  1. I just asked the wedding planner and she said as long as it's in my room it'll be $70 for the make up artist and $70 for the hair stylist!
  2. I keep posting on this forum which is helping me get there faster!

  4. I'm booking her this weekend for my November 2014 wedding and she's coming to my room at the resort to do her magic! I have to pay the resort $70 not the $450 vendor fee which is good!
  5. We're doing white sheer fabric as well! Want to keep it simple!
  6. Morning Bee! I’d be curious to know if we have to pay for each adult even though they don’t drink! I have a few non-drinkers in my group as well! I did ask Laura if they charge for setting up décor we bring from home and she said generally they don’t – but if they did, it wouldn’t be more than $250. I would suggest getting quotes for everything! That’s what I’m doing (including flowers) and once I have pricing I’ll decide! Doesn’t hurt to get a quote so that at least you know! I’m getting quotes on roses and hydrangeas – I sent pictures and a detailed list of what I was looking for - should hear back next week! I wish that 90 page document came with pricing! I think it’s silly not to have at least approx. prices on each page – just means EVERY bride is going to inquire! You could also do buffet style – Chris and I are still considering this! The cost for some of the buffet options is much more economical! Chris really wants a served dinner BUT who doesn’t like a buffet? LOL We’re put down for surf and turf but that’s not 100% yet PLUS Laura told me she can’t guarantee the lobster until we’re closer to the date….so much to think about! That’s crazy about the welcome bags! $43!! What does it include??? Geez!! Not sure what I’m doing yet for welcome bags…probably bringing them from home though! Every week I get prices on different things and add them to my excel file…as I get closer I’ll be dropping things for sure! But I can’t make a decision on everything until I have prices on everything! At least that’s how I’m planning this wedding! We have a strict budget and I don’t want to go over it! I just got revised docs from Laura last week – what’s your email address again? I can send them to you! Keep me posted on your plans! Pam <3
  7. I think 3 is kinda early! We're getting married at 4:30!
  8. I know you're right about photography! Your pictures are so stunning! He's obviously very talented!
  9. Thank you so much for sharing! Wishing you all the best! <3
  10. Hey! Yes she recommended someone - Rochelle - hairbychellz But I can't find anything on here about her! Loni recommended her so I can only trust she's good! And yes Loni is doing airbrush make up for us!
  11. Morning ladies, I received more info from Laura! Here’s some other questions I’ve asked her: Do we have to pay the $300 private event fee twice for the wedding ceremony and reception? NO – there is no fee for the ceremony setup. Just the reception. Can you tell me if the spa at the royalton does airbrush makeup? They do not. If I wanted to host a dinner at Zen – could they hold us? If not, what the max they'll reserve for? No they can’t. The most we can do is a reservation for 8. For the wedding reception - I will need dinner for one photographer and two videographers…..plus the DJ – do you set up a table for them? Four men total….We can have a vendor table yes. We can offer a vendor meal instead for them. Vendor meals we can do just an entree for even - $20 USD per person if you would like! On the beach, what would you recommend for lighting? And how much? I would appreciate recommendations and photos if you can. I honestly don’t know what to do regarding lighting! I don’t have any photos right now, BUT I would recommend wrapping the palm trees in twinkle lights at $65 USD per tree and then you can do white lanterns like the following around the area for $30 USD each. I’ve attached the photo ladies – it’s flipping ridiculous! $30 EACH! :S We’ll definitely be going with a DJ. Does your DJ have a website I can check out? And can you confirm the price? The wedding guide has 2 different prices – one under Entertainment and one under Equipment rentals. I’m looking for 6pm to 11pm. The accurate price is $220 USD per hour. I have had this updated in our guide, my apologies for the error. In regards to the DJ, this is the vendor that we use: http://jamaicaweddingdj.com/ For cocktail and reception - What is included with set up in terms of table linens and napkins? Is anything included? Cocktail: small cocktail tables with white linens included. Reception: Rounds seating 8 with white linens + white garden chairs. I also asked her for the Spa Price List – I’ve attached it plus the lantern photo – still can’t believe those are $30 each to rent! Hope this helps some of you! Share any info you can! We all appreciate it! <3 Pam The Royal SPA Menu.pdf
  12. Hi Bee! Another bride on here that recently got married offered a few tips and advice and one of the things she wrote was to definitely negotiate a bit! I’ve tried with Laura and so far have gotten $5 off LOL so instead of paying $87per person for food and open bar I’m paying $82. My date was changed because of an error with the Royalton which is a huge deal to me – I had already sent out save the dates, my guests were booked in and the website was up and you think they would’ve offered me something for the inconvenience but they didn’t! :S I looked into many resorts before booking the Royalton and I honestly didn’t feel Mexico was cheaper! Yeah outdoor receptions have to end at 11pm which really sucks! Chris and I did think about moving the party to the ballroom from 11pm to 2am for example but then we would’ve had to pay $10 per person per hour for open bar plus moving the DJ, etc. So we’ve decided to end it at 11pm and ask our guests to join us for an afterparty at the Sports Bar! I know you can’t plan until June but I’ve started an excel file (I’m a marketing analyst) so this is normal for me LOL to track costs and stuff. Here’s what I’m doing: As part of the Free Package you get 10 people included for a semi-private at one of the a la cartes. Important Note: Laura told me that only the Italian could seat my 53 guests. The steakhouse and Zen could not seat a party of that size SO make sure you ask Laura if the Italian can even fit your 90 guests! So we’re doing the Rehearsal Dinner at Italian a la carte - 10 people are included as part of the Free Package after that I have to pay $20 per person so $20 x 43 people. Wedding Ceremony, Cocktail and Reception - Private Event on the beach We're doing 4 hours of open bar that's $10 per person per hour = $40 plus Surf and Turf dinner which includes 2 hours of open bar at $47 per person = $87 per person for our wedding drinks and dinner. BUT Laura has given me a $5 discount so $82per person. Bee, my honest opinion is don’t go with any of the packages that you have to pay for – they’re just not worth it for a group your size! 90 people is a lot! I would go with the Free Package and add from there – I’ve done the math for both options and for my group of 53 it was more cost effective to do the Free Package and add on after that! Hope this helps! <3 Pam
  13. Can you share your photos and/or video??? Thanks! That's amazing! A home in Jamaica - I would love that! <3 Maybe one day...
  14. Hope so! The important thing is to get married to my best friend! <3 cheesy I know LOL BTW I purchased the 1st dress I tried on! <3 It was 'the one' !!
  15. I think the packages work really well for a max guest list of 35 people AND if you want your semi-private reception at an a la carte. My fiance and I are having a private beach ceremony and reception which is why it costs so much more! So we're paying $100 a person! That doesn't include, photography, flowers, and things like a steel drum band, dance floor, etc! It really adds up! I just think it's silly to pay for alcohol when we're at an all inclusive! :S Hey hun! So happy you're saving money by going with an external photographer! Yes, I did - here you go! Basic $1,800 3 hours on location Min 200 photos Classic $2,600 Coverage - getting ready to reception close DVD - min 300 images Photo retouch Online Gallery Deluxe $3,500 Coverage - getting ready to reception close - two photographers DVD - min 500 images Flush mount album Photo retouch Online Gallery
