  1. We chose Mexico for a few reasons: Cheaper plane tickets My family had been to DR and Mexico and always enjoyed the food in Mexico more His extended family loves Mexico Lots of AI options Lots of things to do offsite of the AI Second largest barrier reef in the world Riviera Maya is considered very safe Mayan ruins (one of the seven wonders of the world) In the end I think it all goes to personal preference. We were looking for lots of excursions and things to do outside of the resort while still being able to stay at the resort and have a good time if we wanted to. From what I read Mexico is great for this whereas the DR doesn't offer as much offsite but offers quite a bit (maybe even at a lesser price) at the resort. Hope this helps! I am having a catholic wedding so i am finding Mexico to have the most chapels in resorts? Any suggestions?
  2. I'll definitely keep you posted. Also has anyone had a reception on the pier thingy or know anything about it? I keep seeing pictures but I don't know the name or have any details about it. 5. Does anyone know for the BBQ menu that is offered for private events, are all of the items listed included or is it pick and choose? So for example will we need to choose to meats and two veggies, etc.
  6. Someone mentioned that they used glow in the dark mugs. Does anyone know where I could find glow in the dark insulated cups with straws? I think these would be soo cool

  8. Awesome thank you Murmel! Quote: Originally Posted by murmel The event is the cost of the food. (but a good rule of thumb is plan for about $5/person....and usually the maximum has been about $250)
  9. Does anyone know if there are additional costs for private events other than the food itself? Is there a setup pp fee, a flat private event fee, or something of that nature? We're trying to get a better idea of what costs will be.

  11. I saw somewhere that there's a way around the 150 posts. I think you can purchase that level or something. Does anyone know how much that costs?
  12. These are all great ideas! For everyone that did the OOT bags, were your guests okay with that after the reception? Or did they seem disappointed receiving everything the first day? Thanks!

Also I've found on ebay a very nice seller dreampartycreation I ordered chair bows from them( very nice quality, love them); they also have a nice selection of organza bolts. 17. This is such a great idea! I've already been trying to convince people but this is perfect. Thanks!
