Great idea to bring your own speaker... never even thought of that. I have the big jambox and it works great. But might look for something even bigger and better, then in the end we get to keep it too so it would be worth the investment. As far as the trash the dress session... I am actually getting a second dress... a fun beachy one that would look great in and out of the water (something cheap or on sale that doesn't need altered). We are having an at home reception so I definitely don't want to trash my real dress.

I'm under the impression that the included package only includes the ceremony and pictures on the beach afterwards. Approx. 1 hour and only 24 photos. I also have the Divine package and do not think this is enough. I can't justify spending $3000 for an outside photographer either so I have added on the Number 2 package (3 hours of photography) for about $1000 to my package, this will include getting ready, ceremony, pictures on beach, and cocktail hour. Then I'm using my included package in the divine for a trash the dress session.

I was told we would have to buy day passes for guests staying at Now Sapphire and it was a 14 minute cab ride?

We are 100 days out!!! We did not reserve rooms and now I have about a dozen people left to book and the resort is full!!! Anyone else have this problem???

Excursions.... Any recommendations for a private charter boat? I was in Riviera Maya at Dreams 2 years ago and we rented a boat that went out of Puerto Morelos . It was amazing but I don't know who it was through. We have about 60 people to fit on the boat so it is limiting. We are looking for a morning boat that includes drinks and lunch (either on the boat or back on land).

Would any past brides with over 50 guests please share their final expenses or bill break down? I am confused at what all cost more for over 25 people with the Divine package, or if people handled it a different way. We are having almost 75 guests and very torn on what to do for the reception/dinner.

Past brides.... has anyone had their reception on the beach? What did this involve? What did you do for food? Dance floor? Etc??

I hadn't heard of the beach BBQ option for $30/person? That wouldn't be a bad idea. Much better than the $70/person and we would still get to eat together.

I have an excel worksheet that Pilar gave me for the cost breakdown for extra people. We are having 75 people and having a hard time deciding what to do for dinner. It's seems crazy to pay an additional $3000 for the rest of the guests over 25 to eat at an all inclusive resort. We are thinking about putting the money we would spend on dinner towards an all inclusive party boat instead where people would much rather have the $70/person spent. What are other people's thoughts? I can email the spreadsheet to anyone else that would like to see it. We are getting married November 6th and having the same problem with a large group and the crazy extra charges. I was not told that we had to do buffet, you can choose a menu like anyone else.

Anyone have orange-grey colors or starfish theme looking to sell any decorations? Or have pictures of how they set up the space? What are people with large groups doing about dinner? We have about 80 people. Is everyone just paying the outrageous ~$75 more per person over 25 or are there other alternatives? Can people provide their schedule of the days activities? I'm looking for a party boat excursion that holds at least 50 people? Did past brides have a suggestion? I do not want to have to go all the way to Cancun and that is all I can find at this time. Did anyone have the free welcome cocktail party and have over 25 people? Did you pay for the extra people or just have them show up since it's just held in a sectioned off part of the lobby?

I have the same question about the hotel photographer. How much is it to upgrade since part of it is already available?

What photos are included in the Divine Wedding Package? The Wedding Guide says 24 Color Photos Taken during the ceremony. Does it not include any taken afterwards on the beach of family / wedding party? Also, the standard photo package 2 includes three hours of coverage (getting ready, ceremony, photo session, and cocktail party) for $950. Does anyone know how much it is if you are adding it on to the divine package since the ceremony is already included? Did anyone purchases the standard photo package and then use the included photography for trash the dress? I don't want to pay $3000 for outside photographers but I want more than just the ceremony photographed.

Here's the quote I received from Del Sol - 5 hour package, includes getting ready, ceremony, cocktails, sunset portraits, dinner/toasts, & reception. This includes a main photographer and an assistant. There are 5 different photographers, they range from $2500-$5000. Trash the dress sessions range from $3500-$5000.

I hit the 200 day work and wanted to find out who else will be at Now Jade when I will be? My wedding is set for November 6th!! I will be there November 4th-11th! How did people handle RSVPs for their destination wedding? When did you send out invites? We are having a home reception too and inviting all our guests to both. Destination Wedding - Nov 6th (need final guest count by Sept 10). Home Reception - Jan 24 (need final guest count by Jan 5). I only one to do one invite for both but 2 separate RSVPs (one by email one by mail). When should I send out my invites??

When I booked there was a special on the website stating that they were offering free welcome receptions. I sent an email to our WC to confirm and have proof in email that she said I qualified. Right now the wedding special is.... Ready to Wed - book by April 30th and get $500 credit to spend on your wedding extras.

Did any past brides have the complimentary welcome reception? I have mine set for the first night and there is a charge of like $20 a person for anyone over 25 people. I believe this is just in the lobby bar, how strict are they if you have extra people? For those who had an at home reception and your destination wedding, how did you handle your invites, the rsvp's and the wording? We are inviting all our guests to both locations... 300 people, knowing only about 80 are going to Mexico. I need an RSVP for both events, the destination wedding in November and the home reception in January.

Does anyone have examples of how they worded the invitations?? We already sent out save the dates with a link to our website which explains all the booking information. We are having the destination wedding in November and an at home celebration in January. I just want to do one invitation mailing. I was thinking people could RSVP for the destination wedding through a special wedding email we set up, then RSVP for the home celebration with a typical RSVP card. THOUGHTS??!

We have most our guests booking through bookit.com because it is about $400 cheaper a person than the Travel Agent so I'm guessing we will not get any money back. If anyone hears of the resort giving credit back please share.

Who do u get refund from? Travel agent or resort?? I haven't heard anything about this.

We are up to 46 booked, at least 22 more booking for sure!!! I don't know what we are going to do about the dinner. The costs sky rocket after 25!!! We are considering doing family/bridal party only dinner then pay for everyone to go on a private catamaran tour. I'm sure our guests would rather have an excursion paid for them than a dinner.
