  1. Is anyone planning a fairly big DW. We might have to invite about 125 guests. ( that's cutting it down ALOT) just wondering what people's response rates were? Did most people say yes, or did the cost deter them? Lol. We are inviting a few be ause they are family and would be insulted, but honestly would be ok of they opted out. I feel bad saying it but honestly I hate having to leave out friends to invite certain family we haven't seen in ages.

  2. I have read in previous posts that the buffet option is more expensive than the set menus, especially the more guests you have. Just something to think about
Yeah. I figured, just wish shed be a bit more specific. We've been trying to pull prices out of thin air. Not to mention that @ least here in the US you negotiate some of these things. Lol
  3. Has anyone ever asked Mayte the cost of a buffet? I'm starting to realize my questions to her need to be reaaaally specific. I wrote her " Do you have buffet options? " I don't see them listed. Her response... Yes , .... Lololol . So does anyone have a bit more specifics? Our Families love to eat, I like the idea of them getting a hearty mixed option meal.

  4. pinkie.gif I canâ€t explain how excited we are that we just confirm our date with Mayte. Now we can send out “save the dates†and start planning. We decide not to tell our guess we will be hosting our wedding off the resort but Iâ€m sure everyone will love Jellyfish, as we did.   This will be an exciting weekend.
I think we are going to do the same. Maybe leave jellyfish invites I their rooms after check in. I also want to dis courage people going to their own resorts if they know the wedding is off property.
  5. Haha yeah it is about time - although I must admit that I'm pretty sure we would have done this a long time ago if it wasn't for me... I've kind of always said I didn't know if I would ever get married... not for a lack of loving my Fiance ... its just never been high on my list of things to do!  What types of things are you putting in your Welcome Bags... more so anything really unique?   Not that I need any more ideas in my head about things to add - I have gone totally over board and still have a loooooooong time to keep adding stuff... but still I'm interested ; ) I will search back to try to find your pics. : )
It's funny you say that! People think I'm crazy when I say " we would have been married , but I dunno I like playing this house thing" . Lol! I too had not really spent too much time thinking of marriage. I guess I figured some day when I grow up ( I'm 34) hahaha. Yet here I am planning a destination wedding that's growing by the second. 0)

  7. My thoughts exactly. Besides there will always be a party going on for our anniversary. No ... I haven't picked a resort. I did decide I want the reception at the jellyfish. I asked her to hold the date for. Resort? Spoke with Patty a TA on here. I guess I'll keep reading and maybe visit a few places in August. I'm a flight attendant so it's certain,y easier for me than most to go check out the venues.

  8. Hi all! I will be getting married at PPR on June 28th, 2013! Very excited and a little overwhelmed with all the planning. I was wondering if someone could tell me what happens to the money you deposit in order to get the room block??? Can anyone recommend a good TA that works well with PPR and was able to get good flight prices? Thanks!!!
I had a very good and informative conversation with Patty from "wright travel" she's a TA listed on here. She gave me a lot of info and I told her what I'm interested in. She's based in the wet oats but has visited the properties.
  9. 400 I finally received a few responses from Mayte after a week or so. Pretty vague but I expected that from reading comments on here. I think we have decided on a date. October 31, 2014. I cannot wait to see the expression on ppl' s faces when they hear we are having a Halloween wedding. Lololol. It's so me to do that. I wanted Nov 1 and it was booked but didn't want to get too near Thanksgiving. So figured Why not? Has anyone been planning a Friday wedding? How's it working out with your guests? I can only assume I have the date reserved. I got a one sentence response from her" the date is yours". Lol! I'm pretty lax but this is going to be interesting
  10. Hello All Brand spanking new to the site and to being engaged. He popped the question in Paris last Sunday. :0) I don't know much, don't even have a concrete date yet. I do know I've been in love with the idea of a Jellyfish party for eons. Could someone please email me any information they might have on Jellyfish. Perhaps your costs for a 70 person wedding or so. Also is anyone working with a travel agent for better travel deals? Deepool10@gmail Please and thank you
