  1. First, I would like to say congrats as both of your weddings are quickly approaching. Second, can you PLEASE let me know how you liked the services from the HR salon? I am also a HR bride and I'm a little worried about my hair. I have my make-up handled but I no idea what to expect in regards to my hair.
  2. AngBN, I got my Dominican blowout yesterday and my hairdresser (who is Dominican) said I should have no problem getting a nice hairstyle. She said there are soooo many different hair textures in her country that hairdressers know how to style all hair types. She said even the stylist at the resorts would know how to style all hair types. I showed her a pic of the style I want and she said that it would be easy and attainable. I'm still going to do my homework to find a stylist I like and hopefully we can email or Skype so she can see my hair and the style I want. Hopefully, this was somewhat helpful. Lonita
  3. Thank you. We also choose the complimentary package. We have some guest attending but no wedding party. I think the complimentary package will be fine.
  4. I just wanted to say a quick thank you to those who helped in regards to my photography questions. We decided to go with HDC. I'm excited to be working with them.
  5. AnaSteele58, thank you. I have definitely thought about the storage bag as a way transporting my dress. I will make my final decision once I talk to the airline. If I'm able to carry my dress on and store it safely I'll do that but if not I will be using your co-worker's method .

  8. AngBN I don't have any information about any of the local hairdressers. However, I get Dominican blowouts from time to time from a Dominican lady in my city. I am planning on scheduling an appointment with her in the next week or two. I will be asking her if she know of any good salons in the DR and also any recommendations for my hair since she's familiar with the texture (of my hair) and the weather in the DR. I will let you and any others interested in what she has to say. Lonita
  9. Thanks for that tidbit of information KerriAnn. Hopefully, I don't run across that problem. Okay, have any of you wonderful ladies booked your hair appointments yet? I figured my make-up out but have not figured out what I will be doing in regards to my hair. Any suggestions would be wonderful. Has anyone heard anything about the salon in the resort, Moon Beauty?

  13. Are there any 2012 or early 2013 brides who have used HR's on-site photographer? If so, are you able to post any images? I am trying to decide if I will use HR's photographer or contract with any outside photographer. Any help offered would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

  15. Hello Brides, I have a quick question for those of you who have already gotten married. How did you transport your wedding dress? Does the HR allow you to have your gown shippped directly to the resort? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
  16. Hello brides, Its been a week or two since I was on here. Took a quick break b/c I wasn't sure if my finace and I were going to make HRPC happen. However, I am soooooo happy to say, we are, we did, and our wedding contract has been signed. We will be getting married Saturday April 12th at 6PM. Who are the different wedding coordinators you are working with and what has been your experience. I think I've been assigned to someone named Renee.
  17. Hello ladies, I am also a 2014 bride. My fiancee and I have not booked our resort yet. We are working with our travel agent on pricing for HRPC. I am uber excited about this resort and am optimistic my TA will be able to get our package prices this week so I can reserve our date. I am happy I found this site, it appears to be a good resource. I look forward to picking your brains, getting and sharing information. Congrats Bride
