I'd like to definitely compare what the resort is offering with Innovart's prices. Feel free to send me a private message if you'd like. Also, was your reception held at castaways? Where was your cocktail hour held? And lastly, what was your timeline of events (what time was the ceremony, cocktail hr, dinner, dancing?)? I hope I'm not being obnoxious!

My confirmation email stated that the exchange rate from Dominican pesos to USD is 41:1. So a violinist would cost about $10 USD for a 1 hour set. I'm not sure if that right (haha) but I'll check with my wedding coordinator anyway! Photography: This has been a frequent question on all the NOW Larimar threads! The list of addtional services that I received when I made my wedding deposit stated "Outside Photographer fee: US$ 500.00 per person /day (do not includes food, beverage or any other service)". I don't think you can get around this even if your friend is staying there unfortunately. I think this is extremely high though! My fiance and I are thinking we will stick with the resort photographer because they're included, but I must admit I'm a bit nervous! I hope this helps!

Marbear that's awesome! I'm having my ceremony August 30, 2014 @ 4pm at the fountain! It looked so pretty from the videos and photos I've seen. I'm up in the air regarding the reception though; we haven't started booking rooms yet but as our guests are receiving the Save the Dates, they're getting very excited, and now we're anticipating closer to 70 guests instead of the 40 we thought we'd have! Because of the large size of our group, I know some areas are already off the list. I'm considering the ballroom but I haven't seen any good pictures of the space. I also thought about the nightclub; they have a nice terrace but I don't want my guests to be deathly hot while eating and dancing! Did you decide on any other details? Like photographer, DJ or excursions? I'm so excited for you!

Finally! I got a reply from NOW confirming the availability of 8/30/2014 for a symbolic ceremony! I'm so pumped. Thanks Mrs Smith for the info! I got the info from Majestic and I see the buffet option. So since noire doing semi private does that mean noire going with the option to have a reserved space in a restaurant for your group? Which restaurant did u choose?

We're probably going to have between 50 and 60, most if not all of them will stay at the resort. As a business owner I'd be responding to emails constantly to get the amount of people we're bringing. I've started to look at other possible locations just in case. I'm not a last minute person.

Congrats to all the brides-to-be! I'm currently in the process of still choosing a resort to get married at and Majestic Elegance is one of them. I saw that someone posted that the buffet is the only option for a private dinner? There isn't any way to get a plated option? Also does anyone have a price listing for reserving the different reception areas (restaurants, ballrooms, parrot bar)? Thanks for your help and good luck planning!

Yes amberk90!!! Its been 2 weeks since my travel agent contacted them and they haven't gotten back to her. I tried myself about 4 or 5 days ago and haven't heard anything! And I just wanted to confirm August 30 was available for next year. It's pretty annoying.

We won't need judge services since we're gonna do the legal stuff here in the states, but I'm bringing about 50 ppl and just want to reserve the spaces! Hey Kacey. My travel agent did tell me she was having the same problem. Something about the WC having issues with her computer. She called them today and that's what she was told, but she originally sent in my request last week. So yes it's taking forever!

Hello everyone! I'm new to the site and first off wanted to say congratulations to all of the past and future brides! I'm planning on getting married August 30, 2014 and was looking into the Iberostar Bavaro. I liked what I saw online but the pricing wasn't available. I was just curious about the types of packages you all got and if you got any upgrades (or if you would definitely recommend an upgrade)? Were you married on the beach or in a gazebo? How was your DJ and photographer? I'm expecting 50 people and it's hard to get a price point for things when you're charged a few bucks per extra person for each little thing! LOL.

Hi! I'm a bride-to-be and have been engaged for about 4 weeks now! My fiance and I want to do a destination wedding to save costs (we're in Chicago and it's super expensive!) and have decided Punta Cana is different, exotic and our families have never been. We plan on getting married August 30, 2014 and are considering either Iberostar, NOW Larimar and the Excellence.
