Mexico or Dominican Republic?
JenniferM replied to Carlicardenas's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
We chose Mexico for a few reasons: Cheaper plane tickets My family had been to DR and Mexico and always enjoyed the food in Mexico more His extended family loves Mexico Lots of AI options Lots of things to do offsite of the AI Second largest barrier reef in the world Riviera Maya is considered very safe Mayan ruins (one of the seven wonders of the world) In the end I think it all goes to personal preference. We were looking for lots of excursions and things to do outside of the resort while still being able to stay at the resort and have a good time if we wanted to. From what I read Mexico is great for this whereas the DR doesn't offer as much offsite but offers quite a bit (maybe even at a lesser price) at the resort. Hope this helps! I am having a catholic wedding so i am finding Mexico to have the most chapels in resorts? Any suggestions? -
I'll definitely keep you posted. Also has anyone had a reception on the pier thingy or know anything about it? I keep seeing pictures but I don't know the name or have any details about it. Awesome thank you Murmel! Quote: Originally Posted by murmel The event is the cost of the food. (if you rent or purchase items from them directly then it is just that fee, no additional setup) This fee is decided by the local wedding coordinator on site, and usually will vary by the amount of work that is required to place all your decor and the number of guests. (but a good rule of thumb is plan for about $5/person....and usually the maximum has been about $250)

Also I've found on ebay a very nice seller dreampartycreation I ordered chair bows from them( very nice quality, love them); they also have a nice selection of organza bolts. However, their bolts are 50" wide((( Hope this helps)

This is such a great idea! I've already been trying to convince people but this is perfect. Thanks! I found this map that made it easily visible, but was curious if any of you have anything similar to this on your site? Any thoughts on if I should include a section on this?

Awesome! You are such a huge help thank you so much Quote: Originally Posted by elissae Yes, my guests used the chapstick & loved the idea of it! I used Avery #18863 - 2" x 4" Clear Shipping Labels. I did not want the ink to smudge on the label. Especially if using them on the beach or by the pool with wet/suntan lotion hands!! Here is the template I used.
