  1. We had 73 guests including us, we had no problem fitting in the bamboo room. Had 7 tables of about 9-11 each, 3 tables on one side and 4 on the other, with the dj and bar in different corners.. and still had plenty of space to dance! I think 8 tables might be getting a little tight but still manageable, not sure why they are telling you otherwise now! Good luck! There is wifi in the rooms on the preferred side, but it is very spotty.. also great wifi in the preferred lounge and in the main lobby. As far as texting, you'd probably get international charges unless you are on wifi on the iphones.. check out Viber app.. its an international texting app with no additional charges
  2. Sorry ladies, they have been sold and shipped out as of last week!
  3. The limit is only for gifts.. to be on the safe side I had packed receipts with the big item stuff (chair bows, center piece, gift bags, vases) and I also dispersed it among our parents and wedding party. No one got questioned or 'detained'.. I don't think they actually take the time to count up your spending and make sure its under $300.. just watch what u write on the declaration forms, they look at that more.
  4. I have 77 total (12 new, 65 used) CORAL satin chair sashes (8x108). The used ones just would need ironing or dry cleaners, but they are folded nicely to avoid too many wrinkles. PM if still interested! Thanks and happy planning!

  11. @@Meg32IL That is super frustrating! I was dealing with Pilar for a year leading up to our wedding.. and all of a sudden within 30 days of wedding I started getting responses from 2 other coordinators. I had our travel agent email with complaints, and no one really gave us a reason on who was my 'official' coordinator or why they kept switching off. I would just send them a question asking who will be your coordinator the day of ur wedding so u know who you're questions/concerns are directed towards. Pilar was always slow to respond to my emails, Ariadna would respond within a day, especially the last few weeks before our date! Good luck! If its been over 2 weeks you should email her again.. I believe we got a prelim 'quote' sheet within few days of sending in our planning packet. I believe she would meet with you the next day of your arrival, or the day before ur wedding date (depending on how many days u arrive before your wedding day). Our private transfer was only for us 2, and although it was an SUV, our 3 suitcases and my dress took up the whole car. Hope this helps a little!
  12. @@Meg32IL I replied to your question on the previous page... for some reason it wasn't letting me quote you earlier
  13. @Meg32IL depending on what you get extra of (appetizers, toast, cake, extra reception hour) you're looking at $60-80 per person beyond 25 count. Extra chair set up was $5/chair and dinner was I think $53pp on top of 25people. Hope this helps
  14. Questions for the past brides! 1. How much did you tip the WC/photographer/DJ? Is it still appropriate to tip 15-20% of the total cost of the package/price? 2. Was there "top shelf" liquor for the Divine package? What kind of vodka/cognac/tequila was included/served? 3. For anyone who used the photo booth, did you bring your own props or does it come with a lot of options? Thanks in advance for any advice and tips!!
  15. @@rachelia160 Congrats on the book! My wedding is this June and I sent out STD last September... just to give ppl enough time to plan for vaca time or any other trips they may have

I'm not able to open the attachments.. any chance you can email those out to me please? [email protected] Thanks in advance!
  17. Has anyone used the photo booth rental? Any feedback on it? (the time used during the reception/cocktail hour or the props) Thanks!
  18. Congrats to all the recently married brides!! And huge thank you for the detailed reviews, very helpful! Can someone please explain the $300 limit at customs for gifts? Do all the décor (chair bows, lanterns, anything else) count into this total? Or is that only for the welcome bag gifts? And do they actually check every single receipt?? Thanks!!

How's the planning coming along? It's coming slowly! Got the big stuff booked/bought! Now just picking out invites.. it seems soo far away still but I'm sure the next 7 month will fly by in no time

That would include dinner, drinks, cocktail hour, cake, Champaign toast, and chair. That's a rough estimate! I'm hoping its actually smaller than that! Does anyone know if they have kids meal options?? We have about 4-5 kids that are under 6 so I'm hoping not to pay a full adult price for them
