  1. oh god don`t say that . i just booked this resort for Dec. 6th. Hopefully she`ll get back to you soon
  2. Your date is just around the corner! I've read from other threads that Tai Flora is more expensive than Jan's Bridal and Flowers. Although if you advise Tai of the price difference they will meet and beat it. Just a thought. Where are you having your ceremony? and dinner/reception?
  3. sorry...new to navigating this site. this question is for sarshab
  4. My finance and I are in the middle of choosing a resort and we are 99% sure we are going to choose this one. Our tentative date is December 6th 2013 and I have one day left to confirm the date :s. I didn't think it would be this stressful to plan a destination wedding. Clearly I am too much of a planner/control freak - and am having a hard time committing to something that I can't see our visualize. I was just wondering what type of ceremony you are planning on having considering that you are already married. Can you still have a civil or religious ceremony at the resort? Or just a "renewal of the vows" ceremony? I would prefer to do the same thing as you so that we don't have to worry about notarizing and sending our legal documents. I'm wondering if the resort will still allow that.
  5. My Fiance and I are considering the Riu for a December wedding. I like the idea of the beach bonfire. Does anyone know if there is a cap on the number of guests you can have to have the bonfire? Or what the extra cost is to one?
  6. If all works out, I will be getting married in Riu Ocho Rios on Dec. 6th, 2013
  7. Great thread! Thanks for all the info. My fiance and I just got engaged and we are contemplating the Riu for December. I'm hoping that picking the resort will be the highest source of stress for me and it will be smooth sailing from here. Its a lot of pressure! LOL! I love the idea of the boarding pass. It is very unique. And I loved your flower too. I like the idea of having a beach bonfire after dinner and hoping it won't be an expensive extra. What did you do afterwards?
  8. Hi everyone, My finance and I got engaged two weeks ago and I am feeling overwhelmed already! I was hoping that a destination wedding would be less stressful but I am feeling a whole lot of anxiety in just picking a resort. We are looking at getting married in Dec. of this year and have narrowed down our options to either Riu Ocho Rios or Coconut Bay Resort in St. Lucia. They each have their pros and cons and I am nervous about making the wrong decision. If anyone has any opinions about either I am open to hearing them.
