  1. my finance is also starting to complain about how much time i spend on this site. LOL
  2. Very pretty dress! The detachable skirt is such a great idea!
  3. Yeah i need to get a move on that. I've got less than 6 months to the wedding date.
  4. How many are you at? Like SammyAnna said, just start commenting on anything. LOL
  5. Looking at all these gorgeous dresses is making me want to dress shop!
  6. I just got engaged a few weeks ago and we've decided on a December wedding in Ocho Rios Jamaica. I am hoping that choosing the resort and date was the most stressful part of this process! LOL! Now on to the invites!
  7. That's the thing about this site. There is a lot of great information but it could make you more overwhelmed. LOL
  8. oh wow! that's insane. this site is addictive though. I could be on it all day long!
  9. whats the big deal with having 150 posts anyway? do we get some special privledges??
  10. i'm only at 20 posts. long way to go still LOL
  11. you are making me start to panic. i haven't started on the invites yet. I don't even a guest list together and know how many invites I need! and we are getting married in December!
  12. Man I can't tell you how frustrated I have been this week. My FI and I have said all along that we would do a destination wedding. We live together and don't need anything house wise. We have been vocal with each other and our families that we would not have an engagement party, bridal shower or a big traditional wedding. We want to have a destination wedding and that's it. No reception when we get back...just low key, intimate and small. This is important to us but we are not going to spent an arm and a leg for it. There are renovations that we would like to do to our house instead. Everyone was fine with it at first and now suddenly everyone has an opinion on everything....the location, the date, wanting to have these extra parties and now wanting to have a reception when we get back. I hit my wits end today and ended up eating shitty stuff and didn't work out when I got home. Feel super happy with myself and everyone else right now.
  13. That is a very good way of describing the two choices. Considering that I would like a romantic and flowy dress and look, i think I am going to with romantic look of the pink/fuschia and white. Thanks for helping me make up my mind! lol
  14. I agree! There's so much information at your finger tips
  15. That is a relief to know! Thanks KDoyle!
  16. I'm torn actually. i like the idea of silvery purple and a light grey. but I also like the idea of pink/fusia/white. Am I in trouble that i haven't figured that out and booked the florist yet? I just confirmed the date and I'm working on the group rate and booking with the travel agent. Do they need a lot of notice? We're 6 months out and I am starting to realize that I have a lot to do.
  17. That's awesome! Hopefully it won't be too windy and blow the runner and petals away. LOL! i think it will look very romantic. Do you have a colour theme in mind?
  18. I am thinking of renting the aisle runner from the florist and decorating it with rose petals. I wanted to line the aisle with lanterns and then use those and the petals to decorate the tables.
  19. Sticking to it is the hardest part. I did not do well this weekend in the eating healthy dept. Went over to a girlfriend's house who is an amazing cook and host. Totally over indulged. Good for you!! Those are amazing results over a two week span! Neither am I! I am not coherent until I have some coffee. LOL!
  20. We chose Riu Ocho Rios on Dec. 6th 2013 for our wedding. I have been obsessed with this site since I discovered it. It is very useful and has TONS of info and ideas. Its great!
  21. Hey everyone! Glad I found this forum. Lots of interesting information, situations and suggestions. I can`t believe someone tried to fake their own death . I got engaged a few weeks ago and decided on Dec. 6th as our wedding date. I would like to lose 20-25 lbs by the wedding day....hopefully lol. it is doable right!!! I started the Jillian Michael's Body revolution about a month ago and prior to getting engaged cause I was frustrated with the holiday weight gain and I was back to my heaviest weight ever. Now i have a huge motivator to actually stick to it. I lost about 4 lbs so far (hard to tell right now due to mother nature). I am going to weigh myself and take my measurements on Monday to check in and see the progress. I do see changes in my body. There is less cellulite in the legs and butt, my legs are firmer and I feel like I see the biggest changes in my mid section but then again, that is my biggest problem. I can not tell you how motivating it is to work out when you remind yourself that all your friends and families will be seeing you in a bathing suit soon. LOL! Anywho, I really like the program so far. It is a 90 day program and the workouts are 30 mins. It is set up that you work out 6 times a week. You work out the front of your body in one workout, then your back in another and there is a cardio workout. You do each one twice a week rotating through them. I have not been able to work out 6 days a week because I play baseball one night a week. I had every intention of baseball being my rest day and still working out 6 days but I have found so far that I do need a day to actually rest. So I have been rotating the DVDs over 5 days. Now I wish that I had taken a picture of myself when I started but at the time I was too embarrassed by the way I looked and could not bring myself to take a picture of myself. I try hard to make smart food choices but I find that this is my weakness. I am of Italian descent....carbs and sweets are engraved into our DNA. hahaha!
