Hi all. We are planning to get married in May 2015 - wedding location hopefully either Akumal beach or hammock location. I have been advised from thomson that some of the hotels by then may not require translation of documents! I have been advised that if they do, this can cost around £500 as we have both never been married before or been adopted or had name changes. Has anyone had to pay translation fees or not? I am from Birmingham UK. anyone from the area or even UK who has had their wedding at the Akumal please could you help/contact me Thanks Amy

Hi all As there are over 700 pages on this thread from day one I decided to shortcut and ask some questions! (that have probably already been answered a thousand time but hey ) So, me and my other half are going to be staying at the Coba and actually getting married at the beach at the Akumal. We have opted for the 'unforgettable' package by thomson which says 'decorated location' does anyone know if you get to chose the colours? or is it all standard white? our theme is purple so would really like to see some purple in there!! also package states it comes wth a boquet for the bride. could i request purple and white flowers or do u think it will be a standard 'tropical' boquet? finally, what is the beach like? And photographs! in this package we get 15 of them, do they come printed or are they all on a cd? can you add effects or anything like that??? I would love to see any pictures you guys have, especially decorated beach scenes! I live in Birmingham UK so if anyone else has booked through thomson / perfect weddings abroad I would love to hear your experiences. Thanks x x x
