I do stalk TripAdvisor as well!! It sounds like the resort is nothing short of amazing. Really not worried. Just hoping there's not a lot of hammering/drilling/sawing during the ceremony either! Haha!! After all, it's not as if we can change it, so I'll just go with the flow! But I am still hoping for the gazebo vs. the beach. I'll scope it out when we get there. When are you arriving? We fly in April 30th and are staying until May 10th. We have 16 guests coming, but 6 of them are staying at another resort. Perhaps I'll see you there!!

We also chose the gazebo, as I'm not much of a sand person. Our wedding is at 3:00pm. We chose the Spice Terrace as our dinner restaurant and the X-Lounge for cocktail hour. I am working with Andrea (was previously working with Llenny before she left). Are you also getting married on the 2nd? Curious as to why I have not heard about these construction "issues". What are your preferences for dinner/cocktail hour and what time is your wedding?

Yikes!! I'm getting married two weeks from today and I have yet to hear about this relocation due to construction issues. Where you planning on getting married in the gazebo or the beach?

Anyone planning on tipping your wedding coordinator, bartenders, servers, minister, etc.? If so, how much do you think is appropriate?

Hi Sandy! Andrea (the wedding planner that took over for Llenny) is great! My wedding is May 2, 2014. I pretty much finalized most of my options with Llenny before she left so I was a bit nervous when I heard she had a replacement. Andrea seems very organized as well and all of the options that were decided on with Llenny were passed on with Andrea. I will email you the options I was given. For reference, I am having a symbolic ceremony and chose the Excellence of Love Wedding Package. Please let me know if you have further questions.

I was wondering why Llenny hasn't returned any of my emails! I figured something must have been up! Does anyone have the email of the new planner? I have been emailing Llenny and I get an automatic response saying someone will respond within 24-48 hours, but no one ever does.

Just curious as to what has everyone been told about fees for those wedding guests that are staying at another resort? I was told it is an $80 fee and guests are allowed to arrive one hour prior to the ceremony, and must leave at the end of the reception. Problem is, I think my parents and sisters are going to be staying at another resort and I'd really like them to help me get ready on my special day. Has anyone else inquired about a possibility of guests being able to arrive earlier? I inquired via email, but am waiting for a response.

Has anyone used the mariachi band? Do they only play Mexican music, or can you request American songs?

I am having a symbolic wedding and I was sent the script that Minister Roxana Fernandez uses. I'm not sure the legal ceremony uses the same script though. I cannot post attachments onto the board, but if you attach your email, I can send it to you!
