  1. @@OctoberBride2014 No problem! They are actually clear ID Badge Holders that I got off of eBay. They have a Ziploc top closure. I got 100 for $15. Then I bought the bungie key ring cords to attach to them so the guests can keep them around their wrists as they're walking around. I'll try to figure out how to attach a picture!
  2. @@Lydia1120 Hey! Back again! Thanks for the items you sent! I saw the remaining pics and wanted to know if you still had: all 12 OOT bags, the bride to be sash, the roll of stickers and the bachelorette veil? If so can u msg me the total cost with shipping!
  3. @@OctoberBride2014 Congrats and welcome to the forum! I am making OOT bags for our guests. They'll be very simple: 1 bag per room and inside I'll have goodies for each guest in the room. This is including a 16oz tumbler, a room key holder w/ bungie key ring, puzzle book, pens and hand sanitizer. I'm also thinking about including a schedule of events for the wedding day, and putting a list of facts and things to do in Punta Cana. I think my TA is going to give the guests a welcome packet after all payments have been made in full for the rooms, so I'm waiting to make sure I don't duplicate anything she's sending out.
  4. @@Danamarielouise After I found out who my coordinator was (which was listed in the date/time confirmation email), I emailed her as soon as I received it just to introduce myself and ask some questions. She sent me a response the next day with answers to my questions and a spreadsheet detailing the cost for additional items.
  5. @@MrandMrsBonitto2016 I know right?! We thought 40 people would be awesome, and that number doubled before the invitations have even been sent! And I don't mind you asking about the pricing; in fact the prices are in the Wedding Guide on Now Larimar's website and haven't changed per the spreadsheet my WC sent me. The price for each additional person varies on the type of menu you choose from (Platinum, Silver or Gold). With the Divine Pkg comes the Platinum menu, so it's $40/pp + taxes for a sit-down dinner and $55/pp + taxes for buffet for each person over the 25 (Kids menu is $16 + taxes).
  6. @@MrandMrsBonitto2016 I know how you feel! As soon as I got engaged in mid-May 2013, I had a TA helping me out in mid-June! I looked for a TA early because we needed help in deciding what resort was best for us. We already had the destination in mind but there are soooo many resorts in the Dominican Republic to choose from. We know pricing for the rooms and wedding pricing were our main worries, so we had them do the research and contact resorts that we were thinking about, and tell us the price the resorts were willing to give our group. I'd say it doesn't hurt to shop around now for one because it could take some time (it took me a few weeks).
  7. @@MrandMrsBonitto2016 I picked the ballroom for my reception. It's air conditioned. LOL. And private. I'd considered the nightclub, but it was confirmed that the latest our reception could last was until 9:30pm since it opens for guests around 10:30pm. And I didn't want to pay extra to rent out a restaurant location. PLUS we now have close to 80 people going, so reserving a "spot" in another restaurant was not ideal. If, and only if, the weather is not steamy in August (which I doubt!), I would consider a beach or poolside reception. Then again my party may be too big for those locations!
  8. @@Jahanee Conner My TA actually started out working with Now on different types of room prices and promotions. She sent me a spreadsheet with the different types of rooms and nightly rates for my group. I ultimately signed an agreement in August last year to book at least 6 rooms with the promotion of "book 5 rooms and get the 6th one free", where the "free" room credit will go towards my account. I decided that we were safe with reserving 20 rooms, which included a combination of Deluxe Tropical View and Preferred Tropical View Rooms. Those filled up after a few months, so I talked with my TA about reserving more. Now because I signed a contract and reserved only 20 rooms at a specific rate, I was not guaranteed that the additional rooms I wanted to reserve would be at the same rate. But my TA contacted the resort and got me more rooms and was able to keep the same room price that I'd reserved months before! This was awesome to me because I know that the closer you get to a travel date the more expensive the rooms become. The resort could have charged premium rates for last minute guests but I secured more rooms at the group rate I got last August! Hope this explains more!
  9. @@DominicanBride2015 Congrats on the upcoming wedding! This site has been so helpful in wedding planning! Just to give my input, I chose to have my ceremony at the Fountain instead of the beach because I wanted to be outside but have an intimate and private setting; I didn't want someone wandering by half naked in the middle of my ceremony and pictures! LOL. My wedding is at 4pm and I chose that time to make sure of enough daylight and time for pics (my reception starts at 7pm). I'd check what the average weather is like during January too; if it's super windy you could consider other reception venues besides the beach (i.e. Eclipse Nightclub is half open but covered, renting a restaurant or a ballroom with A/C). I know it's a lot to take in and we've all been there! Hope this helps! @@Jolisa2015 Congrats to you and welcome to the forum! I am personally sending out formal invites (even though I basically have a rooming list of who's all coming). My invitation are beachy and fun though; I ordered them from magnetstreet.com and I have a starfish theme. My fiance and I decided to send out the invites as kind of a "reminder" to our guests about the deadline to book and pay for rooms. Plus we are having a local reception about a month after we get back, so we need a RSVP for how many people are coming to that! Hope this helps!
  10. @@MrandMrsBonitto2016 Sure do! $100 down to reserve the room and the remaining balance due 75 days before their travel date. My travel agent will email reminders to everyone about 2 weeks before that deadline. Airfare is due in full though if the guests book it through the TA.
  11. @@MrandMrsBonitto2016 You're totally welcome. Just paying it forward because this site has made me so relaxed while planning mine! I am using Wright Travel Agency and our agents are so friggin helpful! They book the resort and airfare for my guests so I can avoid the same questions and phone calls over and over. They've saved me a ton of time so I can focus on other stuff, and they keep me updated with my guest count.
  12. @@MrandMrsBonitto2016 www.bbcrafts.com I ordered samples first (they have a link for just purchasing sample sashes to check out the color). My sashes are purplr organza.
  13. @@MrandMrsBonitto2016 OOT is "Out Of Town". Don't worry it took me a second to figure that out too! And tthey do charge $1 per sash to set up, which is ok for me because I ended up purchasing them for $.50 a piece and can hopefully give them to someone else. Centerpieces are charged $30 per table to setup. i believe that the minimum cost for a basic centerpiece rental is $80, and the pics I saw of what they had for that price was not flying with me. Lol. We wanted to make our own to go with our theme (beachy) and save some cash. Plus someone else can use these items too!
  14. @@MrandMrsBonitto2016 No problem! I am planning to take our chair sashes, sand ceremony items and our DIY centerpieces, so basically all the décor. LOL. We're also gonna bring our OOT bags and goodies, along with our bridal party gifts.
  15. @@EmilyR Hey and congrats on getting married! This site has helped a great deal for me deciding on Now and im less than 6 months out now! I looked around for travel agents too and went with Wright Travel Agency from this site. They've handled everything so far; booking flights and resort rooms for my guests, negotiating room prices and getting us promos. Also they provide transport to and from the airport for all guests. They also keep me updated with how many people have booked and if I need to secure more. They just required $100 per room and for oir promo I had to secure a minimum 6 rooms. Thats it!I secured 20 initially with our estimate but more people have booked and the agency took it upon themselves to contact the resort and get more, while making sure we received the samegroup rate! Im so glad that I decided to go with them because this is so much less stress! Check out their reviews on this site, and good luck!
  16. @@MrsFountain2B Hey just wondering if you've booked your flights yet?! I found out that AirTran Airlines is the only company that offers nonstop flights to and from Punta Cana. We originally were going to come down on Tuesday 8/26 or Wednesday 8/27 but those flights weren't nonstop, so we decided to come in on Monday 8/25! Now we're staying until Tuesday 9/2. Now that we've got that out the way, we're trying to figure out how we're going to bring all of our décor down there without paying a bunch of fees! LOL @@ajansen1 Hey and congrats on the upcoming destination wedding! I had the same dilemma with deciding between those resorts. Dreams was a place that everyone had been to on vacation to and raved about it. We had to look at our wedding guest group type to decide; I think Dreams might have been no kids (correct me if I'm wrong) and right now we have 9 children confirmed. It looked to me that Now had more on-site activities too (game room, casino, more restaurants, etc). Additionally, their negotiated room prices for the amount of guests that we were more expensive. Also, the wedding package offered with Now was more appealing to me than Dreams. I hope this helps in your decision!
  17. @PuntaCanaBride14 Did you email [email protected]? I emailed them back in January for my August wedding and got a response the next day. The spa's assistant who replied to me is Vanessa Disla. Worst case scenario, her phone number listed is 809-221-4646 Ext 7755. Good luck! @bethlorentz Your day will be here soon! I don't think it's unreasonable; I would just consider the size of your entire group before determining if that's what you want. We have 14 people as well for our entire bridal party, but didn't think we should have the long table because we only thought that maybe 40 people would go total, and we didn't want the place to look empty. LOL. So we decided to do the sweetheart table which is included in the Divine Package. Now we found out that so far 73 people are booked.... YIKES! But we aren't changing our minds about the table because we want everyone to mingle with everyone else! Hope my thoughts help!
  18. @@Lydia1120 Congrats on the recent wedding! Im interested in the his/hers sunglasses, garter, beach themed candles and the lingerie. Can u send me pics? drenna@@gmail.com
  19. @@vanessav53 Can you send me your pics as well?! Were you able to give them all to someone?
  20. I totally would like to see them! I can't see via this link, but can you email the pics to drenna@@gmail.com? I am still looking for some bags for my guests, and my wedding is in 6 months!
  21. I love your items! Sent a response via the website as well. Thanks!
  22. I purchased organza sashes for my upcoming wedding but they are not my exact shades of purple. Thought I'd check to see if they're close to someone else's colors! They're brand new (never used); I just opened the packages to pull one out and see the color and how they looked tied up. The purple is a shiny, closer to a sangria or wine type color. The lavender is a light purple but going toward the edge of pink. They're very pretty just not my colors! I have 25 lavender and 25 purple. $20 for each set, but you want all I'd take $30. Free shipping in the U.S. PM me for questions!
  23. @ MrsFountain2B @ Tiffany Ellison DJ Mannia is an outside vendor, but my coordinator confirmed Now Larimar does not charge the $500 fee for DJ's. They charge a percentage of what the resort would charge for the same service (I think it's like 20 or 25%). Anywho I informed my WC that I'm using DJ Mannia and she let me know the outside DJ charge is $190. Hope this helps! @ Welcome to the forums! Good luck in planning and I hope we can help answer some of the questions we've already had!
