palladium in Jamaica. Picking the resort and date was by far the hardest decision. We are currently booked for our trip from Nov 15-24. Our whole trip will be at the same resort. We would have loved to "honeymoon" somewhere else but it didn't fit in the budget. We have approximate 45 guests with 26 booked. I have my dress ordered and bridesmaid dresses purchased. You all are reminding me how much I have to do yet! Looking forward to hearing from everyone as OUR wedding month quickly approaches! Glad to be a DW bride!
