That is so funny... I just came on to post how much I loved Adventure Photos for my wedding and I see that you have a copy of my trash the dress shoot! We are so happy that we chose Now Jade. We had the Divine package and 34 guests. We used adventure photos for the complete wedding package that included the trash the dress shoot. Our photos came our amazing! Fernanda was our photographer and she was great! Don't worry about reviews on Trip Advisor. All of our guests had an amazing time and said that this resort was better than many others in Cancun/ Riviera Maya. I will try to post an entire review at some point. We just got back yesterday and still trying to get down from cloud 9. One more thing to add- After the trash the dress shoot (rolling in the sand/ swimming in the pool/ etc) my dress was cleaner than it was after the reception! I wouldn't worry about "ruining your dress" from the TTD shoot. Mine came out cleaner! LOL and after a dry cleaning I think it will be in perfect condition!

I leave in 2 days! wohoo For the ceremony we are using our Ipod and have only 2 songs playing prior to the song that the bridal party wants down to. Does anyone know how soon the guests start to be seated? Our ceremony is at 4 PM. Do I need to add more songs to that list? Does one of the wedding coordinators play the ipod or do I need to have a guest switch the songs? Thx!

We are having Fernanda be our photographer for the day. Has anyone used her? Does anyone know what the airport transportation is in the Devine package? - Taxi? Bus? Shuttle? And is it private? Do you know if the resort will be able to give us the room numbers of our guests so we can deliver our own OOT Bags? Or do you all plan on having the resort deliver them? I hope everything makes it there in one piece!

I have getting married on February 8th, 2014 and have chosen the Devine package. We are addition the resort photographer for the complete wedding package that includes the trash the dress shoot and the entire day of the wedding. We are doing a "Pink a Colada" Coconut Rum, pineapple juice, cranberry juice, and coconut water- so yummy and not too sweet!

Another question- What are people using for their "musician" for the music that is included in the devine package? And are you using them for the ceremony or the cocktail hour? I thought there was a caribbean trio but now I don't see that option.

Has anyone heard from Pilar lately? I have emailed several times over the past 3 weeks and haven't gotten any responses. Is there someone else I should be emailing? Maybe some of you ladies and answer some of my questions! 1. Do we need to reserve the DJ now? We would like a DJ for the bamboo reception. Are there different DJs to chose from or does the resort only have one? 2. For the photography, I know the divine package does include a photographer. We do want to add on to the included package. Do we need to contact Adventure photos ourselves to reserve them for the day? Do we contact them to book the trash the dress shoot? 3. For the symbolic ceremony, is there a general script that is followed or do we need to write our own? Can you please email me a copy of the script if there is one? 4. What time and where will our welcome cocktail be at on February 7th? (save the date promotion) And do we get to pick the appetizers? 6. Is there an added fee for a "signature drink" during the cocktail hour? 7. When is the appropriate time to book spa services? Do we go through you or through the resport? 8. Yea, I am currently using the sample bag I ordered as a gym bag and it has held up nicely! I will definitely try the dollar store for the tumblers. Not quite sure how I will get them down but I'm sure we will figure it out! Did most people bring their own linens and chair ties? I've read some reviews that stated people brought their own and it was less expensive- where are they buying them from? Where did people buy the hanging ball type lights that others have hung from the ceiling in the bamboo room? Did they have actual lights in them or does the ceiling lights light them up? So many things to start thinking about...!

For the guest OOT bag- I ordered a sample canvas tote bag from Vista Print and it was good quality and you can have any sort of design or image printed on the front. It was also really inexpensive! I bought several groupon deals for vistaprint where I paid $30 for $70 worth of product and they were also having an online sale so I was able to order each bag for less than $5. I think they normally run around $15-18 per bag. I am looking to order plastic tumbler type cups for guests to be able to refill drinks/ etc in their own glass (and be able to have larger drinks!). Has anyone bought these for their OOT bags? If so... where did you find them? I was hoping to be able to have each one personalized if possible.

Hi ladies! I am getting married at Now Jade on February 8th, 2014 with the Devine package. I have confirmed my date and times and I'm not sure what else I have to do until I turn in the paperwork 45 days before... We are planning on getting a DJ for the reception in the Bamboo room- do we need to arrange this ourselves? Does the resort have a DJ they always use or do we need to find one? Will Pilar book them or do I need to contact them separately? Same thing for the photographer. We plan on upgrading the photography to include 3 hours of coverage and a trash the dress shoot. Do I need to schedule this or will Pilar? Another question- for the hair/makeup- does that need to be scheduled now or do I just figure that out once I get to the resort? Our ceremony is at 4:30 PM... what time do you guys recommend getting hair and makeup done? Thanks for all your help here on the forum!

I have been comparing prices from bookit, expedia and the group rates from my travel agent. When doing an airfare+room it always comes up cheaper on both bookit and expedia. However, my travel agent said she can price match on online fares but then we won't be able to book as a group. What has everyone else done? What is the best group rates that you all have received through the travel agent. We were told that for a tropical room- non-preferred- we could get $162 per perpson per night. Also- for people that have already been there, did you get upgraded on your room? We can't decided if to just book a less expensive room for ourselves and hope we get upgraded, or just go ahead and pay for more expensive room now...?

Oh wow.. I definitely never saw any of these photos. In fact, I never get got a wedding brochure! Had you been to the resort to do a site visit prior to picking Now Jade? I like the relaxed modern feel of the orange room. I'm not really sure what the Mixed Beach Bar looks like either- just the few photos from the online forum people have picked.

Do you have any photos of the orange lounge? I haven't even heard of that! Sounds nice though. Is the bamboo room completed indoors? From my understanding Castaways is sort of indoor/outdoor... right? Still no email from Pillar...! Keeping fingers crossed!

Hi there everyone! I "think" I'm getting married at Now Jade on February 8th, 2014... I was told it was available and I gave her my credit card auth and all of the forms, but I have yet to hear from Pilar. Does she send something once she receives the credit auth form? Now I'm getting worried!

Hi everyone! I just found this site and love all of the great ideas! It's good to know that other people have had a hard time getting responses from Pilar. After a few weeks, we finally found out our date is available! (February 8th, 2014) I filled out all of the credit card auth forms a few days ago- but still haven't heard anything from her. Has anyone else had this problem/ or heard from her this week? I want to start getting "save the dates" ready but I want to know we have that date for sure.
